The Taiga 2, Appartement studio

La Taiga House est situĂ©e dans la forĂȘt juste au nord du parc national de Denali. Une fois un B & B spacieux appelĂ© "The Grand View", il a Ă©tĂ© transformĂ© en une maison familiale avec deux locations de vacances. Notre rĂ©sidence de trois chambres, au deuxiĂšme Ă©tage est attenante, mais privĂ©e, avec une entrĂ©e et une cour qui lui est propre, une vue imprenable sur le paysage des montagnes locales et un charme abondant.
Notre studio est situé au rez-de-chaussée, sous notre location de 3 chambres. Avec une entrée indépendante. Il dort deux, avec un lit queen, salle de bain complÚte, salon / salle à manger et une cuisine entiÚrement équipée plus une laveuse / sécheuse.

Perfect location as a base for visiting Denali. Cozy studio perfect for two people. Very quiet area with a nice hike right from the property. The owners are very nice and allowed us to check in early which was much appreciate as it was difficult to determine our exact arrival time due to road closures caused by forest fires. Perfect stay in every way.

Perfect home base for visiting Denali NO

This studio apartment is compact but nicely furnished with essential amenities for travelers visiting Denali. We were able to make a full breakfast in the kitchen before heading out for a long day of hike and tour. The in-unit washer/dryer was greatly appreciated to get clothes cleaned after many sweaty and dusty activities including a fun ATV ride

Perfect distance to Denali and one of the nicest places we stayed on our trip. Todd greeted us and offered suggestions for hiking and seeing the Mountain. We plan to come back to see Denali and would want to stay here again!

Great location

This studio was perfect for my husband and I. The location was close to Denali National Park where we had a great time exploring. The studio was well equipped, and even included a washer and dryer which was necessary after our adventure. We would definitely stay here again if back in the area.

Perfect Stay

My wife and I stayed at Taiga 2 during our two day visit to Denali National Park. We were very impressed by the excellent condition of the property. Everything was immaculate and looked brand new! This is a studio apartment so the space is relatively compact but that was hardly noticeable because the design was so well thought out. We had everything we needed, including laundry, and we were completely comfortable. What a gem. Proximity to Denali NP was excellent. Taiga 2 was the perfect stay for us on our 40th wedding anniversary trip through Alaska. We definitely recommend this property to any couple looking to stay in the area. Thank you so much for an outstanding experience.

Great place to stay and day trip to Denali

This place was great. Super comfortable. Easy to get to and super accommodating hosts. Todd had great suggestions for things to do and I took the Kantishna bus tour and saw 9 grizzly bears that day! I’d stay here again.

HÎte : Todd and Julie Shorey

The Taiga House is owned by Todd and Julie Shorey. Todd travelled to Alaska in 1986 and discovered the wonders of Denali National Park and the warmth of the people of the Interior, and never left. He has worked as a tour guide in the summer sun, and a carpenter on many Denali projects through out the winter months. Julie is a life long Alaskan, who grew up just down the road in Cantwell. Our family enjoys salmon fishing, hiking in Denali, picking and eating the seasonal berries, and the winter sports of ice hockey and skiing. Life is good for us here in Healy, and we look forward to sharing our mountain view home with you, and our knowledge of the Alaskan Interior.

Our family purchased this house and six acres of property in 2011 as we moved north from McKinley Village, and instantly fell in love with the open landscape that flows from the south door to the Mountains of Denali Park. We are sure you'll agree that our location is ideal for your once in a lifetime Alaskan experience.
