Have had the best week away in the villa. Everything from start to finish was great. Communication with anthony was excellent. Lovely location of villa. Everything in walking distance of bars and restaurants. Looking on to the back of the golf course was great as well. Would stay again and highly recommend.even being close to the planes you do not realise there are flying over and is very quiet inside

The villa was nice, clean, well located and had great views. The pool was nice and warm even though the weather was really windy at times. The owner was very friendly and responded quickly to messages. All in all a great place for a golfing holiday with the guys!

Fantastic location and Villa

We’ve stayed in Golf Del Sur many times and this has been the best villa yet by far. Very spacious with everything we needed. The pool is heated and perfect for cooling off. Bars/restaurants/shops all within walking distance. So good we’re planning to rebook!

Lovely location

We all enjoyed looking at the planes overhead and walking down to the local restaurants in the evenings.Good property but the property listing did not state that one of the bathrooms was en-suite which made it trickier as we were two families.

After a delayed flight, check in was easy and Anthony responded promptly to any queries we had, ensuring a couple of small repairs were completed quickly. The villa is spacious and clean but did lack a little bit of love- we thought that just a few things updated would have made such a difference to the overall appearance and provide a better quality experience. Pretty much most of the basics were there except a few things but they were easily bought (e.g pegs- we couldn’t see any but left a pack that we bought, it’s too windy to put washing out without them!) The garden area could have benefited from some general maintenance, cutting back some of the flowering bushes would give you much more space, and allow you to see the lizards even better! It would also help with minimising the amount of dead foliage and flowers blowing into the pool constantly. The owner mentioned that the parasol has been replaced many times, it was far too windy to have it up most of the time anyway but perhaps a basic gazebo/covered veranda over the table area would resolve this and be more efficient and cost effective too. Location was good, 10 minutes walk to a few bars and restaurants and a good supermarket at the bottom of the golf course opposite Hole 19 bar. A special mention for the pool guy who was friendly, frequent and very thorough- he was great! Overall, a good villa but could easily be a great villa with just a few cosmetic upgrades. Thank you again Anthony.

A good villa in a great location

The villa was spacious and suited our party of five mountain bikers very well as there was room to store our bikes inside and the pool was very welcome after a ride. The outside area had plenty of space and we enjoyed a BBQ by the pool. There are bars, cafes and supermarkets within a few minutes walk.

Family holiday

This was a long awaited for family holiday of a lifetime. We had an amazing time and made our own fun, however the villa does need updating - urgently. Although we had everything that we needed, it wasn't clear that the location is directly underneath the "flight path" and the planes are quite loud, nor would we receive unwanted stray golf balls from golfers, which landed on sunbeds and pool. This Villa should not be rated as 4 star on your website.

Villa in Amarilla Golf from Feb 2 to March 2 2023

We stayed for 4 weeks in the villa. The area seemed very quiet at first but we soon learned that the shops, restaurants and bus stops were only about 10 to 15 minutes walk away. The villa was spacious and well equipped with a beautiful view across the golf course to the sea. There was an issue with the pool mechanism, but we were impressed with the speedy efforts of the owner to rectify this from France. The villa could do with a little TLC, but we wouldn't hesitate to go back at some time in the future.

Thank you for submitting a review Barrie. Always important to get feedback good or bad. I’m sorry you felt the villa wasn’t up to the standards you were expecting. The bathroom window had a broken hinge whilst you were there and has since been repaired. As you say the villa is in a great position and we are constantly updating it. I do hope we can welcome you again with some further improvements.

