La Mill House était autrefois un moulin à eau en activité. La chambre double située au rez-de-chaussée possède une belle fenêtre cintrée sur laquelle tournait la roue du moulin. The Mill House propose désormais un hébergement polyvalent pouvant accueillir jusqu'à 6 personnes - idéal pour les familles ou les réunions d'amis. La propriété a été entièrement rénovée et redécorée à un niveau élevé. Le logement comprend une grande cuisine-salle à manger au rez-de-chaussée, deux chambres (toutes deux avec lits doubles) une avec salle de bains et salle de bains familiale. A l'étage se trouve le salon avec poêle à bois et la troisième chambre (lits jumeaux) et salle de bains. Il y a une cour pavée à l'arrière de la maison avec une table et des chaises à l'extérieur.

Extremely spacious house in a perfect location for a wedding at Holwell Farm. Joy was very responsive in the run up to the stay and popped by to check everything was ok after arriving. The Viennese cream biscuits on arrival were amazing and a nice touch. Would recommend this place to anyone who wants a spacious 3 bed with large kitchen, table and separate lounge area

Bampton is a charming historic market town in mid-Devon, perched on the banks of the River Batherm on the edge of Exmoor National Park.



Despite its small size, Bampton has a surprising range of local amenities including pubs, restaurants, a late-opening supermarket, post office, butcher, greengrocer, chemist, and a heritage and visitor centre. The town has a rich history stretching from its Saxon origins through the Norman motte and bailey, the medieval wool and pony trade, and the quarrying of local stone.



Bampton was awarded official 'Walkers Are Welcome' status in 2022, recognising the excellent network of footpaths that criss-cross the surrounding countryside. The town sits on the Exe Valley Way long-distance footpath and is also on the West Country Way cycle route. Exmoor National Park, Wimbleball Lake, and the Grand Western Canal are all within easy reach for walks, cycle rides, and outdoor activities.



The annual Bampton Charter Fair was established by Royal Charter in 1258 and is held every year on the last Thursday in October. Originally one of the largest sheep fairs in the west of England, the fair today features a traditional funfair, street market, craft fair in the church, and local produce -- a wonderful community event with over 760 years of history. Bampton is also famous for its floral displays, having won the national Britain in Bloom competition several times.
