Needed a last minute place to stay for Labor Day weekend and Jason graciously welcomed us to his property. It was in a wonderful location that made getting our three kids (2,2,7 months) to the beach an easy process! We loved our stay and are looking forward to returning when we can!

Great house, location, & overall experience.

The house was clean and pleasant. It is "bright and open" just as described. I was afraid that it would be a little too cozy (family of 6), but it was cozy and spacious at the same time; probably because of the open design. We loved being able to see & speak to one another whether we were up or down stairs. We had room to spare. The house had so many little extra touches (beach chairs, boogie boards, balls, bikes, rackets, gas grill, screened porch, basketball/tennis/pickleball court in the community and more!), that we wanted for nothing and were very comfortable the entire time. It was a pleasant and short bike ride to the Harris Teeter shopping center, and an easy walk or bike ride (we did both several times) to the beach. It's a very nice and a quiet community. Jason, the owner, was very responsive, helpful, and communicative the entire time. The beds were also very comfortable! They also had nice, stainless steel cookware (including some Alclad!). We may very well be back to this rental in the future! We had a wonderful time! Thank you!

In short, we had a lovely time. The place was in a great location, walking distance to a grocery store, 3 minutes from beach, and beside a bonus tennis/pickle ball court!The house was very well stocked, paper products, seasonings, cookware. The kitchen had a great stove, dishwasher like my own at home! We enjoyed at least a half dozen home cooked meals while here. The owner was very easy to communicate with, I would rent this place again.

Great Stay!

We stayed here for a long weekend as a family. The house was spacious, clean, and only about a 5 minute walk to the beach access. Jason was responsive and helpful, and a great host. We will definitely be back.

Thoughtful Hosts & A Perfectly Stocked Getaway

We had an excellent stay at this property! From the moment we arrived, everything was spotless and well-organized. It’s clear the owners take great pride in keeping the space clean and welcoming. Communication with the owner was top-notch; he was friendly, responsive, and even went out of his way to share local restaurant recommendations, which we really appreciated.What stood out most were the thoughtful extras that went above and beyond our expectation. From beach chairs to bikes, plenty of toilet paper and paper towels, and even K-Cups for the Keurig. These small touches made a big difference and added to the comfort and ease of our trip.We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, well-stocked, and thoughtfully managed getaway.

PERFECT LOCATION

FROM START TO FINISH, I COULDN'T HAVE FOUND A BETTER BEACH HOUSE FOR THIS AREA. IT'S IN A QUIET NEIGHBORHOOD, AND AN EASY DRIVE TO ANYTHING LOCALLY.THE HOUSE WAS VERY CLEAN, NEAT, AND WELCOMING. End of Summer Getaway

My friend and I selected this location as an end of summer trip with our husbands! The home was perfect and just a couple blocks from the beach! We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 night stay! Would definitely choose this property again, as we still have lots of the OBX to explore!

Fabulous location and a beautifully appointed house

I loved this house; it was perfect for our little family (my husband, our two year old, 7 month old, and me). It was really nicely finished - you can tell the owners love this place! And also had so much equipment (kitchen had everything you could possibly want, and then lots of stuff for the beach!). Beach was super close and nice that it was a residents only access so it wasn't busy. Highly recommended!

Very satisfied

A great combination of privacy and close proximity to beach, golf, tennis, groceries and fresh seafood. Jason has thought of everything when this beach house was stocked. From bicycles to everything you would need for a day at the beach followed by a fresh crab cookout. Great vacation.

Great vacation!

This property was perfect for our family. My wife and I and our three adult sons enjoyed this home very much. There was something for everyone. The house was very clean. Jason provided everything we needed for the beach (boogie boards, chairs, umbrellas, bicycles, etc.) It was a very short 3 minute walk to the beach. We would definitely stay here again given the opportunity.

Plenty of room and things to do

Traveling with 5 (pre)teenagers and two adults we found that there was plenty of space to not be crowed. The kitchen had all the necessities along with a extra perks, like some coffee pods and sweetener. Big bonus was all the beach gear that we did didn’t have time haul from home. Jason was quick with responding and if we ever come to OBX again, I would definitely stay at the Tern Inn!

