Sérénité dans les montagnes

Les planchers de la cabine ont été récemment rénovés.

Cette cabine a Ă©tĂ© utilisĂ©e pour de nombreuses lunes de miel et anniversaires. De plus, il y a eu au moins 3 mariages cĂ©lĂ©brĂ©s dans la cabine. D'autre part, il a Ă©galement Ă©tĂ© utilisĂ© comme une retraite lorsque les familles ont perdu des ĂȘtres chers ou pour Ă©chapper Ă  une vie autrement stressante.

Détendez-vous dans les chaises berçantes sur le porche avant ou celles sur le porche arriÚre. Par temps frais, détendez-vous devant la cheminée et profitez des belles montagnes à travers le mur de verre du sol au plafond dans le salon principal. Vous pouvez également vous détendre dans le bain à remous dans la chambre principale ou le bain à remous sur le porche arriÚre (la photo principale a été prise depuis le bain à remous).

La cabine est sur 2 1/2 acres de terrain et trÚs privée. Du canapé-lit ou du fauteuil inclinable du salon ou des bascules du porche arriÚre ou du bain à remous, vous ne voyez aucune autre cabane / maison, juste les bois, la faune et la montagne Brush au loin. Le feuillage d'automne est spectaculaire!

La chambre principale a un lit king size, une télévision à écran plat, un lecteur DVD et un bain à remous. Adjacent à la chambre est une salle de bain complÚte avec douche / baignoire.

Il y a 1 Ă©tape vers le porche avant et une autre Ă©tape vers la partie principale de la cabine qui a la cuisine-salle Ă  manger, la chambre principale.

Il y a une lampe de bouleau fabriquĂ©e localement dans le salon principal. D'autres abat-jours prĂ©sentent des Ɠuvres d'art des Hautman Brothers, artistes de la faune, qui ont des Ɠuvres au Smithsonian et Ă  la Maison Blanche.

Il y a 1 marche du rez-de-chaussée au porche arriÚre qui a le barbecue au charbon de bois, des rockers et un bain à remous.

La 2e chambre et la salle de bain complÚte (combinaison douche / baignoire) sont situées dans le loft. Il comprend un couvre-lit Hautman Brothers et un autre abat-jour Hautman Brothers. Il y a une télévision à écran plat, XBox 360 avec des jeux vidéo et des jeux de société.

Le salon est équipé d'un téléviseur Roku de 49 "avec DVD, donc les films et la chaßne Roku sont gratuits. Si les clients ont des abonnements à Netflix, Hulu, etc. ils peuvent également utiliser ces abonnements sur le téléviseur.

La chambre principale et la chambre en mezzanine disposent d'une télévision à écran plat avec lecteur DVD. Des films et des livres DVD sont fournis pour votre plaisir et votre détente.

Toutes les attractions le long de la promenade de Pigeon Forge sont à seulement 5 à 10 minutes, tandis que Dollywood et le parc national sont à seulement 10 à 15 minutes. Le ski de neige, l'aquarium de Ripley et les musées sont à environ 20-30 minutes à Gatlinburg.

My family and I loved our stay at the Day Dreamer! The cabin was clean, cozy, and the handcrafted furniture was beautiful. The location was convenient for many of the attractions in the area but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. Andy was helpful. Our stay couldn’t have been better!

The host, Andy, was extremely helpful and hospitable. The scenery from the back porch, especially sitting in the hot tub, was serene. It was super cozy by the fireplace, though the cabin itself kept warm through the colder days. There was plenty of seating inside and outside, and the furniture was comfortable. Everything needed to create a home-cooked meal is ready at your fingertips. Very excited to book another stay!

No mountain view like what was advertised, very over grown trees. Driveway was very steep with very loose gravel. Playing russian roulette everytime you leave or come back. Foundation for deck was eroding so bad where deck was leaning excessively. Hottub was on the deck and stepds too hottub were not in safe spot with railing. Very disappointed. Excellent Place to Day Dream

What an awesome little spot Day Dreamer is! We really enjoyed our stay, and the communication from the host was top notch. The cabin and amenities exceeded our expectations. Plenty of space for 2 adults and 2 teenagers to spread out, but still be close enough that it was actual family time spent together. The location was far enough out of town to enjoy peace and quiet, but close enough that it wasn’t a long trek to get back to Pigeon Forge or Dollywood. You’re also far enough and through enough trees that you aren’t looking at any neighboring cabins. The only slight on the neighborhood is it can be a little sketchy coming up the winding hill, as there isn’t enough room for two cars to comfortably pass each other. But that’s just a small knock. Overall we enjoyed our time, and hope to stay again someday!

