Beautiful Rustic 4 bedroom, 5 bath home located on Lake Hartwell. Cedarwood is located on a wooded 2 acres lot with a gentle walk to the lake, with big, deep water for any water sport and a double decker dock. Bring your boat and your furry family members for a wonderful vacation. We are about 40 minutes to Helen, GA and 45 minutes to Clemson, SC
There are many waterfalls and hiking areas close. Greenville airport is about an 1:20 minutes from the house. Guests are welcome to tie up your boat to dock exterior side, we’ve provided fender bumpers. Owner’s boat does remain in slip year round.

Our home is "NOT" child safety proof. Child supervision is required at all time. There's open staircases and open water access.
Please keep noise levels down after 10pm. Pets are not allowed to roam on neighbors property. Pets are not allowed on furniture
No jumping or diving from upper dock!!! Lake levels are always changing. No boarding owners boat. Do not litter, help keep the lake beautiful!!!

Cedar Lake was perfect for 3 families! The 18 year old boys loved having the bunk room and downstairs fridge! The parents enjoyed the living areas and dock! I highly recommend this place and we will stay again!

Welcoming get away

This property is the most pet friendly place I have ever stayed at. There are many thoughtful touches throat the rental, food and water bowls, extra sleeping pads and crates, dog washing station. And this place is clean, well kept up, nice comfortable furniture and beds. If you do t have dogs, it’s just as welcoming with tons of added features throughout the house, games, sound system, plenty of kitchenware in great condition. We loved this house.

Great stay!!

We had our family of 10, 6 adults and 4 older teens stay for the weekend. The home was beautiful, well decorated, plenty of room, and easily accessible to the lake! My in-laws (upper 70s) had no problem walking to the dock. The house was well stocked with staples, and had plenty of cookware to make big meals. We loved having many places to gather such as the main living area, indoor/outdoor porch, basement and outdoor fire pit area. We felt secluded, safe, and had a blast! Rented a boat from Harbor Light Marina which was easy, too. Beds were comfy too and we all slept great!!

Beautiful property-perfectly curated

My husband, son, two grandmothers and groomsmen stayed here for my son’s wedding. Accommodations were perfect for everyone. One groomsmen travels regularly and said this was the best place he has ever stayed - that the host “ had done everything you could want - perfectly”.

Loved this house! Great area secluded enough and private. This house is situated on perfect part of the lake nice and open dock. Walk down to water and back wasn't the hike most places have so that was greatly appreciated! Everything was perfect for us

Great family trip!

The owners have thought of everything to make your stay more enjoyable. The kitchen is fully stocked, bathrooms have everything you need, and there are all kinds of games/activities to do. Plenty of room for the family to spread out. Our family loved the dining area/living area with a view of the lake. We had all of our meals there, along with family game nights. Great Lake Home

Wonderful location on lake and very private. Beautiful home inside and out has everything you need for the week of family time. Children loved the bunk room and game/TV room downstairs with outside games too. Swimming deck and upper deck were great for enjoying lunch and watching everyone swim. Having a large group 2 frigs was very helpful for us. Thank you for all the little extras from the owner also. Had a wonderful time and would come back again.

Beautiful little touches that make you feel at home ! Peaceful woodsy setting complete with the nicest thoughtful amenities provided. House and property met and exceeded expectations. (Not a fan of the jet ski noise but it was minimal Most days )

Great spot for families

We had a great time spending the weekend at the Lakehouse. My sister and her family along with our dad had a great time. Cousins got to spend time together. The table was large enough for all of us. Plenty of space to spread out. Lots of seating areas. The teenagers loved having their own bunk room and also took over the tv room downstairs. The dock was nice for swimming and sitting in the sunshine. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed for cooking. We love it.

Amazing Memories!!!

Cedarwood Lakehouse could not of been a better fit for our family. The location, the property, and the house checked all the boxes we look for in a vacation rental. This was our 15th annual family lake house vacation in the southeast and we already booked Cedarwood Lakehouse for 2024!! Kimberly is great to work with and was available throughout the booking process, checking in, and during our stay. She helped us find a boat rental and provided great insight to the surrounding areas. The house had everything you could need and more to enjoy a relaxing week on the lake. Incredible stay

We had our family and a few boys who have been friends of my kids for 12+ years gather together at the lake house for 5 days. It was absolutely perfect!! Many houses say they have an equipped kitchen but ultimately have small pans /few dishes making it difficult to cook for a large crowd. This house has it all!! Plenty of spaces to gather or get quiet time alone. Every detail is thoughtfully planned and accounted for. We definitely plan to come back and stay again next fall. Thank you Kimberly for helping us make memories with our family and friends!!

