Wonderful month in Phoenix
My wife and I had a wonderful month of April in Phoenix. Our stay in the “little Slice of Heaven” was above expectations: clean, main floor unit, great grounds that were perfect for dog walks, and close to Kierland shopping center. The owner even stopped by to help us with some minor checkin help.

Nice stay close to Kierland
The unit itself was a little older and darker (ground floor, North facing) than we like, but it was nice. The Plaza Residence is a very clean, quiet property! The pool area is very relaxing and pretty. The fitness center has a good collection of equipment and weights. The location is great. Walking distance to Kierland Main Street, the Westin Kierland Golf Club, Safeway and more. Thanks for a good stay!

We enjoyed our stay at this property and were given a daily rate on the website. The owner does not prefer to rent the property out unless it is rented out in month long intervals. This should be stated prior to renting.

Disappointing
Very little care has been taken of this property, either by the owner or by the essentially non-existent management. Beds were OK, bathrooms were clean, but the floors were absolutely filthy. Blinds and fan pulls were broken, a sink stopper was stuck, lights were burned out, the icemaker was broken, and the coffee maker was so clogged that it took 45 minutes to brew a pot! We were able to communicate with the owner, who did schedule some maintenance for us, but other problems we fixed on our own. The condo was poorly stocked--no Kleenex or hair dryer in the smaller bathroom, no detergent, no foil or saran wrap, no kitchen towels or wash cloths, very few coffee cups. Luckily, we checked into the condo with a code, as we never saw anyone actually in the management office. The pools are nice, but we never received the "required" pool passes, sanitizing wipes for the pool chairs were usually too dried out to be of any use, and when we found cockroaches in the kitchen, management told us we had to wait and have the owner deal with the problem! The condo across from this one looks straight through into one of our bedrooms, so blinds need to be at least partially drawn. The interior is dark anyway, as no sunlight reaches the living quarters and lighting is very dim--difficult to find a place to read. There are more businesses in the area around the condo than there are homes, so there are quite a few restaurants within walking distance, which is nice, including several in the Kierland shopping area. We were happy to have a place to stay for a month, but next time we will stay elsewhere.

There were red flags about this tenant early on. The tenant’s guest called to reduce the stay under the minimum and asking partial refund. Within 5 minutes of the tenant’s group arrival, we received a call from the guest there were no Saran wrap (we had nesting plastic storage containers), foil sheets (there was a roll), Kleenex in a bathroom (there were new Kleenex boxes in the unit), only a few Tide pods (the detergent was not for the entire stay) and that a light bulb was burnt out (box of new LED lights in the unit). The guest demanded a partial refund. 5 minutes later we received a second call, advising that the floor was “filthy.” We noted that the floor had been swept, moped and disinfected the day before and offered to have a nearby cleaning crew come by to take a look, the guest advised that they already cleaned the floor (10 minutes after their arrival!) and the cleaning crew would not be necessary but wanted a refund. The listed tenant called the next day that one of the slats on the vertical blinds was broken and that the fan pulls were too short for her to pull. We contacted our blind repairman and ordered fan pull extensions via Amazon. We sent the tenant the pictures showing no damage to the blinds, the normal fan pulls and the operative light before they got there. We received an email a week later saying the tenant could not speak for even a few minutes to schedule the repairman or get pool passes and that all further communication should be with the guest. We have a strong belief that the tenant was not at the unit and/or that the tenant left for a significant period. Just before the end of the stay, the guest called to complain about 2 tiny bugs in the unit with a refund request (pattern?). We explained the exterior of the complex unit was regularly exterminated and we never had bugs in the unit. Without comment about discovery of juvenile bugs 4 weeks into their stay, a exterminator schdeduled with the guest but the guest was not there and we were charged for a no show. We were never advised of the lack of dish (4) or wash (12) towels, coffee cups (10) and hairdryers (2), the unit had plenty of them before and after their stay. We were never advised of a stuck sink stopper or any issue with the coffee maker whose carafe and reservoir were cleaned by the cleaning crew. The unit is well lit by sunshine and lights so reading should be no issue. Needless to say, we will never rent to this tenant or her guests again.

Perfect Condo in the Perfect Location
This is a very nice, ground floor property - super convenient for a dog owner! We had lovely walks around the beautiful grounds of the complex, and it felt really safe, even at night. The condo was clean and well stocked. The furniture and beds were comfy. There were large tvs in the living room and both bedrooms, and there were quality, clean small appliances in the kitchen. (I like a good toaster!) The Kierland location is perfect for me, very central to great shopping and restaurants. I’ve already booked this property again for next year, for twice as long.

Great condo in the perfect location.
This condo was clean, very comfortable and in the perfect location to walk to Kierland and Scottsdale Quarter. We had our dog with us and there were so many options for walks around the neighborhood. Pool was great too.

Prime Location
My wife and I spent 2 wonderful months in this condo. Great location near the Kierland Commons and the Scottsdale Quarter. The unit was beautifully decorated and was complete will everything needed. Ground floor accessibility was a plus; no stairs to climb. We frequently used the pool and gym and there are plenty of parks nearby for recreational activities. If you looking to spend time in Scottsdale, this is a great place to stay.

Lovely Scottsdale condo
I rented this 2BR, 2 BA condo in the heart of Scottsdale for a month and loved it. So immaculate, comfy bed, washer -dryer, easy check-in and plenty of towels and linens and kitchen supplies. The condo complex was beautifully landscaped and had two pools that were worthy of a resort. I had covered parking, and the location was close to wonderful restaurants and shopping. I felt very safe walking my dog at night in this gated community. Would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Beautiful, clean, spacious and a calming place...
This ground floor condo is a beautiful, clean, spacious and a calming place. It cam fully stocked with everything we could even need (we definitely disagree with the guest just before us). It definitely had the feel of a five-star resort. The condo is literally within walking distance to the very high-end Kierland Commons and Scottsdale Quarter with the lovely restaurants, shopping, entertainment and best lounges in north Scottsdale. The twin pools, spay and gym were perfect. The private theatre had not reopened after the pandemic but we are hopeful it will be when we return. The whole place made us fell at ease. Arthur and Mina were very nice, easy to talk to and very friendly. We will definitely come again!

We were surprised to receive a review as we had very little communication with Carol & Lance. They were from Canada and apparently took their phones but turned them off as they did not purchase local SIM cards, so it took weeks to receive responses to our messages and voicemails. They arrived and complained that the patio had left leaves from a wind storm. When they finally did respond to our reply, we had our housekeepers come by and clean the patio again, only for it to get more leaves the next day. We sent all new linens, as we do every year, and they complained that there were too many linens in our linen closet, so we let them throw away the ones they did not like. About a month short of their full stay, they sent a message that they had returned back to Canada early because they were homesick. They did not leave a written review, so it is hard to know why the unit received three stars, as they indicated that they enjoyed their time and were happy with us as hosts.
