Circe et Hare Log Cabin dans le Vermont

À l'intérieur de cette cabane en rondins traditionnelle, vous trouverez des commodités modernes au charme rustique. Une grande cheminée en pierre est installée au milieu du salon, dominant les escaliers en bois jusqu'au deuxième étage. Le salon / coin lecture offre une vue sur la cheminée. La maison bénéficie d'un plan d'étage ouvert et confortable. La cuisine / salle à manger s'ouvre sur la terrasse naturelle donnant sur la colline / la rivière et les vues lointaines des sommets des montagnes. La salle de bain accueille des installations de laveuse / sécheuse mises à jour et est située au premier étage. Le deuxième étage comprend 3 chambres. Ouvrez les portes coulissantes de la grange en haut des escaliers dans la chambre principale romantique, avec des fenêtres en verre anciennes donnant sur le rez-de-chaussée et la cheminée. Un grand lit luxueux offre une vue à travers la porte sur un balcon donnant sur la cour / montagnes lointaines. Rien de tel qu'un ciel étoilé du Vermont vu du balcon de votre chambre! Un grand dressing se trouve en haut des escaliers - des draps et des couvertures supplémentaires sont trouvés ici, ainsi que beaucoup d'espace de stockage pour les bagages et les vêtements suspendus. Les autres chambres confortables sont situées de l'autre côté du couloir, l'une avec une tête de lit en bois brut et une commode antique pour le rangement, et l'autre, avec un revêtement de cabane en rondins, une chaise berçante et un placard.

We had an amazing stay at Circe & Hare Lodge! The home had all the amenities you could ask for and was incredibly comfortable throughout our visit. We especially enjoyed relaxing in the jacuzzi and spending time on the beautiful property.The hosts were wonderful and welcoming, responsive, and thoughtful. We also really appreciated the local recommendations, which made our trip even more special.We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

Our stay was absolutely excellent from start to finish. The cabin is beautiful, peaceful, and perfectly curated, with the charm of a classic Vermont log cabin combined with all the modern amenities you could want. Everything was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully prepared, making it feel more like a private luxury retreat than a typical rental.The setting itself is stunning, quiet, and incredibly relaxing. The views, surrounding woods, and peaceful atmosphere made it easy to completely unwind. Check-in was smooth and easy, the listing was completely accurate, and communication with the host was excellent throughout our stay. You can truly tell the owners care deeply about the property and the guest experience.Even our two German Shepherds, Scarlett and Major, absolutely loved their stay. They had the time of their lives running around the property, exploring the outdoors, and enjoying all the open space. It was wonderful finding a place that felt so welcoming and comfortable for both us and our dogs.This cabin was cozy, romantic, private, and unforgettable. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful Vermont getaway with beautiful scenery and modern comforts. Humanity keeps building little wooden boxes in the woods pretending they’re “escaping it all,” but this one actually pulls it off.

A beautiful property that exceeds expectations from the listing. Leslie and Matt were the most welcoming, communicative hosts. You can feel the love they have for their home and VT. It was an amazing stay and we hope to be back soon.

Lovely little get away!

This beautiful property allowed us to unwind and relax on our 29th wedding anniversary. The front porch bed became my morning oasis! So enjoyed cooking in the kitchen and found the property had all we needed! The area is beautiful and we found plenty of places to hike. I think we visited every general store!

Great place to relax and unwind

I loved the porch bed, we even took several naps there. It was very cozy and the pillows and blankets were a nice touch. The guft basket was a wonderful surprise filled with Vermont products. Our dog loved the yard and the stream.

Magical

Leslie and Matt’s place is what you picture when you think of a magical cabin in the woods. They’ve thought of every detail that makes the place both comfortable and luxurious. My only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer!!

Found what we were looking for….

Our family came up north for one last summer trip of the year and it was everything we hoped for. Peaceful, mountain vibes. Hummingbirds, rivers, streams. Close to amazing hikes and adventures for the whole family. Leslie made sure we had everything we needed and communication was A+. Would absolutely recommend this quaint cozy getaway.

Sanctuary in the forest...

The Circe and Hare Lodge exceeded our expectations in every way. Leslie and Matt are phenomenal hosts, and they have created a truly inspiring space that feels perfectly in tune with the beautiful nature that surrounds it. We fell in love with the craftsmanship, design elements, and attention to detail throughout. This is the kind of place where one would welcome being snowed in all winter. Pure magic.

Cozy cabin weekend retreat

My husband and parents enjoyed a lovely post-Thanksgiving weekend at the Circe and Hare Log Cabin! The cabin was exactly as pictured, well-appointed, and super cozy. Leslie and Matt had thought of everything from a well-equipped kitchen for cooking meals, plenty of firewood to create cozy evening fires, to really comfy robes for lounging! Communication with hosts was quick and responsive, check-in/out was easy, and my family found the detailed information book really helpful and clear -- which was much appreciated. We look forward to staying at the Circe and Hare again. Thank you Leslie and Matt!