AMAZING!

Wow- this house was perfect for two families with kids under the age of 7 for our stay in Corolla. The house was a short walk to the beach (even for a 3-year-old). I have stayed in many OBX homes but the thoughtfulness of the owners was unique in this stay. The house was stocked- everything from laundry pods, Clorox wipes, dish and hand soap, paper towels, laundry soap, etc. The beach chairs were great and there were kayaks, boogie boards, a beach wagon, and sand toys. There was actual space in the backyard for happy hour drinks and room for kids to play with the games provided by the house- bocce ball, cornhole, chair hammocks, ring hook game, balls, etc. The owner was responsive and reached out throughout the week to see if we needed anything. The house was located in biking distance to the grocery store and a short drive to shopping areas. I HIGHLY recommend this house!!

Relaxing Week at the Tern Inn

Had a fun, relaxing stay for a week at the Tern Inn in Ocean Sands, Corolla. The house had everything we needed including a fully equipped kitchen with coffee maker and Keurig, gas grill, wet bar, beach chairs, bikes, and washer/dryer. The home is nicely updated with two renovated baths and the beds were comfortable. Great layout with a master bedroom on the first floor and 3 additional bedrooms upstairs and lots of extra space to spread out with a cute screened in porch and deck. Access to the beach was a short 5 minute walk down the street. The owner was very responsive, and he provided a lot of helpful information before and during our stay. We really enjoyed the Tern Inn and would stay here again in the future.

Great location, excellent hosts

The hosts were exceptionally helpful and very responsive. The house was clean, and very well furnished with household and outdoor items. Anything you would want for a trip to the beach was provided, and was in excellent condition. The location is ideal for a stay on the northern end, close to restaurants and grocery stores.

Wonderful Week in Coralla OBX

Great experience all around. Communication with Jason was great and arrived to very clean home. Everything as advertised. Lots of reviews here but will highlight our favorites. Beach gear! Back pack chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards and all with a short walk to the beach access. There were kayaks which we didn’t use. Bicycles! My wife and I used them every day. There is a great bike/walking path right there. No biking on the road. Home amenities: dishwasher, washer/dryer, full fridge with ice maker, wet bar with separate wine fridge which was great for storing all the liquids , full electric stove, gas grill, AC (which worked great). Beds and pillows were comfortable. Outside deck with seating and very private. Another screened in area with table and chairs. Games, books, puzzles, tennis equip, bocce, cornhole. And all the basics utensils, plates, glasses,etc. Only housekeeping note was limited paper products. We had to run to grocery store to buy toilet paper. Neighborhood was very quiet. Grocery store extremely convenient right up the street. So overall 5* experience and would definitely stay here again in the future.

Perfect Beach Week

The house was clean, well organized and had everything we needed. A small issue with the A/C was quickly dealt with so we didn't miss a beat while enjoying the perfect beach and weather. Would definitely recommend Tern Inn.

Everything you need

We had a fantastic stay at this home. We were 3 adults with 3 small children and the layout was perfect for everyone to have their own space without being isolated. Also the home is stocked with everything you need for a great day at the beach. It is also extremely close to the grocery store which is really handy.

Complete house for Corolla Fun!

This is a well thought out house with everything you need to enjoy your vacation and some you didn't think about. What makes this place great are the attention to details. You can tell the owner takes good care of this house. Just to list a few: - keyless entry (no keys to lose in the beach) - dual HVAC zones - Lights/switches/hose bibs where you would want them to be - updated bathrooms - comfortable mattresses - except for surfboards every possible beach toy or equipment you would want -backpack beach chairs!! -well equipped bar & kitchen -NOT tacky decor based on lighthouses -fast internet -board games and books -bowl of sea glass -non-breakable wine glasses for the beach -and backpack beach chairs, again!! Needs -martini glasses, it has every type of glass you may need to put a drink in except for these...
