Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very nice experience The room was well maintained and clean. It had a great view. for your consideration here are a couple of suggestion. Provide a measuring cup and an extra bar of soap. Also a second night stand would be helpful.

Not a luxury stay- an old building from the 60s

We booked this room as it was described as a luxury but it was far from it due to the problems experienced.The whole building and rooms are old. Built in the 1960s, the hotel shows its age. The escalators from the front of the hotel to the lobby were broken our entire stay. There were large parts of the lobby roped off for repairs to the ceiling and I saw that the water was to be turned off for many hours on our last day. There had also been floods in the lobby.Room-The bathroom was dirty. The glass shower doors were so caked in dirt and debris they looked frosted. The room is truly not clean. When you look closer there is dirt on the walls and into the corners of the room. It absolutely needs a deep cleaning and my suggestion is to use different cleaners. The air conditioner started to die and making a constant shrieking noise. It started at 5 am our first night and kept it up our entire stay. We contacted the management and they were very responsive which was nice. They sent a cleaning duo who did not make any difference. They also sent an AC repair person who determined a new motor was needed but unfortunately the parts were not available. We were given what was called “one night” refund however it only equaled 1/6 of our bill. The bed was very old and soft & should be replaced and the toilet runs constantly unless the handle is lifted. The balcony & furniture were old & dirty. The view & location were nice and we appreciated the support from mngt. Can’t recommend..

We took many guided tours while there and our pickup spots for the tours were usually within a half a block. The island is beautiful, make sure you explore more than jus5 Waikiki area. I will definitely stay at this condo again when I return to Hawaii.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed at a great unit at the Illikai. 15 floor ocean side. It had all the necessities, was quiet, and close to everything in Waikiki. The check in and check out were simple. One issue was the expensive parking. The hotel has ‘valet parking’ which limits your ability to travel freely around the island. Otherwise it was a great stay. We will be back!
