Spectacular Views from every room Right on the Lake with Dock & Kayaks

On a bluff that overlooks Lake Cushman, you will be enchanted with the stunning views of the Olympic Mountains and beautiful Lake Cushman from every angle within the house. A newer home with a cabin feel and modern amenities, knotty pine trim and rustic wood furniture, it is a comfortable place to enjoy the serene setting of the mountains and the lake. There is a wrap around deck on the first floor, with a table for four and a view down the lake. In a private area, on the back of the house, there is a patio where you may BBQ on a propane or charcoal grill, eat at a picnic table, and enjoy a small fire in the fire pit. On the second floor, there are two bedrooms that access a private balcony where you can sit and relax and let your worries float away. You can access the lakeside down a winding path to a covered deck, the "Tiki Bar", that overlooks the lake. We have provided two sit upon kayaks for guest use from Memorial Day through Labor Day. There is a park for residents and their guests minutes from the house with play areas, picnic tables, a safe swim area and a boat launch and dock. There are two security cameras outside facing the parking area and a door lock code that changes with each rental for guest security. Please note that the hot tub and row boat are not available for guest use. There is no onsite boat trailer parking. Special arrangements by the manager would need to be made for a boat for a boat pass and trailer parking. For visiting the local parks, there is one car pass available for one car but any additional car passes would have to be arranged by the manager.

Perfection! The view was breathtaking just as stated from every room. We spent most of our time on the deck just relaxing. Another area to the side of the house had a fire pit with more chairs, grill, and a picnic table. Plenty of room for us. There was a switchback pathway down to the beach and another sitting area.Even on vacation, I love to cook and there was everything I needed, including appliances! First level is open concept, which allowed for great interaction between the living room area to dining room to kitchen.The two bedrooms are upstairs and how wonderful it was to wake up in the morning to view those beautiful mountains. Beds were extremely comfortable with plenty of pillows or extra blankets if needed. With three bathrooms, no one would have to wait!The property was well maintained and the house was very clean and tidy. The bookcase was filled with a variety of DVDs books and games. Wi-Fi worked well and even our cell phones worked well.Communication. Again, I would say excellent. This host has thought of everything. There is a notebook which provides information about anything you would ever want to ask regarding the house and surrounding area. Also, there were very detailed and clear instructions on how to get to the property as it is in a gated community. If it weren’t for some doctors appointments we had to attend. I would’ve definitely asked if we could’ve stayed a few more days. Will be back!

Yes, we would certainly rent to Carolyn again. She communicated with us well, helped us to diagnose little problems in the house so that we could be aware of issues with the house and make changes so the house is in working order, which we really appreciated. She even changed the fire alarm battery for us which saved a trip from the cleaning staff. She left the house clean and in good condition and took care to strip the sheets and towels before she left. We hope that Carolyn will be able to come back and visit again another day.

The rental property was everything we were looking for! Amazing views, quiet and relaxing atmosphere and very clean.The lake was beautiful and kayaks were a wonderful addition. Plenty of bathrooms, so no waiting, the rooms were spacious and the kitchen supplied all our cooking needs. It’s a perfect weekend get away, and wonderful stopping point for plenty of hikes. I only wish we booked more time!

Family Trip to Olympic National Park and Area

Really great house and fantastic view - we had an absolute blast !! Loved the outside decks and seating area with fire pit - watched shooting stars at night - and the tiki bar and kayaking off the dock was awesome !! We highly recommend and are ready to come back !!

Kayaking Paradise

This home is very comfortable and has the most incredible views. As kayakers the location cannot be beat. The coves and shoreline near Eagles Rest are so much fun to explore. We highly recommend this gem and look forward to our next visit.

Olympic National park /eagles rest

Spectacular home! The views were breathtaking and our family of 5 enjoyed swimming and kayaking, the outdoor fire pit and relaxing on the deck watching the sunset. The house was clean and had everything needed for our short 3 day stay. Would highly recommend and look forward to a return trip if we are able!

Spectacular Views, Delightful Home!

This was a truly “pinch me” kind of experience. The views were spectacular from every part of the house. The accommodations were very comfortable and well equipped. The use of the dock and kayaks made the lake was so much fun! We were taking friends from out of state and it made their vacation!

Overall good. Lots of space to move around. Kitchen supplies were adequate but an odd mixture of different plates, cups, and utensils. It was quiet. We never used the pool which was unusual for us. Parking was close, but no shade in the parking areas. You can use the dunes buggy to get to the beach, but we were successful at finding parking at the Dunes House each day for beach access...but you need to get there early.

Not the Eagle's Rest. Guest or VRBO got a mix up.We have covered parking and we have matching dishwear and a compete set of cookwear. We are not located near a beach nor have a dune buggy. We don't have a pool. Arrival date was June 12 not June 11.

Relaxation perfection!

If you are looking to turn off from the rest of the world and just relax this is the place to do so. From the booking to check-out our stay was wonderful and hassle free. The house was spotless, well stocked kitchen, lots of room, and views for days!!! The lake was just a short walk down the property and offered endless hours of entertainment. We vacation every summer at lake Cushman and this is so far the best spot we have stayed.

Spectacular views

This was an amazing place to wind down after an Alaskan cruise. The view was breathtaking and the stars at night above the big pine trees was simply beautiful. We got to kayak on the beautiful lake cushman and did some hiking around the area. Port Townsend is a quaint little town to visit. Mike was very attentive to our needs and the notes he left around the place were very helpful. Please do yourself a favor and rent this place for some stunning views and an amazing time!!

Unbelievable View!

We couldn't have imagined a more stunning view than this Lake Cushman retreat offered! We were there over a long Labor Day weekend and enjoyed spending time on the deck, hiking, swimming, kayaking and scuba diving in the nearby Sound. The kitchen is well appointed, the beds comfortable, and overall a lovely home! There are stores, parks, restaurants, and the Sound all within a 15 minute drive. We would definitely return and we're so glad we chose this property for our vacation!
