Magnifiquement rénové travailleurs victoriens chalet dans le centre-ville de Ludlow.

Cette simple travailleurs victoriens chalet a été soigneusement transformée en une belle petite maison de vacances. L'intérieur est entièrement nouveau et ses deux chambres peuvent accueillir 2 ou 3 personnes. Il ya un beau jardin à l'arrière.
99 Old Street est situé au centre et à quelques minutes à pied du centre-ville, sur l'une des rues les premiers de Ludlow. Il est juste à quelques pas de l'église historique, pubs et du château de Ludlow, où commerces et restaurants parmi les ruelles médiévales de Ludlow est abondante. Nous sommes également idéalement situé pour les marcheurs, avec la belle rivière Teme et Whitcliffe commune à quelques minutes à pied. Avec ses 52 acres et une vue imprenable sur le château, la commune est un endroit idéal pour voir de Ludlow, et à arrêter et réfléchir.

What a lovely little cottage with everything you need. Just a few minutes walk to the town with great pubs. Ideal base for going hiking in the Shropshire hills.

Very clean property, a bit disappointing that there was no welcome pack after a long journey and had to head straight to the shops. There wasn’t a lot of information provided in leaflets in terms of what to do in the area but this was all shown on the internet .The garden was good for the dogs and left to nature you just need to be careful to avoid the fallen apples and brambles.Overall an enjoyable stay.

Nice little cottage

Enjoyed our stay at the cottage in Ludlow. Everything available for our stay. A little cold some nights but there was a log burner and logs. Garden untidy considering the pic on the advert. Nice shower, but noisy fan in bathroom that stayed on too long.

Beautiful Cottage with potentially beautiful garden

Ludlow is a gorgeous little town and our cottage was centrally located just outside the town centre. It was spotlessly clean, but lacking some kitchen items that were probably there at one time--such as something that could be used as a salad bowl. Recycling requirements in Shropshire are stringent, but other than directions of which of the bins to use for which items, there were no in-house bins to put food waste, paper and plastic, or glass. We made use of stuff in the kitchen to load those up and dutifully recycled, but it would have been nice if there had been items fit for purpose in the kitchen. The bathroom was lovely, but the shower enclosure gasket leaks and water can puddle on the floor unless it is perfectly positioned. This could cause a potential longterm problem--there is some evidence of water damage around the doorway. However, we simply put a towel on the floor and that took care of the issue for the duration of our stay. The garden, to which we had access, could be gorgeous and very useable, but it is overgrown and not very appealing. This was a comment made by numerous guests who signed the guest book. It is a real shame because the weather was beautiful during our stay and it would have been nice to use the garden. The guest guide is out of date--there are no launderettes left in Ludlow and some instructions were for establishments long gone. I would recommend that it be updated. In the long run we had a wonderful stay in the cottage and the issues I have raised above did not mar our enjoyment. However, as a somewhat expensive place to stay, it might behoove the owner to address them. We would stay there again in a second, especially if the garden were given some TLC!

Thanks for your comments. I'm glad you had a good time in Ludlow. Sorry you couldn't find the salad bowl - it was there all along! I'm not sure what other items you feel the kitchen lacks - we are always complemented on how well equipped it is so we'd really appreciate more feedback on this. Recycling in South Shropshire is not stringent at all. We put it all in the same boxes. I take your point, however, that a box somewhere in the kitchen might be useful, as long as it doesn't get in the way. It is a shame that we recently lost our one and only laundrette and for not updating the guide book I'm very sorry. The garden does deserve a bit of love I agree but fruit laden trees and blowsy roses are also part of the secluded charm we are trying to create.

Schoon, een paar pannen waren een beetje oud, de leren bank in de woonkamer heeft zijn beste tijd gehad, de tuin mag ook bijgehouden worden, maar een knusse woning en prima voor het bedrag, Goede locatie op wandelafstand van het centrum, wel op een heuvel wat lastig was voor een persoon in ons gezelschap.

A cosy cottage in a great location

What a gem of a find this property was. It's within a couple of minutes walking distance of Ludlow town centre, which has some great cafes and restaurants, particularly Kin Kitchen for lunch and The Old Bakehouse for dinner. Don't be put by the exterior of the place, you're staying inside it not outside. Everything you'll need is there, particularly the dishwasher. So if you're looking for somewhere to stay in Ludlow, stop looking, click book and carry on with the rest of your day. Enjoy your trip, we certainly did.

Great position just out of the town

The cottage is fab and a short stroll out of the town so very quiet at night. Although it's on a main road the traffic noise was minimal until around 7.30am. Very clean and comfortable and the on-street parking works perfectly and we were never more than a couple of metres from the front door.

A charming little cottage where we spent a very happy week.

The cottage provided everything needed for a comfortable stay and more. Lots of thought gone into the equipment and design. Location was excellent - just five minutes walk from centre. We were quite happy with the overgrown garden as it was a very hot week and we appreciated the shade! However, it does need some attention and there was a considerable amount of recycling piled up which looked more than a week's usage. We would certainly return here and recommend the property to friends.

Charming and well-situated cottage

99 Old Street is perfectly situated within easy walking distance of the beautiful centre of Ludlow. It feels remarkably spacious for its size and had been thoughtfully equipped. Lovely outside space, something of a 'secret garden', in which we enjoyed wine and birdsong. I would definitely stay here again.

Charming Ludlow

Directions great and we found the cottage easily. The cottage was exactly right for us, although the 2nd bedroom was more suited to a child, it was fine. Plenty of clean towels in the bathroom and the kitchen was well equipped with all that we needed - we ate out most of the time at some excellent restaurants. We would highly recommend the Angel on Broad Street; the Church Inn and the Blue Boar were also good.

it's a great place to stay, loved the courtyard garden, very close to the market square. There's nothing to dislike about the house and Ludlow as a town.

Lovely Ludlow

This was the perfect property for us, giving us a great location to access Ludlow town for a potter about about and to get out into the countryside with the dog. Parking was easy too. Property was very homely, with a small but well appointed kitchen. We would highly recommend the Pea Green cafe for a supper delivery to your door.

Lovely Little Ludlow Cottage

99 Old Street is a small but beautifully presented cottage. Everything you would want for short stay is provided. It is ideal for a couple or possibly a family with one young child. Highly recommend it.

This is our second stay and as before we really enjoyed it .Especially welcome was the central heating which meant the cottage was warm on arrival. Everything you need for a lovely short stay.

very small but cosy,clean and well equipped, lovely fresh bread,butter and eggs on arrival .Comfy beds and pillows and great shower Dissappointed with garden ,very overgrown and not really dog friendly,didnt realise both neighbours have access across it.Proximity to town and the commom was great.Cottage is ideal for travellers who are out all day and just want somewhere comfortableto sleep, Sarah sorted free parking in nearby car park for duration of our weeks stay
