Cindy has cleaned our cabin for over 10 yrs and her number is posted at the cabin. She's is always available for any cleaning needs. Steps to main level of cabin can be seen in the photos and are straight forward. Yes we always suggest in our directions and lock box template that if u plan to arrive at night it will be very dark outside as there are no street lights In the mtns. Our home has plenty of lights on the front and rear of the home with flood lights labeled at the wall switch which light up the front stairs.

2 new ACs installed in 2020. AC continued to work fine throughout stay. Tech was out 2 hours after report of water dripping from tongue and groove wood ceiling. AC condensation drain line was reported to be clogged. Line was flushed and not an issue since. Thanks for keeping us aware of any issues noticed.

Summer is peak season at Lake Lure. The entire small town gets lots of visitors. Anyone who is a well versed traveler would have found Rumbling Bald Resort to be the only Resort on all of Lake Lure. It is the place to be during the summer months. We have never ever had a guest c/o the resort nor the area during peak season. Our cabin based on the photos and our prior guests stays is known to have stairs. As far as cob webs and/or linen or supply issues all you would have had to do is ask us about them. Supplies and additional Linens are kept locked up in the basement and what is put out is to get guests started. Cindy who has cleaned our place for over 5 years has her number posted on the fridge and is also on the counter and her or I are always available should there ever be any issues needing addressed. We do opt to not have the interior sprayed during the rental season as we fear some of our guests kids might be sensitive to this as well as our cancer kids who stay during the weeks of Camp Care at near by Camp Lure-Crest. The exterior is sprayed quarterly though we ask that it not be done during guests stays. All the homes around the Lake Lure area are surrounded by woods and forest. There are bugs, fox, raccoons, turkey, deer, snakes, bear. Lake Lure is a beautiful place ( not developed as other tourist areas) The entire Lake Lure area is also poor in residential internet service as noted in our listing. ATT and Verizon we have never had phone reception issue with. Our cabin is a place for our family as well as others to get away from the busy day to day life and enjoy the surroundings and the simple things. We have over 55 combined years in Healthcare and purchased the place after volunteering at Camp Care and learning of the short supply of homes nearby. During this annual event it is often some kids last months and they simply want to get away from the hospitals and Healthcare. Our place has provided many parents a close and comfy place to stay while there kids with cancer are at Camp Care ( parents are not typically allowed ) and our kids and family have enjoyed the area as well as volunteering with this and other pediatric cancer events. The cabin is close to all Lake Lure has to offer and we always encourage our guests to enjoy the many things on our suggestion list as well as the amenities at Rumbling Bald Resort.
