Splatt Barn a été entièrement rénové récemment pour faire de cette belle maison de campagne d'une escapade de luxe avec tout le confort moderne. Situé à la périphérie du village de Porlock, Splatt Barn offre une vue imprenable sur les marais à Porlock Bay et est seulement une promenade facile dans Porlock avec des pubs, restaurants, boutiques et salons de thé. Le chalet peut accueillir jusqu'à 4 personnes dans deux chambres; un lit king-size et un lit double.

The interior of the cottage was superb and it was a real home from home and has everything that you would ever need. The location of the cottage is absolutely perfect for walks, places to visit, and plenty of places to eat and drink locally.

Beautiful home, comfortable, warn, spacious with a wonderful view and a special position. The kitchen is better kitted out than my own home, with everything you could need. I so much want to stay again.

This is the perfect cottage! We were just two and our dog so it was a real treat to have all the space to ourselves. The view is outstanding and the creature comforts were all you could desire. There is a wonderful ambience in the cottage which just relaxes you. So easy to walk into the village for shopping or eating and drinking without needing the car, but of course there are plenty of super places to visit further afield. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to be able to come again.

This is a beautiful property; thoughtfully and tastefully renovated to provide high quality and spacious accommodation with everything you could possibly need. (The binoculars were a bonus!). It is so very peaceful with stunning views from the upstairs balcony over Porlock Marsh to the Bristol Channel. We have been visiting Exmoor for over 40 years and this is one of the best properties we have stayed in. Just what we needed after a stressful year.

We didn't use the sitting room because the weather was so good and there are plenty of sofa's and comfy chairs around the house.

Porlock is a historic village on the edge of Exmoor National Park in Somerset, in a sheltered vale between the moor and the Bristol Channel coast. Its heritage stretches back to Saxon times.



The meandering High Street is lined with independent shops, including a traditional butcher, chemist, hardware shop, post office, two convenience stores, art galleries, a chocolate shop, and a cash machine. Most shops keep hours of 9am to 5pm, often extending during the summer season.



The harbour hamlet of Porlock Weir is approximately one mile to the west and makes a lovely walk or a short drive. There you will find a 15th-century tidal harbour, a pub, restaurants, cafes, and independent shops and galleries.



Minehead is the nearest town, approximately 6 miles away. Here you will find larger supermarkets and petrol stations (Tesco and Morrisons on the outskirts with longer opening hours), most major high street banks with cash machines, and a range of other shops. EV charging points are available at Porlock Central Car Park.
