On The Mapp #1 is ready for your next OBX vacation! This bright and beachy cottage is conveniently located in the heart of OBX on the soundside at milepost 6 in Kill Devil Hills. Cottage is 3 bedrooms (plus a queen sleeper sofa in livingroom ) & 2 bathrooms and located three streets away from beach access with parking! Minutes away from the sound, multi-use trail that runs along Bay Drive, and public gazebo dock that's perfect for watching sunsets. Cottage is in pristine condition.

Fantastic cottage! Very clean, fully stocked, and a great spacious/open floor plan for groups/families. Convenient location and quiet neighborhood. Although it is close enough to walk to the beach, it is very difficult to get across the main road as there is not a crosswalk for several blocks. Public parking is available at nearby beaches, however. This didn’t bother us, but something for future guests to consider.

We fully enjoyed the location and comfort of this well appointed and spotless beach home. It was just perfect for my family of four, two of which are teenagers. The bikes and beach gear was an added bonus.

Nice spacious beach house

We enjoyed our stay at the property. It had all the basics we needed. You might wanna bring extra paper towels, toilet paper, laundry pods, and dish detergent, depending on the size of your party. The location is 3/5 compared to other properties and if you want to walk to the sand beach. You have to cross a VERY busy road. It took us 30mins from the house to the beach since the traffic light is quite far away. There’s a nice playground close to the house (5 min walk)

Great!

Stay was excellent. I have one recommendation, being a beach town, there were beach chairs, bikes, an umbrella which was fantastic. But I would recommend having beach towels too and some toiletries like a soap, shampoo, conditioner and maybe a few extra toilet paper.

Everything was perfect. The place was very clean, kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals, comfortable beds, quiet neighborhood, internet worked fine. Great communication from hosts. Will definitely be back!

The Mapp's do not disappoint. It's obvious they care about the upkeep and appearance of their property and making you feel welcomed and at home. Property is clean, spacious, updated and comfortable on all accounts. Street is very quiet.

Great location and lovely home

Our family stayed here for Labor Day weekend and we had an amazing time! Everything was clean and working perfectly. The beach chairs and umbrella in the storage area definitely came in handy. If we find ourselves in the area again, we will be sure to return.