Fantastic Experience!

We loved our stay at the Cedarwood Lakehouse! The kitchen was stocked with everything you could possibly need to prepare meals. The house had so many things for both the kids and adults to enjoy (foosball, board games, toys, bunk beds, canoe, marshmallow roasting sticks, Alexa with speaker to play music, etc, etc.) The host left little touches that made us feel so welcome, such as chocolates and bug spray and sunscreen in case we forgot our own. The beds were very comfortable (even the bunk beds) and the A/C worked very well. And we had an amazing time swimming off the boat dock and taking the canoe out on the lake. It was quiet, serene and totally relaxing. We have stayed at a lot of rentals over the years, and this one felt like a real home rather than just a rental. We will definitely be back!

Perfect Lake House Getaway with Thoughtful Amenities

Our family, along with friends rented this beautiful lake house, and we had an absolutely wonderful time. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the cleanliness and welcoming atmosphere of the house. It was spotless and well-maintained, making us feel right at home. The amenities provided were excellent and truly exceeded our expectations. The kitchen, in particular, was the best stocked kitchen we have ever encountered in a rental property. Every pot, pan, and utensil was of great quality, which made cooking a pleasure. It’s clear that the hosts have put a lot of thought into ensuring guests have everything they need for a comfortable stay. The hosts really go above and beyond to make your experience unforgettable. They have anticipated every possible need and have thoughtfully provided for it. From the cozy living spaces to the well-equipped outdoor areas, every detail has been carefully considered. Overall, our stay was nothing short of perfect, and we highly recommend this lake house to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway. Great location

The listing was just as described. We enjoyed all aspects of the house and property. The only negative thing I could say is... This house is in the woods so if you don't like spiders. This house is not for you. There were spider webs everywhere. Not sure when the house was cleaned last before our arrival but it had been some time because of the amount of spider webs. The owners boat was in the slip so if you are looking for a dock that you can use the slip. This isn't the house for you. We had to tie up on the side which wasn't ideal when it listed the dock being usable. Just have the conversation with the owners before hand. Overall not a bad stay. House was fully stocked. We would probably go back.

Unfortunately being located in a wooded setting we do everything we can to knock down the webs. We have a pest control company as well, but they always come back the next day.

Sleep deprived lake trip with great friends

I can not recommend this rental with good conscious. Upon arrival you are greeted with several noxious odors. Clearly there have been smokers in this house. It was also quite dirty. We found mouse poop in the downstairs bathroom closet when unpacking and copious layers of dog hair. We actually spent several hours cleaning on our own vacation to make it more tolerable. When using the oven the first night, it billowed noxious smoke. The oven remained unusable the entire week. The upstairs guests were awakened the first night at 1 am by the smoke alarm as it needed new batteries. The downstairs guests were awake listening to mice chew furniture! Our attempts at capturing them were unsuccessful and on the third morning one mouse was found dead floating in the toilet! At this point the owners were contacted for several issues. A maintenance man came but was unsuccessful in getting the oven apart to clean it and simply poured draino in the upstairs shower as it wasn’t draining. This did nothing but now rendered the guest to be standing in ankle deep draino water. A pest control man came and set bait traps which rendered a 4th sleepless night. The downstairs hang out room, which is really a cool room for teens, has a horrible musty smell and required us medicating one of our children with an antihistamine. Despite these issues, we had a great time with family and friends. The yard leading to the dock and the dock itself are fantastic! The lake is stunning I did found the owners to be responsive until I asked for a night or two compensation due to the lack of sleep secondary to the mice infestation. I would not recommend this house to anyone with a strong sense of smell, allergies, or an aversion to mice!

This is the only negative guest experience we've ever encountered, since we opened Cedarwood Lake House to guests. This guest was critical from beginning to end with untruthful statements and at the end of their stay wanted me to refund several days. I felt this was an attempt to get something for free. They started out breaking the agreement by having additional guests over the agreed rental contract. The housekeeping company called to report the house was extra dirty and that one of the toilet tanks was broken and leaking all over the floor. My husband and I came up to the house immediately and we were heartbroken to see our beautiful home in this condition and to verify the claims this guest made. We've put this guest on the no return list and hope this doesn't happen to anyone else. Cedarwood Lake House is back to it's Beautiful setting once again! Please read all the wonderful reviews we've received over the years. We love our home and enjoy sharing it with others.

Beautiful place and view

The property is very beautiful outside and inside with many amenities for everyone. You have so many options of things to do canoe, fire pit, bbq, game room, enjoy the view, etc). Beds are super comfortable and love that every room has their own bathroom. Would definitely stay again.
