Un séjour confortable dans une ferme familiale durable

En visitant notre ferme, vous aurez l'occasion de: gambader avec des chèvres, regarder les bébés animaux naître, nourrir les cochons, en apprendre davantage sur les fibres naturelles, marcher dans les champs de fleurs, faire une randonnée aux champignons, se blottir contre les toutous, manger des légumes frais du jardin , asseyez-vous près d'un feu de camp et bien plus encore!
Restez dans le confort et le calme dans notre loft "country chic" nouvellement construit qui comprend une cuisine complète, une chambre spacieuse, une salle de bain complète, le tout baigné de lumière naturelle chaleureuse par les fenêtres orientées au sud. Explorez et apprenez sur notre ferme ou voyagez facilement vers de nombreuses attractions spectaculaires de Humboldt.
Le grenier de la grange est en haut d'un escalier court et très bien isolé des exploitations agricoles. Des détails en bois ancien récupérés encadrent le charme du pays, combiné avec des équipements modernes. Chauffé par un poêle à granules régulé par thermostat et refroidi par un grand ventilateur de plafond. Préparez votre petit-déjeuner sur la cuisinière à gaz Spark des années 1930 entièrement restaurée à l'aide de produits biologiques frais et d'œufs disponibles en saison à l'achat dans notre ferme. La chambre principale se trouve juste à côté du salon et est équipée d'un lit queen-size et de 2 lits simples gigognes. Le canapé du salon s'ouvre également sur un lit queen. Le Wifi haut débit est disponible et les divertissements T. V. sont situés dans le coin bureau. Situé sur le côté nord de la grange, il y a un cadre extérieur spacieux où vous pourrez vous détendre au soleil, grimper sur des souches d'arbres, saluer nos animaux, profiter d'un feu de camp et admirer le paysage. Faites une promenade autoguidée autour de la propriété ou prenez rendez-vous pour une visite détaillée et une introduction à notre ferme en activité.

What a special place! Sarah is a great host and a very hardworking farmer. She welcomed us with kindness and invited us to help feed their 10-day-old kids. So much fun and an awesome place to hang out. Quietest night of sleep we’ve had in a very long time. Very highly recommend!!

Staying on the farm was a lot of fun. We went to Humboldt to visit Redwood National Park. The farm was conveniently located and provided a nice alternate to staying in town.

Wow! What a wonderful experience. We had the best time staying at the farm. The place was immaculate, well appointed, and our hosts Sarah and Matt were terrific. There was two of us, and we had been planning to visit Redwood, Prairie Creek and other parks for quite a while. The huge Redwood trees and hikes were spectacular to be sure. But our stay at the farm was such a highlight, too. There were chickens lazily roaming around. A bunch of goats-three of which were just four days old when we arrived. They were so tame and lovable and begging for attention. And we got to pet them! The large black cat wanted constant attention, and the two big Akbash dogs protected everything.I’d say don’t hesitate for a moment. Book this place. I think you’ll love it as much as we did.

The farm was super great! The loft is cozy and has all the things necessary for the stay. It’s peaceful and quiet in the evening. The sounds of the farm were never a concern, the goats are very polite and respectful of the nighttime hours. lolSarah was very delightful. She is kind and always responsive and so accommodating. if you have children, she is willing to work with you on days and times to help feed the animals, or simply pet and spend time with them. My daughter loved the barn cat, he is immensely friendly. We all enjoyed our stay and are ready to become farmers ourselves!Thank you Brunner Family Farms for your accommodations and kindness. I can say so much more, but what it boils down to is, I highly recommend staying here.

Lovely farm loft

This is a lovely place to stay if you want to spend some time on a small farm. The loft itself is really nice, and the host is very helpful and sweet. We loved getting to meet the animals and to just get away for a few days.

Sarah and Matt were excellent hosts! The space and location were perfect! My boys loved helping milk the Goat and feed all the animals as well as give so much love and attention to the farm cat and dogs! Such a great place I only wish we had more time! So close to some great beaches like Luffenholtz where we went at low tide and saw so many creatures in the tide pools! And only an hour south of some great hiking in Redwoods. Also such a cute town of Arcata just 20 min south of the farm with great shops, food and an awesome co-op grocery. Loved our time here.

Cozy place to unwind and explore the Redwoods!

We loved our stay at the Brunner Family Farm! Even though our stay was limited and mostly spent exploring the Redwoods and Fern Canyon, my girls still say their favorite part was “sleeping at the farm” and playing with their kitties! Wish we had a few more days just to stay on the farm and explore, so we will have to come back!

So cozy

We loved staying at this property. Our kids couldn’t wait to get home from hiking to hang with the animals at the farm. Sarah was a wonderful host and gave us a farm tour that we loved. I loved walking past the flower section of the barn every time we left or came home. Our stay was truly dreamy and the loft was so cozy. Highly recommend!

