We have just got back from a fabulous stay at the villa.Angela, Enzo and their family were amazing hosts. They were very welcoming, offered us fruit and veg from their garden which were amazing and even gave us supplies when we headed to the beach for the day.The villa was exactly as described and was stunning to look at. The rooms were very clean and the balconies offered lovely views.The pool area was brilliant with comfortable sun loungers and towels available. The pool itself was lovely and clean and had wonderful views of the sea and Mount Etna. The location was about 45 mins drive from Catania airport and as long as you had a car you were easily accessible to local supermarkets and nearby towns which came alive at night. It was a 30 mins drive to Taormina which is a must visit. Would 100% recommend visiting the area and staying at the villa.

The Villa and Pool were amazing. Absolutely faultless. The host and Family were so helpful and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. The views around the locale ( sea and Mt Etna) were beautiful. Villa was immaculate and had all amenities for a very comfortable stay. Perfectly situated for day trips to Syracuse for architecture and history, Day and nights in vibrant Taormina. 15 mins from Acireale for stunning Baroque architecture and lovely restaurants. Perfectly placed for half day trip up Mt Etna and snorkelling at Isola Bella. Relaxing at the end of each evening with a glass of Angela & Enzo’s home produced wine was just perfect. We would definitely stay again. Thank you to Angela, Enzo, Salvo & family for a wonderful holiday x

Fantastic stay

Really nice place, ideally situated on the slopes of the Etna. Not very far from the different hiking starts on the mountain.The owners are also wine producers and are really friendly!We had a great stay! Thanks!

Lovely host family, around if you needed them, but left you alone to enjoy your holiday. The gardens and balconies of this property are the real stars with views out to Mount Etna and the coast. I don't know if it is always like that but there was a lot provided in the kitchen in terms of oil, salt, wine, water, cereal etc. Two good size bedrooms both with air con although we didn't need that going late September. Santa Venerina had a couple of great meat and pizza restaurants plus a McDonalds and all you can eat sushi not too far away to keep the kids quiet. Our only problem was Mount Etna closing Catania airport for both our incoming and outgoing flights, which were diverted to Palermo. If Etna is active and you don't want that risk and all the chaos and expense making last minute arrangements fly in and out of Palermo to start with and stay a bit in both areas, its not that bad a drive. Dont expect any help from Easyjet or Ryanair apart from offer of a refund when a volcano gets them out of responsibility.

A beautiful sanctuary at the foot of Mount Etna

We had a fantastic time. Salvo was an incredible host and we were enamoured with the beautiful house, gardens and lovely swimming pool! We also loved his moms pasta dishes - the best food we had during our time in Sicily! The town of Santa Venerina is a short walk away and has plenty of restaurants and a decent Supermarket too. Would love to come back for another visit.

Fabulous pool!

Salvo and his family were very welcoming. They gave us some of their tasty home grown vegetables, along with wine, pastries pasta and cake. They even provided and lit their own charcoal for our bbqs. Great views from the balconies of Etna and the sea. The pool was amazing!

High quality accommodation in a beautiful setting, kind, hospital owners

Enjoyed a great week with my husband, daughter, son in law & our granddaughter in this spacious, very clean, well equipped, beautiful villa with sea & mountain views. High quality cot, high chair & baby gate provided by the kind owners, a family of four who made us very much at home & let us feel nothing was too much trouble. The large private pool was a real winner, again immaculately clean with quality sun beds, family table & beautiful views. This was very much a family holiday where we wanted to relax and remain fairly home based & Villa Del Sole was the perfect place to do this. Thank you so much Enzo, Angela, Salvo & Alfina for making our stay in your beautiful home so pleasurable, from the Murray family xxx

Paradise in a wonderful corner of Eastern Sicily!

Villa Sole based in an easily accessible(for Etna and all of the east side of Sicily) and rural location..wonderful villa with every facility you could imagine or wish for. The house is beautifully furnished and immaculately presented ,the gardens and pool are what you could only wish for! Above all the support, care and warmth from our hosts made this somewhere we would return to and would highly recommend others to visit. The photos do not give the place due credit. Without doubt the BEST overall place we have stayed in ..in over 40 years of global travel!! Thank you Alfina,Salvo,Angela and Enzo...much appreciated! Ciao! Grazie Mille!

