Views of and Direct Access to Lake Rescue. 3 BR + Loft with 2.5 Baths. 4 min to Okemo.

Newly renovated home perfect for up to 8 people. We've had as many as 13 but certainly not ideal. Three bedrooms plus a loft that can sleep 4 and is perfect for the kids. We have 2 and a half baths, living room, family room, dining room, mudroom, and a nicely appointed kitchen. Located just 4 miles from the Jackson Gore Okemo entrance and 5 miles from the Main Entrance at Okemo Mountain. Our home is directly across from Lake Rescue with a deeded right of way down to the lake. We have beautiful views of the lake from the house and yard. The wraparound deck offers views of the lake as well as a dining table with a lighted umbrella. A gas grill is provided. We also have a small covered patio accessible via French doors from the lower level so you can relax and enjoy looking at the lake during inclement weather.

Our home has many nice features including radiant heat on the main floor and lower level. If you aren’t familiar with radiant heat, it is a network of pipes running through the floors which use hot water to heat the floor. No cold feet on our stone, tile or hardwood floors. We also have a pellet stove to jump start the heat when you arrive, and it provides a nice natural flame with very little work and no firewood to deal with. We have an AC window unit in the upper level loft and have recently added a standup AC unit in the living room. The family room in the lower level includes a ping pong table and electronic dartboard for entertainment. Smart TVs in the Living Room, Family Room, and loft all have basic cable along with apps like Netflix, Amazon, etc. For outdoor fun you will find 5 kayaks, a firepit, and a cornhole set. A short float or a walk will bring you to Red Bridge Falls or what has affectionately been called “The Redneck Riviera.” This dam is a great place to relax and play in the water.
Okemo mountain and Lake Rescue aside, there are tons of other local attractions and activities to enjoy in the area. The following is a list of some of our favorites:

-Killington Skyeship Base Lodge – 14 miles

PARKING – We have room for at least 3 cars and a boat or snowmobile trailer could fit too. Our property manager plows after each snow fall and is close by if you need anything or have any questions.

CONVENIENCE- the Town of Ludlow is less than 10 minutes from the house where you will find Shaw's Supermarket, Rite Aid, gas stations and many restaurants and shopping.

WHAT YOU DON’T NEED TO BRING - Our kitchen is fully stocked and is equipped with a full size fridge, stove, microwave, toaster oven, french press, combo coffee maker to make a full pot or K cups, pots, pans, dishes, bakeware and all staples you would find at home. Our guest consistently tell us this is the most comprehensively stocked kitchen in any rental they've ever been in. Kitchen, bath, and beach towels are provided along with linens, blankets and pillows.

FEES - Housekeeping fee is $175.00 regardless of length of stay for up to 8 people.

PETS - WE DO NOT ALLOW PETS DUE TO SEVERE ALLERGIES OF OWNER. SORRY, SERVICE ANIMALS PRESENT THE SAME HEALTH HAZARDS TO ME AS PETS.

SECURITY DEPOSIT - Standard refundable security deposit of $500.00 required for all bookings.

SNOWMOBILING - The Okemo State Forest VAST trail is across the lake from us at the top of Red Bridge Road.

ARRIVAL – You will access the home with a code at the mudroom door. Flexible arrival and departure times are permitted by owner when possible. Safe travels.

THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW – We want all of our guests to have an enjoyable experience. While we absolutely cherish our time at our VT home, we know it isn’t perfect and feel you should know a few things before you book. Our property is on the Rt. 100 side of the lake. This is considered by many to be the most scenic road in the state of VT. It's also super convenient and puts you in the Jackson Gore parking lot in 4 minutes! The upper floor of our house is known as hobbit land. No there aren’t any furry creatures, but the ceilings are low, see pictures. This floor contains a bedroom, half bath, and the loft. Still great for the kids but taller adults need to be aware. I could see it getting old if you lived there but most guests think it's a great space and the lake views from the bedroom up there are spectacular!

All bookings are online secured with a signed Rental Contract and full Payment. We do not collect service fees. Any fees charged are payable to VRBO and HomeAway. Please read all HOUSE RULES and our RENTAL CONTRACT for additional information including all of OUR CANCELLATION POLICIES.