Nice Villa

A very nice Villa, plenty of room, comfortable seating, very good Television, kitchen well equipped, plenty of hot water for showers etc, outside again sun beds & table & chairs all there, Pool heated by Solar panels that don't seem to be that good temp of water while we where there 18-20 degree's at best-so quite chilly but ok when you got used to it, we paid extra for cleaning & change of linen, quality of sheets & towels ok. there are a few steep steps at the entrance that could give someone with walking problems a problem, but a nice villa that we will be looking at for next year, thank you Anthony for your help

Dear John, just a quick note to thank you for choosing to stay at the villa. I’m delighted it all went well and that you had a great holiday. I’m sorry the pool was not as warm as usual. It’s important to keep the cover on when not in use and especially at night which generally keeps it warm. I do hope you will indeed consider revisiting as it would be a real pleasure to host you once again. Best, Anthony

Unfortunately this villa leaves a lot to be desired. It is adequate. No aircon in one bedroom so could not be used. Broken and well worn furniture throughout . Pool could not be used for first 3 days as badly discoloured and cloudy which stained swimwear and inflatables. Query - dangerous to use? Black mold in bathrooms. Broken tiles inside and out and around pool. States linen change if stay of 10 days or more. Had to request this as host says brochure out of date. Linen old and discoloured. Pillows badly stained. Some with no protector. Cooker hood lose and hanging. Fridge/freezer door hung wrong way round so difficult to open. Draw handles missing. Aircon dirty. Lightshades broken or missing. Sun loungers filthy. Plaster falling off walls inside and out. Skirting boards broken and damaged. Villa needs a complete overhaul and significant amount of money spent to bring it up to rental quality. Host is friendly and approachable but needs to attend to these problems as according to reviews, guests have been making the same complaints since 2021.

Reasonable value but in need of some attention...

The villa is spacious and clean with a good kitchen area and good air con in three of the bedrooms, but the fourth bedroom gets uncomfortably warm in hot weather. The outside has a pleasant outlook, but the pool is quite small and not very deep. The solar heating is not ideal, it’s cold when there’s no sun and gets too hot when the weather heats up. Also there’s no effective shade during the hottest part of the day. Compared to other rentals in the area it was reasonable value but does need some basic maintenance.

Excellent stay

Excellent stay at Anthony's villa, communication was spot on from booking to leaving for home. The villa has everything you need for a restful holiday, the security shutters gave us great piece of mind, our party consisted of four adults and two children, there was plenty of room for everyone ,nice pool sometimes it was like getting into a warm bath, aircon was very welcome as well. The villa is 10/15 minutes walk down the hill were you will find a bar(wildgeese irish bar)does good food and cheap drinks .If you go down the hill facing the pub,you will find more restaurants. The main square is called San Blas(12 euros return for 6 passengers),hire of a car is recommended although we ordered an home delivery from the Mercadona supermarket (you can do a pre order on their app before you go out and then get a next day delivery when you get to the villa). The villa is overlooking a golf course and has a great view of the sea.,the course nearest to the villa is a 9 hole pitch and put 20euros each for has long has you want great fun even if you are a golf novice. All in all we had a great time at the villa,we would definitely go back.

Great place and a great stay.

On arriving we were pleased with what we found. A great villa in a great location with great views. The villa contained all that you could want and likely more. We initially had plans to do lots of things but ended up not going far as being at the villa was perfect. Yes it’s near the airport but we all can honestly say the aircraft never caused any issues and being close was actually a bonus as no long travel time on arrival or heading back to airport. We hire cars when ever we visit Tenerife and I’d suggest one at this villa is worth it. That said the like super market very close by and walkable was perfect for most things and we did not notice a massive mark up on costs. A near by Aldi was our main shop but that did need the car. We have not visited Tenerife and this area for about 7 years and found it just as nice if not better in many ways. Lots of nice / cheap places to eat within 15-20 walk, some sea facing and some in a little complex over at Golf de Sur. Really nice vibe in the whole area. Especially around villa. It felt safe and was very relaxing and peaceful (even with odd plane). Never heard the neighbours at all. The only sounds on many s day was the odd ping of a golfer hitting his ball from the course behind the villa sometimes followed by ‘four’ but nothing to bother us. Having the course behind the villa was one of the many nice things about the stay. We do hope to return and I see no reason why we won’t be looking at another stay here if it was available.
