La maison du lac au Picture Rock Ranch

Le Lake House de Picture Rock Ranch est situé dans le magnifique Torrey Valley Canyon, à 19 km de la ville de Dubois. La cabane historique entièrement reconstruite comprend deux chambres avec vue sur le lac Tail, une et 1/2 salles de bain, une cuisine entièrement équipée, un lave-linge, un porche en façade, un poêle à bois et un autocar à coulisse pouvant accueillir jusqu'à six personnes.

Profitez de la sérénité de l’eau à votre porte et de la beauté du glacier Ross Lake dans votre cour arrière. Prenez votre café du matin sur le quai et regardez le lever du soleil. Passez du temps à pagayer sur le lac en canoë ou en kayak, ou tentez votre chance à tromper une truite avec une pêche à la mouche de classe mondiale dans le lac ou sur le ruisseau Torrey qui traverse la propriété. Faites une courte randonnée jusqu'aux pétroglyphes indiens (anciennes sculptures rupestres indiennes) dans la propriété et dans le canyon, ou parcourez les nombreux sentiers qui entourent la Lake House. Un feu de camp et des smores pourraient bien finir votre journée.

We had a very relaxing time at the lake house. The lake is beautiful with plenty of wildlife around. We had a bald eagle in a tree about 50 yards away and got to see it fly low across the lake looking for fish. We also saw lots of deer and rabbits. The host was great and was ready to help if we needed anything. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay with my kids and dogs. The location is beautiful with plenty to do right on the private dock like fishing and playing in the sand. The highlight for my family was taking the canoes up river and spotting lots of wildlife and taking in the scenery. Thank you for the wonderful vacation!

Host Jerry was very nice, communicated well, he was a busy man on our visit but he made time to come down and personally greet us. Cabin is right on lake and view from bedroom was best of lake, Tree was blocking from living room. We came from 100 plus degree weather to sudden change to 50 degrees and less. His heaters work great. Only thing I would say for future guest is to let them know it is not really handicap accessible, I had wanted to bring my sister along (glad she said she couldn't) the only bathing option at cabin is a soaker tub with shower and she would never had been able to get in it. Otherwise the place is great.

We enjoyed our week at the Lake House. It was very peaceful. The kids had a blast kayaking, canoeing, and splashing around near the shore. Our two dogs also enjoyed there time running along the shoreline and venturing out into the water.

Perfect vacation

We wanted to relax and unplug and we did just that, thanks to the lakehouse. We fished, kayaked, hiked, explored Dubois and enjoyed every minute of the cabin, location, weather, people, and amazing views. This was our favorite vacation, and we've traveled, and we will be back as often as we can.

A Fabulous Retreat!

We had a great time at the Lake house. Jerry was a welcoming host and the cabin is just as it appears in the pictures. Our stay was the perfect combination of activity and relaxation. We paddled around the lake, took a short hike, put together a puzzle in the screened in porch, explored the town of Dubois. There is as much (or as little!) to do as anyone would like. We're already thinking about a return visit.

Quiet oasis

Property owner was great at communication and super friendly. The cabin is set in a quiet, beautiful oasis on a lake. Our family enjoyed every minute. Fishing, kayaking and hiking trails were all easily accessible and enjoyed all week long!

Perfect Getaway

perfect secluded cabin with Gorgeous view of the lake, our Dogs loved it, We loved the town of Dubois and it was just a short car ride to the Tetons, Jerry was very friendly and helped us with anything we needed, living room furniture was a little uncomfortable but we made do, All in All was a great vacation , especially the canoeing on the lake

This was the perfect place for our family vacation! We loved being surrounded by nature and having all the fun activities to do. Being right on the lake allowed for us to fish, kayak, and relax on the shore. We were a short drive to the trailhead which allowed for quick access to the beautiful mountains. There were plenty of ORV trails and roads for us to explore as well. The Lake House was a perfect “home away from home.” We loved the personal touch of our home-state flag that greeted us upon arrival.

Our Honeymoon

We chose the cabin for our honeymoon and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The cabin provides a unique sense of peace but also opportunity for adventure. This place is truly a unique find and every bit of 5 stars.

Hidden gem!

The property was even better than we imagined! We loved the lake and river - it was super easy to just jump in a kayak and enjoy. The kids loved to play on the mini-beach. Quite, unique and unforgettable hidden gem!

Adventure at your door!

We stayed here because of the remote and unique location. We wanted to photograph wildlife and wild places and this location was key. We love the area and all there is to discover in the Dubois west. Our hosts were excellent and the cabin perfect for our needs.

The Lakehouse is a beautiful and peaceful place to visit. This was our second time staying here and Jerry is always friendly and accommodating, we love the lake for canoeing, fishing and the breathtaking views. We are animal lovers so we especially enjoy Jerrys horses and dogs on property. We bring our dogs and they love playing with Jerrys dogs on the lake. The worst part about this place is packing up and leaving. We look forward to the next time we can make it here again.

My name is Jerry Falco and I am the owner of the Lakehouse at Picture Rock Ranch. My wife Kate, son Kurt and I live on the property. We have two adult daughters that come back to the Ranch often to visit and enjoy the area. We have been coming to the Dubois area for vacations for over 30 years and decided to make this property our permanent residence in 2016.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

We purchased Picture Rock Ranch after a 3 year search. We met the owners, shared coffee and purchased the property on a handshake. We immediately knew that this property was perfect for our lifestyles. The property has 4 houses on it. The main house where we live, the guest house for our friends and adult children to stay, the Beck House where our caretakers live and the Lakehouse which is listed on VRBO for the summer months only. Our horses enjoy the corral and paddock areas and we love riding into the mountains surrounding the property.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

The Torrey Valley in which we live is one of the most beautiful locations in the Dubois area. We wake up in the morning to the sun coming up over Trail Lake and the Absaroka Mountains and watch it go down over Ross Lake Glacier. Our visitors constantly ask us if we ever tire of the view - we do not! The Ranch also provides the perfect location for horseback riding, fishing, hiking and enjoying the wilderness area surrounds us.