Great stay

We enjoyed our stay at this cozy apartment over the barn. Our kids loved seeing the animals (especially the cats). The apartment was spotlessly clean and kitchen was well supplied with plates, tea kettle etc. Just be aware- no dishwasher or microwave. Location worked well for trips to hike in the state/national parks.

Unique farm stay

Sarah's farm is gorgeous! The space is located on the top floor of the barn, which means we got a lot of interaction with the goats, cows, and adorable dogs--- certainly not your everyday boring hotel room. We arrived late which was an inconvenience for Sarah but she was very gracious. The space was absolutely spotless, chic and stylish. Sarah gave us a tour of the sustainable farm so we could learn about what she does there and meet all the animals. We truly loved our stay.

Simply amazing!

If our daughter was writing this review, it would consist of one word: GOAT. Greatest Of All Time. Yes, absolutely. (But also the animal…) What an amazing stay! Sarah and Matt have created a beautiful and welcoming space in their barn loft and on their family farm. The farm itself and the surrounding areas are quite scenic. The loft is very cozy and well stocked with everything you need. Kids will LOVE being near the farm animals, and if they can help with evening chores, it’s a magical experience. We definitely plan to return for another fabulous stay (and to satisfy our growing goat obsession!).

Farm Chic

We had a wonderful stay at the Brunner Family Farm loft in early August. The property is absolutely beautiful, lush with flowers, fruits, vegetables, and friendly farm animals. Although our schedule didn’t allow for a full tour, we enjoyed walking the grounds one peaceful morning and soaking it all in.The loft itself is a charming and well-appointed space, located above the barn where the goats live. Despite that, we were pleasantly surprised by how well-insulated and quiet it was inside, no noticeable animal sounds or farm smells. While we did hear the dogs barking at night as they protected the animals, the host thoughtfully provides ear plugs in the drawer, and everything was clearly communicated in advance.We stayed with two adults, a young child, and a baby, and the space worked perfectly for our family. It was a peaceful, wholesome, and truly unique experience. The communication with the host was excellent, and we felt well taken care of throughout our stay. Highly recommend!

Life as it should be

The loft was modern, clean and cozy. The owners run a family farm and while we did not come for that, we were pleasantly surprised by the small-farm feel of the property and being a part of it. Everyone should experience the way a smaller farm property can be operated at a family level to be self sufficient and sustainable. The owners were attentive and willing to share their knowledge of the property and surroundings. I would love to come back with kids or grandkids solely to give them this experience. The Fieldbrook area is truly a hidden gem. Quaint with a local feel, free from large-scale tourism and pass-thru traffic. Thank you Sarah and Matt!

Pure magic!

From the moment we pulled into the driveway our stay was pure magic. Sarah and Matt’s farm is quaint and whimsical and the loft is an extension of that whimsy. The loft is very comfortable, quiet and well equipped. The only noise you hear are the enchanting goat bells and ducks - which we loved! Between the venue and our host’s gracious hospitality, we didn’t want to leave; are stay was not long enough! We are already planning our next trip. PS…we’re very sorry for forgetting to close the gate when we left!

Hello, my name is Sarah and my husband Matt and I have enjoyed living in Humboldt County for over 20 years. We are currently raising our 2 young children on our organic farm in Fieldbrook, while Matt also works at Cal Poly Humboldt (formerly Humboldt State University). Matt and I originally moved to Arcata to attend the university, but stayed long after graduating because of our love for the local culture, environmental beauty, and the creative and friendly people of Humboldt County. Matt is an accomplished musician with a strong passion for acoustic old time country and bluegrass. He's a member of the beloved "Striped Pig String Band" who regularly organize and play for barn dances all over the county. While staying with us, you may occasionally hear him playing his fiddle on the porch. As a student at HSU, I focussed my studies on sustainable agriculture and have applied all I learned and more to developing our little organic farm. For years I was involved in managing some of our local farmers markets, but now my time is entirely balanced between growing/marketing our products and being a full time mom! Down time is rare, but when it rains I also enjoy crafting, baking, and knitting. We all love enjoying the natural beauty of our county. Matt surfs at many of the local wild and challenging surf breaks, we often camp and hike in the summer, and sometimes make it up to the snowy mountains in the winter. But our favorite place is always back at home!

Our farm and community are the real deal. This is not a tv ready, pimped and primped, over manicured, high end spa resort in farmers clothing. We are a true working family farm with grit in our teeth and dirt under our fingernails. We produce quality produce, cut flowers, and fiber products for sale and it's our passion and livelihood. That being said, we do also have high standards for providing a high quality experience for our guests with a clean and well equipped accommodation, access to hands on farm experiences, and being available for local information and assistance. We LOVE to host. We love meeting and chatting with our guests and sharing in what we do here. We are happy to make time to give you a tour of the farm or give you all the privacy you want to explore on your own. Just let us know what you need and we're happy to oblige.
