DESCRIPTION:
From the top of Wisp Mountain, Wanderlust earns its name. Step outside and the ASCI Whitewater Course stretches out below you (and that's just the view from the couch!). Ski trails and hiking paths begin steps from the front door, while the lake, golf, a mountain coaster, local shops, and beloved restaurants are all just minutes away. Bring the whole crew, even your furry family members are welcome!

Inside, the main level sets the tone. A dramatic wall of windows pulls the mountains right into the room; morning light, wandering wildlife, and some of the finest sunsets Deep Creek has to offer all unfold from the comfort of the living space. The fully equipped kitchen, fireside dining area, and open lounge flow into one another naturally, so whoever's cooking never misses a moment of the conversation. Downstairs is where the nights take on a life of their own. The lower level is the true heart of the house with a custom bar, an oversized TV built for big games and movie marathons, a pool table, wall mounted Connect 4, and ring toss. Once the sun goes down, this is where everyone ends up. Up in the loft, the kids have claimed their own kingdom. A shuffleboard table, retro gaming consoles, karaoke, and a children's board-game table mean rainy afternoons turn into full-blown tournaments.

Outside, the property opens up into something special. Dine al fresco on the deck, spread out on the lawn for cornhole, Kan Jam, or giant Yahtzee, or settle into the chairs with a front-row view of the whitewater course and the fading sunset. Fire up the BBQ, ease into the private hot tub, and end the evening around the fire pit as stars emerge over the ridgeline. The community trail just outside the door leads straight to Wisp Resort's slopes and Fork Run's 550-acre nature preserve.

ACCESS DETAILS:
STATE PARK ACCESS: This home provides 2 seasonal state park passes with reservations booked to arrive during the summer weeks (mid-June - Labor Day). Each pass allows 1 car-load of people to access the lake access area at Deep Creek Lake State Park at no additional fee, plus nearby state parks including Swallow Falls State Park, Herrington Manor State Park, and New Germany State Park. Instructions for obtaining these passes can be found in your check-in instructions prior to your arrival.


Ski Access is located about .3 miles from the ski access point located off the mountaintop parking lot. Access dependent on slope availability. Slope availability does vary throughout the season. Visit Wisp Resort's website for slope conditions.

This home comes with free access to the Community Aquatic Recreation Center (CARC)! This fitness and wellness complex, located in the central Deep Creek Lake area, offers a modern gym and a full-size indoor pool. The free CARC membership is available to all guests in the home for the duration of your stay, up to the home’s full occupancy.

DOG BREED LIMITATIONS: Even in dog-friendly homes, it’s prohibited to bring any dog with a history or instance of aggressive or reactive tendencies. We welcome any dog which you know to be well-socialized, trained, and friendly in any situation involving others, both human and canine, as there may be nearby dogs at neighboring properties. However, due to restrictions in place by homeowner insurance policies, breeds listed as most aggressive are banned from all rentals, regardless of the training and temperament of the individual dog. AFTER BOOKING: An email will be sent to the address provided during check-out; please check for action items needed to secure your reservation. The subject of this email will start with "URGENT: Complete Your Booking For"... and may be in your Promotional/Marketing folders depending on your email provider and settings.

TOILETRIES & PAPER PRODUCTS: Bed linens and bath towels provided w/rental. No soaps, toiletries, paper products, trash bags, etc. will be provided with the exception of a welcome bag including a few starter items. Please pack accordingly.

NOTE: A copy of the contract holder's Photo ID, a signed contract, and a list of your full travel party (names/ages of all attending) will be required to complete your booking. If booking last minute, you may be required to stop by our main office to show your photo ID and the credit card used on the reservation. This policy is in place to help combat fraudulent activity that is more likely to occur in last-minute arrivals.
