Spacious, stylish, and made for unforgettable group getaways, Peacock Paradise is a newly renovated home that comfortably sleeps up to 24 guests. Located in the heart of Beachwalk Resort, you’ll have full access to top-tier seasonal amenities including the community pool, toddler pool, private Lake Kai (with paddle boats, kayaks, and stand-up paddleboards), basketball and tennis courts, a fishing pier, and access to the sandy shores of Sheridan Beach on Lake Michigan.

We rented this house for a family weekend away. It was perfect for our needs. This house was clean and well maintained. The owners were updating parts of the house, but were doing so in a way that still felt comfortable for us to stay even though not everything was completed. Everyone in our group was complimentary about the house, both upon arrival and at check out.We have stayed in many VRBO homes and this one was by far the most well equipped for a trip. We had everything we needed for cooking all of our meals in the house. The kitchen was large and recently updated. The open concept kitchen allowed for whoever was in it to still participate in conversations and engage with the rest of the family. The rooms were comfortable and the bathrooms nice (with plenty of toilet paper). Our children particularly enjoyed the basement space to play and watch their own entertainment. The only note we have is that the room in the lowest level (with two bunk beds) felt quite far from the rest of the bedrooms. If you are planning on children sleeping in it, make sure they will be okay sleeping two floors away from most of the other bedrooms. The stairs going down to the basement are very steep. This is not a flaw or complaint, just a heads up.We visited in the winter, after snowfall. The only challenge we had was that the streets/sidewalks were not well cleared, which made for some difficult parking in the designated spots and requiring extra precaution entering.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We filled Peacock Paradise with 17 family members from Chicago area, Ohio, and North Carolina. We had plenty of room as the house had spacious kitchen, living room, finished basement and bedrooms, as well as several porches. It was the perfect location, in the heart of Beachwalk and near the fishing pier. It was not far to the pool and was a 5-10 min walk to Lake Michigan.The property had so many amenities, e.g., a great fire pit, movie room with huge screen, workout area and indoor sauna. The kitchen was large enough for a few people to be doing food prep, cooking, and eating all at the same time and was stocked with everything you could possibly need. The management was very responsive when we called with questions. A few issues we encountered were: the microwave oven needs to be more firmly supported, the left sink faucet in the master bedroom at the front of the house only put out a trickle of water, and the tankless water heaters did not seem adequate for the house. It was often difficult to get hot water, especially in the front master bedroom bath. We staggered our showers throughout the day and evening. Master bath showers especially need grab bars, and bathrooms need more towel rods. Despite these issues, we had a lovely stay in this beautiful home. We all had fun discovering pieces of peacock decor throughout the home. Kids loved fishing, swimming in the heated pool, playing in the sand at Lake Kai and Lake Michigan and using the paddle boat and kayak. We spent a day at the Indiana Dunes State Park and visited the zoo at Washington Park and the Comics Museum. The older adults went to the casino and Lighthouse Outlet Mall. They also toured the Barker Mansion and had a delicious dinner at the Hummingbird Lounge in New Buffalo. We all had a fun and relaxing week at Peacock Paradise and created many memories of our time spent together. We would definitely recommend this property to others.