Circe & Hare Lodge is one of those rare places that truly stays with you. If you’re between here and somewhere else—stay here. You won’t regret it.From the moment we arrived, it was clear this home is something special—exactly as described, yet somehow even better than the photos Every detail has been thoughtfully considered (even down to the cutlery!) The space was spotless yet deeply warm and cozy. We slept incredibly well—the sheets are luxurious—and I especially appreciated the use of natural, non-overpowering laundry products. The linens were plush, fresh, and clean without that artificial scent (a small detail that made a big difference).The entire experience felt intentional—from the design to the handmade touches, tea blends, and the beautifully curated story of the home in book form! Reading about the property’s transformation by the fire added such a meaningful layer.Leslie was a superb host—responsive, kind, and genuinely invested in making our stay perfect. From recommendations to even lending us snowshoes, everything felt easy and welcoming.The property is peaceful, grounding, and incredibly comfortable—whether inside or down by the river. It invites you to slow down and just be.If you’re considering booking, don’t hesitate. I’d recommend checking out their social presence as well for a deeper feel of the magic 🦋We left feeling restored and inspired—and already planning our return!! Peak experience at peak foilage

What a great find! The owners have shown a terrific attention to detail and have really focused on making this cabin a special getaway experience. From really nice welcome goodies to a binder full of hikes and towns to explore to a wonderful firepit to celebrate fall evenings, they have put a lot of care into every corner of the cabin and property! Don't miss the Barr Hill easy hike. We also enjoyed the much harder Lake Willoughby hikes, the bike trail, and exploring Greensboro (including a concert in their really nice arts center). Note: don't believe your GPS if it tells you to turn right out of the driveway to get to towns like Burke- it soon becomes a logging road that cars cannot negotiate and come out in one piece!!!

Winter Wonderland and More

This beautiful cabin has it all! The big fireplace provided the magic that is needed for a snowy getaway, as well as the very large windows that provided a gorgeous view of the perimeter of the property surrounded by trees. The hot tub was a wonderful addition, as it added a relaxing experience to watch the snow fall while soaking in a big hot tub on this very private property.The hosts provided many extra amenities such as organic coffee, tea, seasoned firewood, heated floors in the bathroom, a gift basket of quality snacks, etc. There were big warm blankets everywhere, space heaters, fans, and a fully equipped kitchen.The cabin was easy to get to and the roads and driveway were well plowed for ease of needing to come and go. We even went snowshoeing around their property. The host communication was outstanding when we had a question or needed something. We felt very cared for and will return to this lovely winter sanctuary soon.

City Escape

The owners of this cabin added so many thoughtful touches such as fresh flowers, a guest basket, fresh eggs from their chickens in the fridge, bathrobes, etc. We were joking that they must watch Vacation House Rules on HGTV b/c they have thought of everything the show suggests to make for an amazing guest experience. It was so nice to escape the city for a few days and enjoy the tranquility of this area. I don’t think our dog wanted to leave rural living! He barks at every noise at home….he did not make a peep while we were there. The whole experience……communication, check in/out, cleanliness, etc was perfect from start to finish.

Perfect Getaway!

Everything about this property is ideal. Great location, quiet and tranquil with a trail to a small stream at the base of the property. Wonderful outdoor and indoor space and intriguing decor. Love the Jackalope! Will definitely be back!

Beautiful and Refreshingly Relaxing

Our temporary home was super posh and neatly kept. Felt very cozy and relaxing with fluffy pillows and blankets everywhere. Honestly, you could fall asleep in any room. Aside from good sleep- the kitchen was plentiful with ingredients and an array of fine dishes and cookware. My family agreed that the house is more spacious than it looks in pictures. Our dogs loved it too! It was so awesome that they were allowed to join us. We loved the fact that there are lights on every side of the house so we never felt unsafe at night bringing the pups out for a potty break. There is a stream downhill that made a perfect walking trail. Our experience at the house was ridiculously homey, restful and “vermonty”. As well as the owners- super nice folks with great communication for any questions and/or suggestions for restaurants, shops, or even about things around the house. Would 100% recommend booking here!

Enjoyed our stay at this cosy house!

We were there during a cold, snowy VT winter week, but the owners have thought of everything to make this a comfortable stay. The kitchen was outfitted with everything we could have wanted to cook meals. Our 2 adult sons joined us for a few days (extra cost per person/per night) and there was plenty of comfortable seating for all even though the house isn't large. It was a 20-25 min drive to Craftsbury Ski Center where we skied everyday. The Highland Center also has trails and is a 15 min. drive. We would stay here again!