Smoky Mountain Hospitality

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The pictures on the website could use some updating as they don't do it justice- it's a beautiful property and a lovely place to retreat. We had a series of unpredictable events including a maintenance issue and temporary loss of power due to storms. Our host went above and beyond to keep us informed and calm. He also arranged for us to have a wonderful meal at a great local restaurant once the roads were cleared from the debris. Serenity it is!

We loved staying at this cute cabin! It was perfect for me and my husband but could have brought either a couple of children or 2 more adults because there was another bedroom and full bathroom in the loft upstairs. Loved sitting on the couch and looking out the back door and windows to see the mountains across the way. You could also see them from the hot tub. Tons of privacy for the awesome hot tub. There were a couple of houses around but nothing that you could see at night and probably couldn’t see at all in the summer when the leaves were on the trees. Andy was absolutely wonderful to work with. If there was one negative thing to say, it would be that the driveway is a little challenging but not too bad. We would recommend this cabin and Andy 100% and can’t wait to go back!

Little Slice of Heaven

My husband, two teen boys, and two doodles thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The cabin was spotless, beautiful, and very private. I felt like I was at home. It was well appointed and had many of the things that aren'tusually provided at a rental, plenty of toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, hand soap, extra towels, etc. We had great communication with Andy, who made sure we had a perfect trip. We'll definitely be back. Listening to the rain on the tin roof was icing on the cake. This place truly is a little slice of heaven on earth. Smoky Mountain stay

This is a cute little cabin in the mountains. Very clean inside and out. Owner gave specific instructions on how to enter the driveway to make it easier to leave. Roads are steep and dark, so be careful. I had a small car was fine. Owner called to inform me of when maintenance was coming and pest control was coming. Owner is very sweet and sent lots of things for you to do on your vacation stay. I would definitely book here again.

Married (1976) with 2 children & 4 grandchildren.

I enjoy getting to know many of my guests on a personal basis. I also enjoy providing unique furnishings for the cabin and make some of the furniture myself from cutting trees to moving the furnitue in. In many cases, I do it all with the exception of building the furniture.

I really enjoy making special memories for guests, like my friend from Virginia whom I have never met in person but who have been coming to the cabin for many years. They used it before they married, used it for their honeymoon, and now return at least once a year for their anniversary.

Or the young couple who booked the cabin, then sent me a picure of their engagement ring on our fireplace hearth where he proposed to her. They returned later that year for the honeymoon.

I'm also thankful to be able to provide a "grief retreat" for those who need it, like the single mom whose 19 son died suddenly from an unknown heart condition. She wrote a very nice note explaining that the peaceful setting of the cabin helped her cope with the loss of her only child.

More recently, an 80 year old woman who expressed her appreciaton for the cabin when her husband died. They had been married for 60 years.

While the latter situations are sad, I'm thankful that the cabin can provide a little solace for those who are in a time of grief.

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

The property has a nice view. It also has plenty of privacy located on 2 1/2 acres of land, and it's also convient because it's only about 4 miles (10 minutes) to the parkway in Pigeon Forge where all the shows, restaurants, etc. are located. It's also only about 30 minutes to the national park, tubing, zip lines, horseback riding, snow skiing, etc.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

The privacy, scenery, & location make this an ideal location for a family, but it's also an ideal location for a romantic getaway. It has been used frequently for anniversaries, & honeymoons. In addition, AT LEAST 3 WEDDINGS HAVE BEEN PERFORMED IN THIS CABIN.

However, what really makes the property unique is that almost all furnishings in the property are handmade specifically for my cabin. So, you've never seen anything else like it before & will never see anything like it again. In fact, I make a lot of the furniture myself.

I salvage logs which would otherwise be burned, chipped, or left to rot. I saw the logs into boards using my own small sawmill. I then take it to a woman who makes unfinished furniture. After she builds the furniture, I put a finish on it using a secret blend of furniture oils & waxes. Only 1 person knows the formula & I'm not that person.

Some lampshades & blankets were designed from the Hautman Brothers paintings - They have wildlife paintings in Smithsonian & the White House

Most of the furniture has been built by Martha Pointer who has a small furniture shop at her home in Ashland, AL. She took over the shop when her husband Roy died & uses money from furniture sales to fund her mission trips to Peru, etc.

The dining table & chair swing were made by my friend Wayne Bridges in Northport, AL. - We ran track together in high school.

The kitchen counter and many other things were made by my friend and maintence man Lee Stephens who lives near the cabin.

The birch lamp and Red Cedar lamps were made by a man & his wife who had a shop about 5 miles from the cabin, but are no longer in business.

The smaller quilt was made to my specs by "Quilting Granny" (Sabrina Gray) in Gatlingburg who is in a wheelchair, but also a story-teller, artist, & makes herbal products.

The larger quilts were made by Kim Beecher in Prattville, AL. Kim is a retired AF Lt. Col.
