Casa Isabella is an luxury villa located within walking distance of vast unspoilt sandy beaches on the Praia d'El Rey Golf and Beach Resort with its award winning, championship golf course. The villa is 5mins walk from the golf clubhouse and 2 mins from the tennis academy (with 7 floodlit courts) , 10 mins from the beach and 5* Marriott with superb restaurants, bars, spa, gym and pools. The resort offers kids clubs in the summer months, and a tennis camp, and there are a number of well run surf schools nearby. Off resort there are plenty of interesting historical towns and beaches to visit and activities for children and adults alike (vineyards, restaurants and beach bars, scuba diving, windsurfing, sailing, horse riding, other golf courses at West Cliffs, Bom Successo and Royal Obidos). This spacious villa is well equipped with travel cot, highchair, TV, DVD, WiFi, and works well for 1 or 2 families. Outside, the villa has its own, private large heated swimming pool, built-in BBQ, table tennis and sheltered outdoor eating area, all set in a beautiful established garden.
Note 1: If you do not require the pool to be heated, let me know and I will remove the heating fee from your booking.
Note 2: If you are a winter booking and will require the house to be heated, please let me know as a local charge will be applied and the meter will be read as you check in and check out so you only pay for the amount of gas used.

A home from home Villa

The Villa provided us with a relaxing break. It’s a lovely place to stay. Plenty of space for the six of us to have our family holiday. The pool and table tennis was a winner for us- pool was a great temperature. The kitchen has everything you will need and other touches (like a hairdryer in every bathroom) made for an easy stay. Great comms from the owner and the local agent, they made it easy for us. Would absolutely recommend, but you will need a car to get around.

Great stay

We stayed here for 4 days in July (7 of us) and were quite happy with our stay. The living/dining room and outdoor seating was plentiful and comfortable and the bedrooms/bathrooms also quite pleasant. It was a little damp, but having a clothes dryer helped after a day in the pool to dry towels. The kitchen was well equipped and it was a short drive to the beach and to the local town to pick up groceries/supplies. Overall, a very relaxing and pleasant stay. The management company was also quite responsive to inquiries and check in/out process was seamless.

Wonderful Villa & Location

Casa Isabella is beautiful & stylish villa clearly looked after with great pride by Kate & family. Both inside & outside areas are clean, very spacious & provide every facility you need. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, something we don’t often find in other villas of this size, we will left plenty of pool towels and wonderful information, directions and suggestions of places to visit during our stay. The heated pool was wonderful especially as our weather was slightly mixed & cooler on odd days - so our boys could still enjoy the outside. We felt very safe and relaxed during our entire stay And the resort and club house are both smart and delightful to walk around. Located only 15/20 minutes from areas such as Obidos & Peniche Casa Isabella is a truly ideal spot for a relaxing holiday with options to visit other nearby places without too much travelling.. thank you Kate and family for letting us spend a gorgeous holiday in your lovely place!

Ha sido todo un descubrimiento. La Casa súper amplia equipada con todo lujo de detalles. No se deja nada a la improvisación. El mantenimiento del césped y piscina se hacía a diario. La zona súper tranquila y a 5 min de la playa en coche. Pedro, la persona que nos recibió siempre estaba atento y pendiente de que nuestra estancia fuese cada día mejor. Sin duda, para volver.

Great villa

We used Casa Isabella as holiday home for a short golfing trip (group of 7). It is very close to the Praia Del Rey club house and ideally located for golf, but also as a base for exploring the fascinating ‘west’ of Portugal (Obidos, Bombarral, Caldas da Rainha, Nazaré, Leiria). After the golf it was great to relax by the heated pool, and just enjoy a beautifully decorated house and the cosy space.

Skønt familieophold

Alt oversteg vores forventninger, da vi ankom til dette skønne hus. Ideelt til familieophold med skønne værelser med eget bad. Det naturlige opholdssted var selvfølgelig ved den dejlige swimmingpool - og huset var yderst smagfuldt og velindrettet med alle faciliteter i køkkenet. Hele familien nød opholdet i fulde drag.

