Emplacement parfait! À seulement 250 pieds du sentier Great Eastern et à 700 pieds de Homestretch! Maison contemporaine de 3 chambres et 2 salles de bain avec mezzanine en prime. Le niveau principal est un plan d'étage ouvert. Pourquoi sortir quand vous pouvez cuisiner tous vos repas dans la cuisine, la salle à manger et le salon récemment rénovés, avec le salon doté d'un foyer au bois, d'une télévision et d'une connexion Wi-Fi. Après une longue journée sur les pistes, vous pouvez laisser les enfants jouer au baby-foot dans le loft pendant que les adultes profitent de la paix et de la sérénité sous le ciel nocturne tout en se relaxant dans le bain à remous extérieur!

Great stay and location

Our family had a great visit. The lodge was roomy and perfect for our family of four. The walk wasn't too hard for our 4 and 7 year Olds. Loved it

Killington

Large enough for six. The dirt road became a mud slosh slide drive, would never make it without 4 wheel drive. The walk to the slope is very difficult , so I would not consider the a ski in/out. Otherwise, it was a nice place to stay ,

The place is pretty dated and a bit run down. We also didn’t realize it was so far from the base area which wasn’t much of an issue but it seemed closer from the map on the listing. We had to disable the fire alarms that were chirping because of low batteries, we notified the host immediately but didn’t hear back until late the next day, they came to look at it but were unable to do anything. Most dishes are chipped and the kitchen was stocked with a hodge podge of pans and utensils, not really enough to do more than some very simple cooking. Water pressure in showers is quite poor. We won’t stay at this location again.

Slopeside Killington

Great place to stay with our young kids, for a ski getaway. Our 5-8 year-old kids only complained about the hike through the snowy woods the first time. Once they realized that skiing was less than a minute away, they had no trouble. The house is a perfect ski lodge -- lots of beds, a nice kitchen, a hot tub, and a bunch of games. The last 3/4 mile is not paved. Our minivan with road tires made it up when the snow was hard-packed and cold, but we needed our emergency chains when it was warmer and slushy.

Getaway Vacations Not to be trusted

The house itself was fine. Clean beds, and stocked kitchen. It was not ski in ski out as advertised. Very difficult for younger children to get to slopesThere were also mice in the house running through the kitchen and family room while we were eating dinner on 2 different occasions. The property manager Getaway Vacations applied a large unauthorized charge to our credit card after our visit. They refused to communicate about the charge. They were also unresponsive to concerns that we raised about the property. We definitely overpaid for the house. Not fun!

Mixed review

The cleaning crew was still at the property 40 minutes after our 4:00 pm check in and the toilets were visibly dirty. The trails were indeed close (Eastern Passage and Home Stretch), however, getting through the woods to them with gear was difficult over a steep hill in deep snow. We ended up using parking passes and driving to lift areas as it was far easier. The positives were that the kitchen was well-equipped and the neighborhood was nice. The hot tub was a plus, although the jets did not work very well. We would probably stay in a larger, more modern space next time. The unit definitely needs some updating.

The other factors mentioned, like the deep snow and other environmental circumstances, common during a good winter in Vermont, and undoubtedly beyond our control as the vacation rental company. Winter is in full effect and lasts long in Vermont, which is the draw for people visiting from all over the country, as Killington offers the best skiing trails in the Northeast. In regards to the cleanliness of the property, specifically the toilet, we want to highlight that the cleanliness of each property is our main priority. Our mission as a company is to provide stellar housekeeping and cleaning services, especially in the wake of COVID-19, which may require extra time in some cases. Our housekeeper was in the process of cleaning it when you arrived and although on a time constraint, she was able to fully complete the cleaning process. We have been receiving a high volume of reservations lately, including late check-outs and early arrivals, and sometimes the task of completing our exemplary housekeeping practices overlap with guests' arrivals. The health of our guests and staff is of utmost importance to us and we will continue to strive for that excellence. Thank you.
