Our host was very attentive and prompt in answering. The place was clean, neat and perfectly stocked. The location was perfect for all of our adventures. We would happily stay there again.

Lovely apartment. It was clean, and the kitchen was awesome! Had everything you needed when you wanted to stay in for the evening. There was also a patisserie, a chocolate shop, a pharmacy, and a market directly across the street. It was very centrally located for anyone wanting to see all the sites in Normandy, including the WWII cemeteries and beaches. The only thing missing that would have been helpful was restaurant suggestions in the vicinity by the proprietor.

Heat not on in the building. Rooms were very cold. One small portable heater for whole apartment. Couldn’t use the tv due to no access code. No top sheet so had to use a bedspread that is not likely cleaned between stays.

Great location for being near the train station. Apartment was clean and comfortable. Good communication with Michael. Couldn’t get TV to work but could have been user error. Only issue of concern was very little lighting in stairway/hall leading to apartment- not something that can be controlled by owner but worth mentioning.

Our experience was wonderful! The check-in process was very clear and secure. The apartment was spacious, and exactly like the photos. It was clean, fully furnished and in a great location. We were able to walk to restaurants with ease. We would stay in this apartment again, if ever visiting the Normandy area.

Very comfortable, spacious . Rain shower is apartment located near train station. Grocery store and bakery in same street. The apartment was a great base for exploring the attractions of Normandy. Bed is comfortable, amenities are good, we had everything we needed. The rain shower was excellent. I recommend this apartment and would stay here again.

Lovely apartment in a pleasant building and street near the railway station and city centre. Well equipped, with everything you need for a relaxed stay. A most magnificent apartment.

From the moment we booked Michel's apartment, he kept us informed and met us on our arrival. We were simply stunned by the layout, decor and cleanliness of this apartment. It had everything that one would need during our stay. As an added touch, Michel provided a wonderful bottle of chilled juice and a snack each. I can highly recommend this apartment and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Thank you Michel.

Great apartment

We had a very nice stay at the property. Parking was a bit challenging but we were able to figure it out with the owner's help. Minor issue with the shower drain but will likely be fixed for the next renter. The only issue is the heat. There is no AC so we had to buy fans to sleep. It was incredibly hot and although there was a slight breeze with the windows open, it was not enough for us. Not the owners fault but something to note if you are staying the the heat of the summer as we did. Overall, great property though. Clean, comfortable and well located.

Perfect base for Normandy visit

The apartment was clean and very homey. A perfect balance of simplicity and charm. Michel met us at the property and showed us around. It had everything we needed for our 5 night stay. The location is an easy walk to train station, but in a nice neighborhood. Several good restaurants, grocery stores, and a boulangerie close by. You can take the bus to the Caen WWII Memorial museum from the stop in front of the apartment. The city also has a nice trolley system from the train station. We had a car for 3 days to explore DDay sites and Mont Saint Michel. We were able to park in the lot near the building. Michel leaves has an excellent manual with pictures to show you how to access the lot. My only concern is that the apartment was a bit cold in 50F weather. We tried turning on the heaters, but they didn’t do much. I think this was more a French aesthetic than anything particular to the apartment. We were glad we had cozy loungewear and the apartment had several extra blankets. We wish we’d had more time and hope to come back someday.

It was a very nice and clean property, and we had everything we needed for our 4 day stay. There was a bakery and grocery store just across the street. However, this apartment is in Caen, and it gets VERY cold, but the heating systems inside the house were not adequate.

This was the ideal place for our one-week stay. Perfect location just across the river from central Caen and it’s delights. Very central location for day-trips, touring in Normandy. The host was very helpful and easy to reach before and during our stay. Local bakery, grocery and many restaurants gave our trip the wonderful, neighborhood feel we longed for. Very cozy apartment

We stayed for 4 nights in September. We found the apartment to be very modern while maintaining a lovely ambience. It makes very good use of the space available. We used it as a base for travelling to Bayeux and the normandy beaches. The city itself has a lovely old centre with nice independent shops and historical sites.

An Excellent Apartment

10/10 for everything. Very quiet apartment but easy walk to centre. Free, secure parking at the back of the apartments. Restaurant next door also very good. Plus a brilliant shower!

Incredible stay

This apartment’s location is fantastic, just a 10-min walk from the train/bus station. Inside, we were so impressed with the design, cleanliness and comfort. Wonderful stay- City Break in Caen

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at City Break in Caen. The apartment was tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The kitchen was well supplied with cooking utensils, cookware and dinner ware. The neighborhood is very quiet, which was important for us after a long day of exploring Normandy sites. There is a small market across the street. Several very good restaurants within a short walking distance. We found proprietors at restaurants and shops very pleasant. Michel was wonderful to work with before our stay, during our stay, and departure. Instructions were very clear. We would love to stay again when we visit the area in the future. Thank you so much!

Tolle Wohnung-citynah

Die Wohnung von Michel kann ich nur empfehlen! Netter und problemloser Kontakt, einfaches Check-in. Wir wurden mit einem leckeren Geschenk begrĂŒĂŸt- vielen Dank dafĂŒr. Die Wohnung hat alles was man braucht, sogar einen Parkplatz sowie BettwĂ€sche und HandtĂŒcher! Die Fotos entsprechen genau der RealitĂ€t. Die Dusche ist sehr groß. Zu Fuß benötigt man ca. 15-20 Minuten bis ins Zentrum. Aber auch Öffis sind ganz in der NĂ€he. Um Caen und Umgebung anzuschauen ist die Wohnung super gut geeignet!!
