Everything was wonderful and the host was incredibly kind and responsive. The only issue that we encountered was that the cleaning service did not clean the bathrooms or floors before our arrival. That was disturbing, but we understand that these things sometimes happen. Overall our stay was very enjoyable and we loved the location.

Hi Kasey, Thank you for staying Salty! I cannot apologize enough that you did not find the house properly cleaned for your arrival. I take housekeeping extremely seriously and I have let my service provider know of your review and that this is unacceptable and I will need to find another service provider if this is an issue in the future. I would kindly suggest that if you have an issue with a rental in the future to contact owner/manager and request that they address. I always want to make things right during stay. Amazing Family Beach Stay

We stay in Pointe West a lot and this beach house will be one of the favorites. It was perfectly located on the beach with amazing views and was nicely renovated. A lot of the houses provide wagons to carry beach gear so it’s good to know this one does not have one so bring your own. We will definitely be back!

Unbeatable views and remodeled comfort

Our family has made many trips to Pointe West over the years, and Stay Salty was by far the best view of any of them. The outdoor balconies are comfortable and inviting. The interior is updated and modern. The kitchen is fantastic for cooking for large groups. We also loved the extremely close access to the beach.

Beautiful beach getaway!

Booked a last minute trip for our family. Loved waking up to an ocean view every morning, loads of space to cook, eat and gather and easy access to walks on the beach. House was beautiful and thoughtfully appointed. Only complaint is that our stay was too short!

We all enjoyed our stay and loved the large balconies that faced the beach. Balconies were all furnished with couches large enough to sleep on. Also the private fishing trip (listed under things to do in the house book recommendations) we took was a great experience. First time we caught a shark.

House was just as advertised. Kitchen had everything we needed. Beach toys were a plus and the beds were comfy! Pointe West is a great location.

Amazing views

We had a great labor day weekend gateway, a super short walk to the beach, the beach toys were a great surprise for the kids and the ability to use the club properties was a huge plus when the kids wanted pool instead of bech.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beachfront home near Galveston! The location could not have been more perfect — right on the beach with a stunning, unobstructed view of the Gulf. It was peaceful, quiet, and felt like our own private slice of paradise.The outdoor space overlooking the water was our favorite spot to relax, and inside, the kitchen and living area offered the same gorgeous views through large windows that filled the home with natural light. Everything was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained.The owner was incredibly responsive, kind, and accommodating, making the booking and stay seamless from start to finish. We truly didn’t want to leave and can’t wait to visit again!

It was great except there was a smoke detector that needed a new battery and it beeped the whole time, like every minute. Kept me awake at night. Other that it was great! Hope battery gets changed before next renters arrive.

Second time at Stay Salty

We love renting this property to close out summer, and it’s our second time renting. The location is perfect. My favorite aspect of this house is the ocean view. We always feel relaxed when we leave. The property was immaculately clean. Communication with the owner was great.

Nice Beach Home

We enjoyed our stay! The location was great with just a short, easy walk to the beach; great views; neighborhood was lovely and good for the kids to ride bikes. Water pressure is great and beds are comfortable. Bathrooms are clean! Kitchen is nice and open; love that it is on the top floor with best views. A couple suggestions to make things even better: clean the windows on the top floor; consider deep cleaning or even replace the carpet as it has a musty smell.

Beautiful Property

We are regulars to Pointe West multiple times per year. Had been staying in larger homes as our group has grown. We stayed in this property several years ago and loved it so when our first trip this summer was going to be just our family and my wife’s godparents we looked up this property to book again. The updates they’ve made since our last stay are wonderful. Our favorite part of this property is the view laying in bed in the master. Fall asleep to looking at the moonlight on the the gulf. Owners are fantastic communicators as well. I’m filling this out as we just made it back home and trip let down already set in. We will be back!

Great View!

My family truly enjoyed our stay! The owners really thought about the homey touches. We loved the decorations, the games and books that were left there, and the beautiful view! The games kept my 3 year old entertained for a while! The kitchen was well stocked and everything was clean. I completely agree with the comment before me that there's just a few things that would have made the stay even better. The master bedroom had a musty smell the entire time that I think shampooing the carpets would fix. We also chose this beach house for the view but the windows needed to be cleaned. Overall, we had a great experience and we can't wait to stay again in the future!

Thank you for choosing our beach house and providing review. The beachfront location does provide for amazing views but keeping windows clean with constant marine layer is a challenge. I have scheduled windows to be cleaned. In addition, we do have plans to remove all carpets and replace with faux hard wood. In the meantime we have had carpets cleaned. Nice property. Two issues to give feedback about: 1. I was locked out and it took much insistence with VRBO (and at least 2 hrs) to solve this. It would have been wonderful if these problem could have been included in the contract (so many detalis were explained, how about including this one: how to avoid or solve if this were to happen?) 2. One night we had very noisy parties going on from two of the neighbors. Called the police at 2 am and they did not show up. What would be your suggestion? Again, perhaps include this situation in the contract!). Thanks.
