Family vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall satisfactory. Check in time was 4pm. Couldn't check in until 5.30pm as house was being cleaned. Ate pizza in cars with 10 grandkids and luggage. They offered our booking fee back for inconvenience ($500) which took 2 reminders to get paid. House was dated but nice and fairly clean. Stupid in 3 inches of water when showering. Took 2 reminders and 2 days until fixed. House was good, not overly impressed with the resort itself.

Great home for large vroups

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, our multi-generational group had a great stay here. The rooms and sleeping areas are as described and pictured. The common areas are large enough to accommodate big groups. The kitchen is adequately stocked to prepare large meals (enough plates, silverware, pots/pans, cooking utensils). There are some things that have not been well maintained for several seasons. While they didn’t interfere with our ability to enjoy the property, it was not a 5 star stay. For example, the grill had not been cleaned in a LONG time so our group spent more time than reasonable making this usable. The outdoor lights and some of the seating is not as pictured.

Beachwalk is a great place to vacation!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great house for our family of 12. Golf cart was so much fun and made it easy to get all around the Beachwalk area. House had plenty of room. Kitchen could use a few more cooking utensil options but we made it work. There are a lot of stairs but that was fine for us.

Great family vacation house

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our extended family has been gathering at Beachwalk for the last several years. This is the first time we have stayed at the Lighthouse. It was a perfect set up with the coach house for our group of 8 adults, 7 children and 1 baby! Several sitting areas and the kitchen had what we needed. The golf cart is always a plus!

Dirty house

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a nice time, and we really enjoyed the golf cart and amenities. The house was really dirty. The floors were filthy, our socks were black after walking in the house. We uncloggged the vacuum because it was not working, obviously for quite some time. The air conditioner was not working properly. The main level was freezing, while the upstairs didn't get cool. Handles, knobs, railings were dirty and sticky and needed to be wiped down. The upholstery was sandy. The arcade game downstairs didn't work. The screened in porch was filthy. The interior was in need a of a good cleaning and a paint job. We would not recommend the house, because it was so dirty, but once we cleaned it up, we had a nice time.😁

Lighthouse Lodge

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family enjoyed our week at Lighthouse Lodge and Dune Light. This was our first trip to Beachwalk. The home is in a good location and the golf cart was really helpful for getting to the pool, beach, etc. In general, the description and pictures shown on the website are accurate. Kitchen was well stocked but could use more leftover containers. The top floor was too hot for anyone to sleep in but there were plenty of beds throughout the houses. There are lots of nice restaurants in Michigan City and surrounding areas. Our main complaint was related to trash/recycling. Our bins were nearly full when we arrived. As instructed, we contacted the office twice but the recycle was never picked up (and was overflowing when we left) and the trash was finally picked up on the designated day. By that time we had trash bags overflowing and surrounding the bins - very unsanitary.
