We had a great stay. The home is very beautiful, warm, and cozy. The owners had decorated for Christmas which was an unexpected joy. The property management company and the owners were very responsive and helpful. I recommend this property, its a beautiful home in a beautiful location.

We loved our stay at this beautiful home on the mountaintop. The hot tub, outdoor fireplace and covered porch were wonderful. Our 2 kids loved not only having their own bedrooms, but their own bathrooms as well. Our son said it was the most comfortable bed he's ever slept in. The kitchen, living space and furnishings were beautiful and the rental company was responsive and helpful. It was the perfect size for our family and we feel very lucky to have found this home for our first family trip to Deep Creek. We enjoyed seeing lots of deer and the groundhogs sleeping on rocks in the shade. Great location! We hope to plan another stay next year! Thank you for a wonderful time :)

Beautiful property!

This property is in such a great location right on a golf course. We saw deer every day and walked the golf course on the golf cart path. The house was exceptionally clean. The property firm was so easy to deal with and answered all of our questions. The beds upstairs are a little small for two adults, but the rooms are spacious. My only complaints are that the kitchen had zero spices, not even salt and pepper, and the grill is a charcoal grill. Those two things would not deter us from renting this beautiful property again.

Long Fall weekend family getaway

We had a great time! This property was extremely clean and very well-kept. It had everything we needed. We appreciated the technology screen with all of the necessary info. We also appreciated all of the fall decorations! The location was good for walks exploring adjacent neighborhoods, and close to shopping, coffee, and restaurants. We loved the hot tub but couldn't figure out how to get the outdoor fireplace lit even following the directions. I would only suggest more towels for each bathroom. We will definitely stay again! Thanks for being great hosts!

Family Ski Trip

This is the second time we stayed at Bear on Mountain. We love the house. It works well for our family. We did have a snow storm to contend with for our arrival. The community and driveway were plowed when we arrived. Offlake Rental was very helpful before and after we arrived. They called to make sure we arrived safely and that the drive way was clear. The plow came back the next day to clear an additional spot and push the snow back more. We had no problems on the roads around Deep Creek Lake. The road crews do a really good job clearing/treating the roads.

Delightfully surprised

When searching online for a house for me and my friends to get away for his car show over the weekend this house stood out. Little did we know how nice of a spread we actually wound up with. Everyone had a wonderful time.

Bear On Mountain Property

Bear on Mountain is an AMAZING property! The pictures are nice online but doesn't do the property justice. The owners were quick to respond and reach out with details to make sure we had a great holiday weekend. I would definitely recommend this property and owners to anyone traveling to McHenry MD (Wisp Resort) Area.

Early winter family vacation

The house was perfect for our family. We also brought our dogs for the first time on a vacation. The property was clean and well maintained. It was decorated for Christmas which made it very homey! We loved the hot tub and outdoor fireplace. We had a couple issues with the WiFi and outdoor fireplace when we arrived but both were handled quickly by the owner/property manager. The house is conveniently located near Wisp and the lake. It is next to Lodestone Golf Course(for warmer weather). We would definitely stay here again!

Western Maryland Home on Wisp Mountain

Nice Clean beautiful house with lots of bear items scattered around the house. Was not use to doing all the dishes and packing them away in the house before we left on Sunday morning so this made a quick morning on our day of departure. We did not know it was a gated community with a code to get into the community. We did not get the code to get into the date until we got to the house and there was a note there waiting for us. Thank heavens a neighbor who was passing by gave us the code to get in. Other item is that all trails you must drive to, nothing within walking distance. They did have a beautiful Hot Tub! We would return again!

Bear on Mountain cabin

Wonderful, very nice cabin and very clean. Deck was nice to relax on and hot tub/fire pit area was awesome. Enough back and side yard for corn hole.
