Cabane en rondins sur l'eau (front de mer)

Ceci est un 3 chambres, 1 salle de bain chalet / cabine sur le ruisseau navigable juste à côté de Sawyer Harbour. Juste en bas de la route du parc national Potawatomi et du parcours de golf Idlewild. Cet emplacement est à 10 minutes du centre-ville de Sturgeon Bay. Juste un court trajet en voiture de vignobles et autres amusements de Door County!

Il y a une rampe de mise à l'eau et un port de bateau sur la propriété, alors apportez votre bateau si vous le souhaitez (petits bateaux seulement)! Grande zone de pêche pour le doré, le nord et musqué! Nous avons également 2 kayaks et un canot de 17 'à louer! Notre feu de camp près de la crique permet de passer une bonne nuit de tartes tourmentées et tendres. Notre patio arrière est également idéal pour profiter du coucher de soleil et de la vue impressionnante sur la faune.

Il y a un lit queen, un lit double, quatre lits jumeaux (2 lits superposés) et un canapé-lit. Notre maison peut accueillir jusqu'à 6 adultes et 4 enfants.

Family vacay

This was a great family-friendly place to stay. The location allowed us to be within a pretty close driving distance of the Shrine of our Lady of Champion, several beautiful state parks, cherry picking, etc. Enjoyed renting the kayaks, canoe, and bikes also.

We didn't get to enjoy the kayaks because the water was too low, but that isn't the fault of the guests. Nice quiet place.

Family fun in Door County

We had a nice time exploring Door County from this cabin. It worked great for the family and they had plenty of board games to entertain us several times. The back porch is great for a BBQ and evening meal outside.

Great spot

Quiet well appointed cabin. Nature abounds in the backyard with great deck and fire pit with western views. Sunsets and frogs singing all night. Can’t wait to book it again.

Amazing Location and nice place

This place is on Sawyer Harbor which gives great access to the bay for world class fishing. Rachel was amazing to deal with, even sending me pics to answer specific questions about the property, which was clean and well kept. We will come back for sure.

Great summer getaway

We had a great location for relaxing and enjoying activities in Door County while also having downtime at the cottage. It was remote enough to feel out in the country but close enough to all our events. Special bonus to enjoy Kayaks, canoe, campfires, bikes, and grilling. Highly recommend to others.

Great location although it smelled like mold when we stepped in. It did air out after a day or so. No side effects from my elderly father.

We are very sorry to hear about an off smell at our place. The house is cleaned thoroughly before and after every guest. Additionally, we are a state and local licensed rental property which undergoes routine inspection. We do, however, greatly appreciate your feedback and will use it towards improving the stays of our future guests!

The mass visit

The property was as listed. We had an issue with the TV not working and a text was sent but there was no response. We did not go there to watch TV so it was not a big problem.

peace & quiet

This is a perfect cabin for anyone who enjoys fishing and nature. The pier on the property was perfect for our boat to be docked which made it so much easier to go fishing. We enjoyed peace & quiet and the firepit at night making Smores and counting the stars. The downside of this cabin is that it is poorly maintained and it can get hot. You will need the fans because unfortunately most of the windows do not open or have screens .

My husband and I have spent many hours upkeeping our cabin. From investing in the pier, completely redoing the bathroom, and tiling the kitchen floor to countless hours on landscaping and also this year replaced the patio railing. We are budgeting to replace the windows which will have screens once replaced, but yes, in the meantime we do provide 4 oscillating fans and one box fan for our guests to use. This year we removed a few large trees to improve the view, but that was at the expense of some natural shade and cooling in the cabin.

Great family getaway & amazing location for the outdoor lovers.

We had a super fun family trip (3 kids, 2 parents, and 2 grandparents). The house is right on the water and less than a quarter mile away opens up into the bay. We went kayaking and canoeing from the house. And less than a half mile from the house are some access paths into Potawatomi State Park, where my wife and I went on some beautiful and fun trail runs. We also brought mountain bikes and went for some family bike rides through the park. About a 4 mile bike ride through the park is a fun restaurant with a water view and beach called Waterfront Mary's. Really fun. And only about a 10 minute drive is downtown Sturgeon Bay with lots of restaurants and shops. We also ventured a little further north into Door County for some short day trips to go hiking and swimming in Lake Michigan. The house was just as advertised. Clean and comfortable with plenty of space for us. We spent most of the time outside since the weather was perfect. My son caught 3 frogs and 1 turtle from the house and we also saw several deer. The kids of course loved the bunk beds and the campfires we had in the big firepit by the water. Rachel was extremely responsive, friendly, and informative. We got very lucky to book this only about 2 weeks before the trip and are happy to be the first renters. I guess this won't be a secret anymore! We would love to come back.

Property on stagnant water with green film

The pictures show a prestine home that is older, but very clean and the aerial picture shows a beautiful bay. That is not what we found at this property . We were looking forward to relaxing on beautiful water and kayaking for a few days. What we found was a marshy swamp of water with a greenish film, filled with cattails and the water was not moving at all. If the water is completely stagnant like a marsh, this should have been stated in the description of the property. The water was too gross to even kayak around in. We were shocked given how beautiful the water is around the rest of door country. We ended up leaving the property in the morning and coming back late at night because we didn’t want to be there. In addition the windows, shower and dishes were not clean. When we walked in, we were met with a musty, dusty smell reminiscent of an old folks home. You can see my other reviews online are very positive, so I try to always find the positive in a situation, but given that our experience was so different from the other reviewers, it is only fair to share our experience. I need to mention the notable exception to our experience was that the property does have a great fire pit, which we enjoyed after dark. Property contract was responsive on providing check in information.

Good location

Close to Sturgeon Bay and all of Door County. The house had everything we needed, but a strange layout. Fire pit and view of the wetlands exceptional.

Family vacay success

We wanted a space for our family to stay for a long weekend where we could be together, have easy access to waterfront and hiking, but separate from the hustle and bustle. We were not disappointed and appreciated the available games, outdoor gathering spaces, and amenities.

Peacfully perfect

The quiet, isolated feel of this cozy cabin was perfect for our stay. The availability of kayaks and bicycles is a strong plus. We so enjoyed sunrise/sunset paddling out in the bay as well as biking through the state park into town center amenities. Cabin was cozy and clean with all the amenities and Rachel was a great facilitator/communicator. One suggestion would be screens for the bedroom windows to keep bugs out while enjoying the cool night breezes. Otherwise - FANTASTIC

Celebrated 28 year wedding anniversary. Road the GAP trail. Went on a class 2/3 what water rafting and visited Frank Lloyd Wright home. Everything was perfect. House has plenty of room many amenities and perfect location

A family gateway

Nice and quiet, secluded area with a great firepit that everyone enjoyed. The house could have used a bit more cleaning upon our arrival but it was manageable. 3 separate bedrooms with comfortable beds were a great plus. Overall we have enjoyed our stay there and would come back again.
