New 2bd cottage in a redwood setting on private 2.5 acres for your pleasure! Centrally located from Arcata, Trinidad, Willow Creek, Beaches, Redwood National Park and more! Only 5 miles from the coast and out of the summer fog! Trails and country roads for nature walks and biking. Plenty of space for pitching a tent! There is small creek with a 10-15' waterfall about 100' from the home and children would have to be closely monitored. This is a forested environment and please anticipate signing a liability form upon arrival.

This is a very nice place to stay. The beds are amazing? And it is so quiet and beautiful we couldn't wait to get back after our day outings to relax on the deck.

If you are planning to explore the north coast, this is an excellent place to call home when coming back from your adventures. It is newly remolded, clean, very comfortable beds, and central to all the big locations and has a very accessible local community and very kind and hospitable neighbors. The hosts did an excellent job.

We had a wonderful stay with our 2 year old. Check in was a breeze. Received clear instructions from the host in the morning on the day of our arrival. It does have a drip coffee maker, and baking items such as a baking sheet. Which we used to make cookies one night. It is peaceful place and still close by to most things. We could go to downtown Eureka in 30 minutes or less. It is a dirt road but it is no issue even if you have a sedan. Overall we enjoyed our time, and check out was simple and easy.

We loved our stay at the cabin in Fieldbrook! It has a wonderful remote charm but it isn’t far from McKinleyville or Arcata. The hosts are very friendly and prepared the cabin for a great stay. We appreciated that they had wood, coals and starters for the fire pit and bbq. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed to cook.

Loved it, this was perfect location for our Redwood adventures. Host was very responsive and house was very clean, had all the things we needed. Only feedback would be to have WiFi - and that’s just based on teenagers needing to decompress after a day of forced family fun.

Thanks for staying! Yes devices/tv must be connected to your phone via mobile hotspot but the cell signal is good enough to provide live TV, Netflix, You Tube and basic internet service. We have a cellular antenna booster in the living room for the best service in home.

Very comfortable, secluded home! You definitely feel away from it all while still being reasonably close to groceries, gas, etc. It's a great home base for exploring all the natural beauty in the area!

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It was very clean, check in process was easy, communication was great. As another review mentioned, there is no laundry and no WiFi so if you are a work from home person or have kids that like to play online games, you will have to use your phone’s hot spot and this can be tricky at times because the signal (Verizon) was at most 2 bars. If you are a cook, bring your favorite spices. Cooking utensils, pots, pans, foil, plastic wrap, olive oil, s&p, coffee filters, and towels are provided. The property is very quiet and sat way back from the main road so there is virtually no road noise which was very nice. We saw some deer, a little cat, and many birds right on the property. Check out process was also simple. We would stay here again as is is a very clean, quiet stay at a budget friendly price.

This house was excellent. We cancelled our hotel to move to this place, and it was what we needed. Close to all the things, but in the trees, quiet, dark, and peaceful. The house felt brand new....newly redone, new bed, new bedding, new bathroom, new! You will be glad when you get there.

The cabin is very nature friendly. The host was happy to discuss the area and what areas were able to be accessed by guests. When power went out unexpectedly, the host was quick to ensure our well being, brought over candles and flashlights and offered water/additional assistance if it became necessary. Very helpful!

This property would be great for a small family or a 1-2 couples. The peace/solitude of the location was wonderful (three deer wandered by one morning). Yet, it's close enough to shops, pubs and the 101. We loved the seclusion! Follow directions from host, not phone maps, or you may overshoot a critical turn (like we did). As a newer build, the home was spotless, fresh and snug. Loved the huge windows. It was too chilly to enjoy the deck, but it would be a great place to hang in milder temps. Do mind owner notes about internet connectivity. You need a hotspot to do any connecting. We only got the Netflix to work by placing our phone on the upper cabinet, near the booster, over the kitchen sink. Manage your expectations and/or just bring a book and read. It was just fine for us, as connecting a bunch of devices at once while watching TV was not what we were there to do. The streaming movie was a bonus, not a requirement. Hubby managed to keep his NYT crossword streak going - so we're calling it a win. It was a pretty cool property...

Wow what a beautiful getaway! We loved this cute little cottage in the woods. The home is impeccably clean, has a wonderful well stocked kitchen, a lot of natural light, plenty of windows to let in fresh air, and a beautiful deck with a gorgeous, private view. We also appreciated the spacious bathrooms, the quality hand soap at each sink, and the amazingly comfortable bed. We slept so well in the main bedroom. The outside area has a really nice spot with a fire pit and a walking trail down to a creek. The property is very private and the area is very quiet. We even saw a bear run across the road while we were there. That was about a half mile away from the property. Even though it is quiet and tucked away, it is still very close to everything. We love spending time in Trinidad, which was an easy drive. We also found mckinleyville to be enjoyable. And since we were so close, we spent more time in eureka than we normally would. We usually camp north of Trinidad, so this was a special treat.

We had such a wonderful stay at this beautiful cabin in the Redwoods. It was just my husband and me for the weekend, and it was the perfect place to relax and reconnect. The cabin was very clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed to enjoy our time there. The views were absolutely stunning and made the whole experience feel peaceful and special.The owners were incredibly communicative and thoughtful throughout our stay. They were quick to answer questions and even shared some great recommendations for things to do in the local community, which we really appreciated.One of the most magical moments happened one morning when we woke up and looked outside to see five deer in the yard. It felt like such a gift to experience that kind of quiet beauty. We also loved walking around the property, taking in the creek, the lush greenery, and the towering trees.We truly enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway in the Redwoods.

The property had everything I wanted. Well actually I was hoping the Internet would not work at all so we could all unplug but it actually worked much better than I expected. Just a little slower. And we got stuck in the "mud" but for just 275 you can get pulled right out lol* just don't park in the mud* overall the house was everything my family needed. Thank you for opening your home to us!

This place seems very new and is an attactive option if you want to stay in a more rural location in second-growth redwoods. We lived very close to this property many years ago and so this is exactly what we were looking for. We had no complaints and would not hesitate to book this place again. We noted two small areas for imporvement. There is no washer/dryer and the nearest facilities are in McKinleyville, so you cant pack light and expect to do laundry. Also, being new, the kitchen has the very basics, but is lacking spices, cooking oils, food storage (e.g. tupperware), foil, platics wrap ot anything similar. I suspect this will change with time. Overall, very quiet, peaceful with nice views, a fire pit and a small creek. One small hint is that Lindsey Creek at the bottom of the road has coho salmon that spawn in it, if you are staying during some of the first significant rains of the year in Nov or Dec, this is a very memorable experience if you get lucky.

Super cute and nearly brand new place. Super clean and quiet and exactly as pictured inside and out. Excellent interior spaces and well stocked kitchen essentials equipment. The grounds were quiet and peaceful and we saw deer and very few people. Convenient to Mckinleyville and Trinidad, which had plenty of modern conveniences. Enjoyed dinner at Larrupins and breakfast at Eatery. Note to aspiring chefs. There are no kitchen basics beyond salt and pepper and oil. Make sure to bring everything with you. You must use your cell coverage to use smart tv and to generate wifi for internet. Even with our spotty ATT coverage we were able to watch a few shows. This was a lovely stay in the woods and we would recommend.
