We had an amazing weekend at Imagine! The house was clean, beautifully maintained, and had everything we needed for the perfect beach getaway. Fran was wonderfully accommodating and made our stay so easy and enjoyable. We’ll definitely be looking forward to staying here again!

Cozy home, great location

This is a cozy home that can sleep 10, is well set up with AC units and an incredibly well renovated kitchen. Classic Kismet-style place and just far enough away from town to avoid any loud noise. Francine was very responsive to texts.

We loved this house! It was my first time in Kismet and I loved it. The house is very nice and well equipped. And the owner was very helpful and responded immediately to a small problem I had when I checked in with the electricity. It was just a breaker that had tripped and she talked me through how to reset it.

Exactly what we needed

Great size kitchen to entertain and oversized subzero fridge with plenty of room for everything, brought are little dogs that enjoyed watching everyone walk by to the beech from the upper deck, enjoyed our stay and look forward to future vacations at this great house

Great family vacation!

Outstanding property. Prime location between the bay and the beach. We had some issues with cleanliness upon arrival but Fran was easy to reach and very responsive. We worked together to find a solution.

To quote my son, our stay at Imagine was a “top-tier week”! Everything was perfect and as described. We thoroughly enjoyed the incredible kitchen and outside deck. Great property/location and only reason I can't do 5-stars across the board is ACCESS SHOULD BE CLEARLY DESCRIBED AT TOP OF LISTING! Even though Google Maps shows directions to/from, YOU CANNOT ACCESS THIS PROPERTY VIA AUTOMOBILE. The ferry schedule also changes and is not always accurately updated on the website. Future renters please do your thorough homework and confirm getting to/from! We completely bailed on the 2nd night due to these challenges.

The house and location are great. I never had been to Kismet prior and it was great for families. The only reason this is not 5 stars is because the cleaning crew did not do a good job at all. There was a random garbage bag filled with stuff on the back deck. The outdoor shower was pretty gross, there was a used razor and garbage in it. Lastly they did not leave us any garbage bags or paper towels or any extra supplies. They did note the cleaning crew was running late.

We are so very sorry that you experienced cleaning issues at the home. I know there was a problem with the cleaning crew getting there that day however I wish you had told me when you were there. I would’ve had them come and redo the job. We pride ourselves on having quick turnovers and a very clean House for our guests. I do apologize that you experienced this and I hope you’ll give us another chance.

House worked very well for us and it was as advertised. The upstairs master bedroom with ensuite bathroom is unusual in a Fire Island rental house and is a very good feature. Kitchen was large and stocked very well with dishes, glasses, cooking utensils. Two very large grills were great. Subzero refrigerator and freezer very beautiful and large and spacious - a little hard to get used to the delayed opening once it has been open but then works fine. Outdoor deck off the kitchen is very nice. All in all a good stay for a family - grandparents, parents and children.

Awesome experience

This was our first time renting a house in fire island and i must say we were not dissapointed. The "imagine" house was everything we had hoped for. The pictures were spot on. The amenities were exactly as stated- plus!!! Fran was very accessible to anything we needed. The microwave was not working when we checked in. I let her know and she immediately had a new one sent over. We will definitely be going back next year!! Thanks again fran.

Beautiful Home, Great Stay! Highly Recommend

Over the years I've stayed in a few handfuls of homes across Fire Island and I can confidently say the Imagine home has been our best experience yet. Everything was clean and tidy when we arrived, and the owner/property manager even left us champagne in the wine fridge as a welcome! The bedrooms are all a good size, we comfortably fit 10 people with no problem. The backyard is huge, great for hosting a gathering/BBQ. Front top deck is an awesome spot with beautiful views to hangout with a crew. The kitchen was well stocked with all drink ware, coffee machines, and utensils. Wagons, towels, beach chairs all provided which made beach-going super easy. The subzero fridge kept our drinks perfectly chilled which was probably the most important part of the weekend! Highly recommend to anyone looking to stay here. Great location, close to the restaurants/bars, and a quick shot down the walk to the beach.

Large, flexible house w/ great kitchen

We stayed 5 nights over Labor Day. The bedrooms are good, it was convenient to have an extra daybed for a kid who needed to switch rooms. All bedrooms had AC, and fans. Kitchen is excellent, thoughtfully designed and well equipped. Outdoor shower was typical of fire island, we love that. Kitchen is on 2nd floor along with a generous deck, which was really nice for grilling and relaxing, though not set up for outdoor dining. Mosquitos were mostly under control, some did get in every night but not a big deal, screens mostly in great shape. Wifi was good, we were able to spend one day working. While this house is close to the party hub in Kismet, the noise was minimal (I was surprised, to be honest) and overall it was a very quiet stay. The Kismet playground was nice to have for the 5 young children we had with us. We hope to return.

Great week in Kismet

The house was well equipped to provide a great stay for our family trip. Beach Chairs, Bikes, 2 Grills and a fantastic kitchen made for a great stay. The host was available and answered quickly when we had a question.

Amazing stay at "Imagine"!

Thank you, Francine, for providing your beautiful home, so that my wife and our boys could create some extraordinary memories. From the cooling AC, to the outdoor grills and terrace, we could not have wished for anything more. Having spent many years in Seaview as a boy, it was great to be able to discover Kismet and share it with my family. The location to both town and the beach was ideal and was a great base for our adventures. We hope to return to "Imagine". Thank you for your gracious hospitality.

LEFT Kismet stands for the 2 cousins and their spouses that own the home. Growing up on Long Island we were lucky enough to visit Fire Island many summers. As we got older and having our own families we knew we needed to be able to share the experience we had with our families. So we bought! The home hosts families quite well!

Kismet is the first of many communities on Fire Island. Great location, beautiful beaches and less populated than other communities on Fire Island. It's quaintness and small town feel makes it very inviting.
