Our host was very welcoming and provided quick responses to our questions. The cabin was beautiful and clean. Lots of extras like movies and games. We were lucky enough to see a family of deers which was a lovely bonus! We will definitely be staying here again!

The cabin exceeded our expectations. It was extremely spacious and in a very quiet area. We enjoyed the hot tub! The drive up the street is a bit scary but manageable. We will definitely be staying again!

The location was perfect, close to town but quiet. We enjoyed the 3 king size beds, large TV and especially the hot tub with ambiance lighting. The cabin had several broken tiles and non-functioning pocket door in main bedroom (why 4/5 stars)

Beat the Heat in comfort!

We needed to escape the heat but needed something fairly close to where we live. Ruidoso never disappoints and the accommodations were excellent! The cabin was nicely appointed and all our basic needs were met. We loved the lighted deck and hot tub and started and ended our days out there. It will be a place that we will return to on a yearly basis.

Cozy Cabin

Our 3 night was nice. Jacuzzi worked great. Fits 3 adults comfortably. Only complaint, small one, dog hair on main bedroom comforter.. but it didn’t ruin our stay. Cabin fully stocked and everything works great.

Quiet and cozy

Just the right amount of "off the beaten track". Did not try the hot tub but it was inviting. Comfortable beds. Must say that the addition of blackout curtains would be welcome. Though we did find some food and grease on one of the glass pie pans it was no problem as we usually wash all the utensils, plates and glasses that we plan to use. All in all, it was a pleasant stay and should we find ourselves in Ruidoso again we will plan on staying in the same cabin.

Cabin getaway

The cabin was clean, comfortable, and cozy. We had plenty of room for 4, and the hot tub was an after dark fun nightcap. I would suggest for guests to bring a sweater and an umbrella for unforeseen weather changes throughout the day. The shopping strip was a big hit for our family, everyone we met was nice and friendly, and our pet was welcomed.

You need 4x4 and chains for winter weather

We enjoyed our stay, the house met our basic needs and we enjoyed the quiet area. The hot tub is a nice addition but it’s on the front porch which is a little strange. However the neighborhood is quiet so it didn’t bother us. My only complaint was that we only had one towel per person for our whole stay so we had to do laundry everyday. And the kitchen although it was mostly stocked it failed to have pot holders. And please note that when they say you need 4x4 drive and snow chains in icy conditions believe it! It’s a very steep driveway, luckily we had no ice or snow.

Convenient, roomy cabin

Cabin is large, but cozy. Conveniently located, close to downtown shopping, grocery store around the corner. Saw deer on property as soon as we arrived. 4x4 recommended in snowy weather. Washer/Dryer were definitely a plus after snow tubing/skiing.

We had a great time! We needed a change of scenery after being in lockdown all these months due to the pandemic. This was our first time renting a cabin and we can say we are hooked! We had everything we needed to recharge and relax safely. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub, and the board games. (Monopoly and Uno for the win.) We enjoyed a visit from some local wildlife right outside the backdoor. At night we had a wonderful view of the stars we’re unable to get in the city. Overall, we’re very pleased with experience. Angie was very helpful in assisting us when we were unable to unlock the digital thermostat on the property. She was prompt in returning phone calls and proactive in giving us updates and possible solutions while the issue was resolved.

Great experience overall at Hilltop Cabin. The cabin had everything we needed to be absolutely comfortable, was close to everything, and the hot tub was the icing on the cake every night. Very easy process. .

Cozy cabin and the kids love the hot tub. And it has A/C. Will stay there again next time. Jeremy and the lady are friendly and helpful when I switched property and added another night to stay.
