Charmant cottage en bardeaux de cĂšdre

Un chalet de 3 chambres au bord du lac. Intérieur en pin noueux avec une large façade sur Big Pond. Quai sur la propriété. N'hésitez pas à apporter vos propres bateaux non motorisés (kayaks, canoës, chaloupes à rames, pédalos / planches, etc.).

La location est hebdomadaire du samedi au samedi.
Arrivée aprÚs 16h00.

La chambre principale a un lit double et deux commodes.
La premiĂšre chambre a un lit double et une commode.
La deuxiÚme chambre a un lit superposé avec deux lits jumeaux en haut et un lit double en dessous avec le lit double convertible en canapé si / quand nécessaire et une commode.

Laveuse et sécheuse sur place.

The house is gorgeous with lots of windows looking out on a beautiful lake. The hosts are very responsive. It snowed the night we arrived and the driveway was plowed by 8 am. Highly recommended.

Cabin was a great location. Very charming with rural charm. Great access to the lake and very close to the Appalachian Trail for hikers. Comfortable beds and well appointed.

The area around the cabin and lake is scenic and beautiful. Heavily-wooded with gravel roads so it feels like you’re on a camping trip. The cabin is old, rustic, and very cozy. Like stepping back in time into an old hunting lodge. From dusk to dawn the lake is extremely quiet and serene. During the daytime activity on the lake brings a bit of noise and boat traffic past the cabin’s dock and shoreline. The kitchen is well-equipped with modern amenities, as is the entire cabin. A wonderful place to unplug and unwind. The rooms and screened-in porch were all clean and comfortable, with plenty of storage. The walk from the deck to the dock and water is a short, easy few stairs. And the available grill, charcoal, games, books, and boats give you endless options for entertainment. The only areas of improvement we found were the mattresses (we both slept horribly and got up with back pain), and the outside of the cabin being in need of some dusting (cobweb/debris removal from the outside of the windows and screens). Overall we were very happy with the cabin and our stay, and would highly recommend to anyone in search of an affordable, fun, rustic, relaxing lake vacation!

The views of the water, the warmth of a well loved and used cottage and the ease of staying here make it pure magic. Everything you could need for a fun week is here, whatever the season! Grateful for another week of rest, peace and a reset!

Lake house Getaway

Property was as described, a rustic lake house with modern conveniences. Our only glitch was that we were not sent the key code from VRBO. Once that was resolved, everything went smoothly.

Cozy cabin in perfect location

Wonderful little log cabin. Plenty of room for a family of 5. If you’re used to living in the city be prepared - this is not a modern, luxurious dwelling but it has everything you need and is exceedingly comfortable. It oozes charm and the ultra quiet location right on the lake (Big Pond) is postcard picture perfect. The hosts Sarah and David were very responsive and helpful. We highly recommended them and their beautiful home.

Another wonderful stay

Spring, summer and now fall- love this cottage and its location on Big Pond! We feel comfortable and at home while we explore the area. Highly recommend this if you are looking for a peaceful, lovely stay in a great New England location!

Just the place to recharge and appreciate nature

Check in process was seamless and the property is as stated in the listing. Communication with the host could’ve been a little faster but they were very nice in general. The location is just beautiful and so peaceful it was worth every $ we spent. Very cozy home, beautiful sunrise right outside the door and the water makes things 10x beautiful. Sounds of nature and the silence like no other. Loved our stay. My only suggestion to ensure the space was cleaned a bit more. It wasn’t filthy but needed some dusting. Bedding was comfortable and clean. But I’d totally rent this space again loved it! Thank you for this listing!

Great Stay

We have enjoyed our stay here, especially the location. This is an older home, cabin style, as we expected but it had everything we needed. Our kids like to fish so it was the perfect location for that being right on the water. A bit of a drive if you are trying to be near a city but it worked for us since we were visiting family.

Heaven on earth

This was my second time staying at this charming cozy cottage. There was never a dull moment with kayaking swimming, walking and paddle boarding. We played rousing games at night and laughed more than we have in years. Highly recommend this wonderful spot!!

Beautiful and Magical

This is our second year in your home, and it was just as amazing as last year! Big pond itself holds this magic that simply heals and rejuvenates your soul. This home is cozy, comfortable, and functional. We loved having kayaks to use during our time. The kids enjoyed the dock where they spent hours a day fishing. I highly recommended this home if youre looking to stay on big pond!

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

This cottage was built by our grandfather and great-grandfather in the 1940s. The photo of us at the lake is circa 1976. Our parents had the cottage enlarged and winterized in 1990. They lived here for a time as their primary residence. It’s a wonderful spot for family vacations, a gathering of friends, quality quiet time or a special holiday.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

Big Pond is a lovely lake approx 1 mile across, and 1.5 miles long, stocked with fish, and a great place to paddle around. While there are many cottages, it is not overcrowded with people or powerboats. There is a charming village nearby with a country store, roadside syrup stands, and a local ice cream shop. Along with all of the cultural attractions as close as 15 minutes, there are also several small and large ski slopes very close as well.