We arrived to the house after an overnight flight from North America and a quick hour drive from Lisbon airport. Prisilla and Pedro were so helpful in getting us settled in quickly. Having a beautiful home to relax in for a few days as we adapted to Portugal time got our vacation off to a great start. We were travelling as a family of 5 so having the 4 bedrooms, each with their own en suite bathroom, was fantastic. We enjoyed the pool and the short walking distance to the beach. The kitchen was very well equipped so it was easy for us to do meal preparation. The house is well located to access Sintra, Obidos, Peniche and Nazare as day trips. If you are travelling as one or two families this is the place for you!

Relaxing stay

Perfect for a relaxing stay with the family. Very chilled location and perfect accommodation for the whole family with multiple bathrooms, large kitchen and fab outdoor bbq. Was a shame some neighbouring villas were having works done so you could hear lots of building works in morning and throughout the day, however I’m sure it will be completed soon. I would also recommend that on arrival the team advise what service members will be popping in, we were unaware until they were in the garden that someone would be popping in to clean pool, set-up water sprinkler for grass and gardener. All great services but would have been good to know they would drop by.

Thank you for your review. I am so sorry that a neighbour's building works were still going on. I had been assured the noisy external works would be finished by end of April. Regarding services, they generally pop in when no cars on the drive and the house appears empty so as not to disturb and we have found this the best way in the past as pre-arranged days and times inevitably shift if they encounter a problem elsewhere, but thank you for the suggestion, I will discuss with them. Es ist ein absolut empfehlenswertes Feriendomizil!

Das Ferienhaus ist geschmacklich sehr schön eingerichtet. Bei der Ausstattung fehlt es an nichts. Alles ist sehr sauber und sehr gepflegt. Es gibt Ansprechpartner vor Ort, die immer sehr bemüht waren, uns jeden Wunsch zu erfüllen.

Perfect!!!!

Wonderful classy villa. Catered for all our needs as a group of seven golfers. Loads of space for everyone . We used some of the games provided when we stayed in and had our pizza's!! Great location for the local golf courses which we all loved. Pool is great for a quick swim and heated!! Would definitely stay here again . Thanks Kate

We live in the UK and have our holiday home in Praia d'El Rey. As a family we have been coming to Portugal since we were young children 30+ years ago and have always loved the kindness of the Portuguese people and the beauty of the country. Since growing up and now having young families of our own, we love being able to spend time at our house in Portugal. We like to explore, have a bit of beach time - all the children have learned to surf and play golf in the last couple of years - and pool fun and relaxation. We adore the food and culture of Lisbon but more than anything, have found that this is the one holiday destination where we truly relax.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

We bought the house here in Praia d'El Rey because it still feels like the 'real' Portugal in this area. It doesn't have the intense heat of the Algarve, but regularly hits 28 - 30 degrees in the summer - plenty hot enough with our young children! The beaches are fabulous - miles and miles of sand, and many of those miles with hardly a soul on them - and with our family members being keen tennis players, golfers and surfers, there is loads for us to do in the area. We have explored the immediate vicinity and love the beaches, restaurants, small pretty towns, and further afield have rather fallen in love with Lisbon and Porto.
For teens, as well as the golf and tennis, there is a go-karting, paint balling, bowling, sailing, surfing and a vibrant night life in the nearby towns of Ferrel and Baleal.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

The house is well laid out. We usually go on our own as a family of 4 or with another family, when each family can have a floor to themselves, or the adults can be on one floor with all the children on another. We have set the house up to be flexible in this way - with twins made up as a superking bed on the ground floor if required.
We had the pool heated about 12 years ago and don't regret that for a second. Unheated pools on the resort can be very chilly and I for one prefer a balmy 29 degrees before I will swim! We have just installed a new pool heater and cover, and also had the pool re-lined so it's looking fabulous. (March 2019)
We like to keep things simple when we are in our home from home. Some good music on, getting a guitar out, or grabbing wetsuits and heading down to the beach for a surf then a bbq with friends when we get back, and a movie for the kids - a perfect way to spend a holiday!
