This fairly compact bungalow was just what we were looking for: ground-floor accommodation, the walk-in shower, two bedrooms, nice kitchen-diner, fully equipped with everything we needed, comfortable beds, good Wi-fi, the out-house, with washing machine and ironing board and iron. We were welcomed by Fatima and her daughter Caterina (daughter Ana managed the booking process). There was off-street parking for a car (though the access was a bit tight for our big car).
The view of the sea was just a glimpse of what welcomed you after a five minute walk to the nearest beach or a drive to the car park. There was a boardwalk from the car park suitable for wheelchairs and we could use it to reach the adjacent beaches and cafe.
A couple of doors away was Fatima’s mini-mart, stocking enough to get you started or for things you needed in a hurry. Also a nice cafe. There was more slightly further away in the same village - by car or on foot, including nice restaurants and more beaches. Bigger supermarkets were a few kilometres away. And, of course, Porto only a short trip away, well worth visiting. This was not one of those brash beach resorts, it was just a village by the sea, with very nice beaches and good facilities.
The Reis family team worked very well - booking process, checking our progress on the journey, welcome to the property. Everything worked.
