Hidden Gem on Lake Wapogasset

Hi Judy, Thanks so much for choosing to stay with us on Lake Wapo! We sincerely appreciate your feedback, and please know we take these reviews very seriously. So far this summer, our guests have shared many positives about their stays – especially as written in the logbook we keep at the cabin. Upon another verification, we see the cabin as competitively priced for a waterfront property in this area on a premier lake, and one that accommodates up to 10 people. As conveyed in the property description, the cabin is rustic yet with all the basic amenities. As for any cabin with history and charm on a lake, issues can come up. We have already resolved or are working to remedy the issues you raised. To provide a clean and safe cabin environment, we are frequently in communication with our professional cleaners to ensure a comfortable stay for each guest. We have ensured the raised fire pit is now on the property. The design of the cabin does not allow for central air, however, we do have window units in two bedrooms that have the capacity to cool the entire second floor. Unfortunately, window units are limited in how quietly they run when operating on maximum settings to keep up on the hottest of summer days. Our guests have commented on the many benefits of staying at a cabin located on a very unique oak-filled 3+ acre lake lot with some of the best fishing right off the dock. Being surrounded by woods on a lake understandably includes the bugs and wildlife. We do recognize the need, and are stepping up the pest control in many ways. We continue to identify and repair any window screens failing to keep the bugs out. Bugs do sneak in with people coming and going through the doors. Regarding the internet speed – guests come to a stay at the cabin with time at the lake with family and friends, and tend to not miss being tethered to a device. We do have a lower internet speed, but sufficient for connection to the outside world (if guests need or want that).