Wij hebben een fijne 4 dagen doorgebracht in deze mooie villa,waar vooral het zwembad erg bijzonder )groot en prachtig gelegen) is.Santa Venerina is een prettig plaatsje met alle faciliteiten die je graag hebt op een vakantie. Je moet bij het verblijf in dit appartement wel rekenen met het feit dat je de villa samen met de eigenaar bewoont en dat je elkaar erg goed kan horen.

We had a very good time in this villa, located in Santa Venerina, with a lovely pool! A good starting point for visiting Etna, Taormina, Siracusa and Alcantara Gorge. Very friendly hosts who take good care. We loved it!

Beautiful villa, lovely pool and amazing views

My family and I spent a wonderful ten days at this villa, enjoying the hospitality of Salvo, Alfina, Angela and Enzo. Such a lovely family who made us feel very welcome and treated us to samples of lovely homemade food, refreshing treats by the pool and wine made from the family's vineyard. The villa is beautiful and the gardens are wonderful, as is the setting, very clean, secure and well kept. The pool is stunning with Mount Etna dominating the skyline behind. The villa is well placed for exploring the surrounding areas of Catania and Taormina and of course Mt Etna but a car is definitely an asset. I would highly recommend Villa del Sole and would hope one day to return. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and the opportunity to experience such a captivating country, Thank you again to our hosts. The Firmstone family x

Bellissima villa

La Villa è molto bella, arredata con gusto e calore, ci si sente come a casa propria. Per descrivere il giardino non ci sono parole. Bisogna vederlo e viverlo. L'accoglienza dei proprietari è quanto di meglio ci si possa aspettare. Soggiorno assolutamente da raccomandare per chi voglia visitare questa parte della Sicilia.

Fabulous villa, spacious and quiet

We had a lovely time staying at this house for our holiday in late September. We had everything we needed with lots of peace and quiet for the 2 of us. The house has plenty of space with 2 bedrooms and 2 lovely balconies; one for breakfast in the morning sun, and the other with views of the vineyards and Mount Etna. The swimming pool and area is spacious and peaceful with views of Etna. Even though by late September when we stayed, the temperature in Sicily is less than the height of the summer and so the water is a little cooler, we did enjoy spending time by the pool and swimming in it. The owners live onsite/ next door and are a lovely local family. They were fantastic and generous hosts, from making us feel at home with their hospitality, to giving us useful help and recommendations for the best local restaurants in the nearby village and sampling some of their local produce. The house is on a hill side with great views. The local village where we ate and drank is within a 20 minute walking distance or 5 mins in a car. With a car you can easily access the attractions and beaches in a short space of time. Our first trip to Sicily was made even more delightfully memorable by the house and our lovely hosts, Salvo, Angela and Enzo.

Superb accommodation and hospitality. I can highly recommend this villa for its privacy, hospitality of the hosts/ Alfina who is onsite, the pool, location to beaches, Taormina and of course Mt Etna. Taormina and Etna well worth it. The house is well appointed and the views are spectacular, Etna one side and the coast the other. The pool area and grounds are splendid! 'We' inc wife and two boys aged 6 & 9 were very sad to leave Villa del Sole - enjoy it!

Da non perdere.......

Abbiamo affittato questa splendida casa per due setimane ad Agosto. Le foto sul sito non rendono completamente giustizia alla location. La casa a nostra disposizione era ben attrezzata, con cambi sia di lenzuola che asciugamani. Non mancava nulla è ci è stata consegnata perfettamente pulita. Il giardino e la piscina sono invece da urlo !!!!!!! Spettacolari. Ma la cosa decisamente fantastica sono i proprietari. Attenti, sempre pronti ad ogni nostra richiesta o problema. Dopo 15 giorni di vacanza li abbiamo salutati con gli occhi umidi. Grazie ad Angela ed Enzo per aver trasformato il nostro soggiorno in una vacanza perfetta. Consigliatissima
