Ferme des années 1920 prÚs de Dupont State Recreational Forest

Shoal Creek Cottage est une ferme vers 1920 rĂ©cemment rĂ©novĂ©e avec des Ă©quipements modernes et une touche vintage. Les motards, les randonneurs et les cavaliers apprĂ©cieront certainement l'accĂšs facile Ă  la forĂȘt Dupont, car un sentier d'accĂšs est situĂ© Ă  0,04 mile du chalet. Le chalet est nichĂ© dans une petite vallĂ©e sur une ferme de chevaux de travail de 30 acres le long de Shoal Creek. Pour le repos et la dĂ©tente, le chalet dispose de 2 chambres, une avec un lit queen et l'autre avec deux lits jumeaux. Nous avons Ă©galement d'autres caractĂ©ristiques confortables telles que la balançoire du porche, un foyer au bois, une baignoire sur pattes et un foyer extĂ©rieur.

The farmhouse was in the perfect location and very relaxing.Close to town,state parks and many trails.The views around the farmhouse were beautiful The house was well equipped with everything you needed. The bed was very comfortable. My favorite place was the front porch and the swing for morning coffee and in the evening having dinner, watching the sky go down.

Very quaint farmhouse, very clean with all the amenities. Just keep in mind this is an authentic 1920s home. Lower ceilings, claw foot tub/shower. It was perfect for my sister and I. Very close to DuPont hiking, Hendersonville and Flat Rock. We loved eating and playing games at the table on the front porch. Lovely view of the horses. I would highly recommend staying here and we hope to go back.

This cute and quaint farmhouse cottage was exactly as described and the perfect home base for our family’s hiking and waterfall exploration getaway. We visited over Labor Day weekend and enjoyed exploring the local area, including Pigsah National Forest, DuPont State Forest, Hendersonville Apple Festival, and Brevard shops and restaurants. The cottage is wonderfully situated to take advantage of the areas natural surroundings. A short 5 minute drive to a five waterfall hike in DuPont forest, 30-40 minutes to Pigsah and the Blue Ridge Parkway. And 20 minutes each to Hendersonville and Brevard. The owners were very accommodating, very responsive and helpful, and showed pride in keeping the cottage clean and comfortable. We would definitely return if we venture back to the area.

Beautiful little house. GREAT location with paved roads to house. Owners are right next door and are very friendly and easy to work with. My group definitely wants to stay here again!

Very cute and clean cottage across the street from lovely horses. Conveniently located near DuPont State Forest. Owners responded quickly to a text involving a WiFi Q. The shower set up in antique clawfoot tub (of the only bathroom) was way too cozy, especially for my partner. Nice and quiet spot, and a sweet swing on the front porch.

The cottage was super cute , we loved watching the horses across the street on the porch swing! Also a great location nice and close to both Brevard and Hendersonville. Our hosts were very responsive and everything was wonderful. We will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful stay at this peaceful cottage. The location was ideal—quiet and surrounded by nature, yet still close enough to town for restaurants, groceries, and anything else we needed. DuPont State Recreational Forest is just a short drive away for those interested in hiking and exploring the outdoors.The home was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked with everything one might need for a relaxing stay. We especially enjoyed visiting nearby farms to pick up fresh, local meats and produce-it was a great way to experience the area.Olivia and Ryan were very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. This is a perfect spot for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy the beauty of the North Carolina mountains. Highly recommend!

Perfect Getaway

This place was the perfect spot to get time on some trails in Dupont and Pisgah. It was located close to Brevard & Hendersonville. Watching the horses in the morning was a treat. We will be back :)

Loved the old farm house feel - reminded us of Grandparents’ houses! We enjoyed watching the horses across the street. And it was so close to DuPont Forest! We had a few rain showers come through which were relaxing to watch from the covered porch.

The house was originally the farm's original farmhouse, but through time the property had been divided and sold. Today, Ryan and Olivia manage the original farmland plus an additional 10 acres of pasture land Ryan and Olivia purchased. Olivia teaches riding lessons and boards more than 17 horses. Ryan and Olivia recently built a larger home for their growing family allowing the smaller farmhouse to be a vacation rental.
