Lake House Retreat

For my wife and I it’s a great and relaxing retreat that’s close to family and friends. House felt like home, we loved the view in the back sun room and the covered dock was awesome.

Astounding

We felt at home the second we walked through the door. The house was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed. The beds must have been made out of clouds, because they were unbelievably comfortable. The location was fantastic, and the lake view was stunning! We will absolutely be staying here on our next trip.

Our Chipley Go to place

The owners of this place go over and above. We have stayed here 3 times (possibly 4). Would not consider another place if wanting to stay in this area.

Loved the property! The house was easy to find and the lake was beautiful. The home itself was clean and inviting. We loved the sun room / porch area! It is in a rural area and it was very quiet. I liked the security of being in a gated community. The location was perfect for Seacrest Wolf (about 10 mins). Its about 50 mins from Panama City Beach. We loved our time here and would stay here again!

Great get away

Excellent place to stay. Private, on the lake for fishing and swimming. Just up the road from Cypress Springs and Boat Lake swim park. Owners of the property were great to work with. Will definitely come back

GREAT PLACE TO JUST RELAX

What a great place to stay and enjoy northern Florida! We were there for a month and enjoyed it very much. The home is very well maintained with ample room and is stocked with all of the necessary cooking utensils and dishes that you might need. The lake view and sunsets are fantastic and beautiful. Would very much consider visiting again!

Our 2nd stay

We stayed here several years ago and it’s still a great place to stay. The home is conveniently located north of the PCB crowds and near several lovely State parks. However, you can sit on the dock and enjoy watching the fish jump or take the jon boat out on the beautiful lake. Immaculately clean and well supplied, I highly recommend this home.

Very relaxing and peaceful

We had a lovely time. We stayed here on 2 different occasions, and plan on returning again. Beautiful setting, quiet, relaxing and a perfect home for family. The boat dock on the lake is the ideal place to watch the sunset. The owner Don has always been more than helpful. And look forward to our next visit.

Beautiful lake house

House was more than what I expected. It was clean it had everything we needed to clean, cook, and spend some time with family. The backyard view was just fabulous. No words can express the great time we had in this property. Thank you for giving us a great experience!

Super relaxing time

Everything went smoothly. The place is perfect for a relaxing time. It was just my husband and I and two of our sons. We took great pictures at the lake. They enjoyed getting in it... I was the designated photographer :) Not far from the beach. We hD an amazing time!!! We will definitely go back. Thank you!!

Our Home Away From Home

We absolutely love this lakefront home! We’ve stayed here twice while visiting family in the area, and each time has been wonderful. The property is beautifully maintained and offers everything you could want for a relaxing getaway. The view of the lake is stunning, especially at sunrise and sunset, and we love starting each day with coffee in the Florida room. The home itself is cozy, spotless, and stocked with thoughtful touches—from board games to kitchen essentials. The layout is perfect for family gatherings, with spacious common areas and comfortable bedrooms. The private dock is fantastic for swimming, fishing, and kayaking. The owners are incredibly responsive and accommodating, making sure every detail is covered for a seamless stay. We look forward to returning every time we’re in the area—it really feels like a home away from home!

Chipley Lakehouse

Was exactly as advertised. Pictures are accurate. Distance to Panama City was a little longer than anticipated. We drove to PCB twice each day. The lake was just beautiful though, wish we had more time to have fished it, but 3-4 hrs a day on the road to and from PCB takes a lot of the day. No restaurants in Chipley. I recommend this stay, however, it was nice to get away from the chaos of the beach. The neighborhood was very nice and quiet.

Great Lakehouse

Overall, we enjoyed use of the property. The space was big enough for our small family to be in separate areas enjoying different things. We loved the Florida room overlooking the lake! The dock was a hit and my son finally caught his first fish off of it! I used the kitchen for every meal and everything I needed for cooking was there. We truly enjoyed nature in all aspects and didn't turn on the TV once. We had one issue, checking in. I believe it to be a one off and cannot foresee it happening again but our access code did not work the first night and we ended up staying in a hotel since we could not make contact. Don was extremely accommodating to our issue, paying for our loss and even offering an additional night at no cost. Like I told him, we are human and everyone makes mistakes. While frustrating, it did not impact the activities we had planned for our extended weekend. Lastly, it's a bit far out from any stores so if you're used to just hopping in a car and running around the corner for something, you should plan accordingly. But that's a part of getting away, the quiet atmosphere and pure relaxation! Thank you Don and Pam for allowing us to stay in your home. We did our absolute best at ensuring we "left if better than we found it"! This property did not disappoint!

Visiting my son and wife

I rented this very comfortable home to visit my son and wife for 2 weeks. It was very clean and well stocked. They live near by, but this made it more comfortable for all. The home is lovely, and sits on a very calming lake. The neighborhood is very quiet and great for walking. I will definitely return for my next visit. The owners were very attentive and available if needed. It was a great experience.

Well kept house on the lake.

House was excellent. Fishing could be better, but that's not the hosts fault - we'll blame it on the east winds. The house and property were as expected.

My wife grew up in Marianna Florida, I grew up in Southern Ohio in a little town called Middleport.

Pam is a Speech Therapist for a local hospital and I have an Insurance Agency in our small town.

Pam has always wanted to have a home close to the town she grew up in.

We love the beach but we also love the freshwater of a lake.

We chose this home primarily because of the beauty of the lake is and it's location between Marianna and Panama City Beach.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

We have a row boat, canoe and some paddle boards.

But even if you're not a water person or a fisherman, the lake offers you a peaceful surrounding.
