Stunning townhome at Bayou Village with two 4-seat GOLF CARTS included! This stunning residence is perfectly situated lakeside with picturesque fountain views. Panoramic views of the Choctawhatchee Bay and the marina can be enjoyed from the living area. The beach is just a few minutes ride away by golf cart or tram. You may also take the golf cart to the Village of Baytowne Wharf where you will find restaurants, boutique shops, and entertainment.

For a relaxing afternoon, spend some time outside on the screened porch and take in a remarkable view of the lake and fountain. The sunken family room is comfortable and inviting and has plush furnishings and an HDTV! If additional sleeping space is needed, guests can enjoy 2 full deluxe air mattresses. Our gourmet kitchen makes it a pleasure to prepare and serve family meals. The stylish dining area offers seating for six guests and has three additional seats at the bar. For the chef in the family, there is even an outdoor gas grill! For guests and kids, there is a full bathroom by the front door.

Upstairs, you'll find our master bedroom suite which offers a luxurious king bed with new memory foam mattress topper, an HDTV, generous closet space and a lovely lake view. There is access to a private balcony just outside the master suite. The master bathroom offers a newly renovated walk-in shower with an updated vanity. The guest bedroom features a queen bed, an HDTV, and a bunk bed (2 twins) for the kids to enjoy. The guest bathroom offers a newly updated walk-in shower. A third bathroom is conveniently located for guests. There is a full laundry room with a washer/dryer, and WIFI is complimentary.

Bayou Village overlooks a scenic lake and offers a view of Choctawhatchee Bay, and the Marina. This is a wonderful spot to watch the summer fireworks show! There are two nearby swimming pools that you are welcome to use while vacationing in our townhome. Catch and release fishing is allowed in most of the lakes and ponds at the Resort. Enjoy this exceptional townhome at 626 Bayou Village!

CANCELLATION: Reservations that are cancelled more than 30 days prior to the arrival date receive a full refund. Reservations cancelled 14-29 days prior to arrival receive a refund of 50% of the amount paid. Reservations cancelled within 14 days of arrival receive no refund unless the guest purchased travel insurance. Guests are required to complete a rental agreement by electronic signature within 3 days of booking.

This condo was a better fit for our family than the house we stayed in last year. It was spacious enough for all 7 of us. Having two golf carts was a huge plus! And communication with the rental company was fantastic! They were helpful and quick to respond. We found out this rental was for sale and seriously, if we had the extra money we would have put in an offer!

Convenient to Conference Center

We came due to a work conference at the bay view conference center. It was very convenient to be able to take the golf cart to and from the convention center and subsequent social events. It was clean and a nice view.

Horrible experience. Pulled blanket back on master bed and there was black hairs all over the sheet. There was a mouse or rat that chewed a hole in my carry on bag and ate candy that was in bag. Maintenance set traps, never caught rodent. Turner on dishwasher and it leaked all over kitchen. Maintenance discovered the rodent had chewed through hoses. Outdoor furniture had moldy cushions so we were unable to use. Place was not clean and desperately needs updates and thorough cleaning.

Nice location

I don’t recommend this condo.King bed was very uncomfortable. A mattress topper was added and it was way too soft. The queen mattress was much better so sleep on that one. Kids said the bunk mattress were awful. I’ve never been so happy to get back home to my own bed. The shower drain was clogged when we arrived and there was a note basically saying we needed to clean the drain ourselves before calling for help and that was disgusting. The grill was filthy and grill tools needed replaced long ago. The entire place needs thoroughly mopped and carpet removed from stairs. There is very little options for food storage containers. We left a bunch of supplies for the next person such as foil, paper towels
Using the air fryer will trip the breaker as the electrical wiring is not updated. The green golf cart is junk and needs replaced. The battery would not hold a charge and was worked on several times during our stay. Do not rent this place is you are hoping for 2 golf carts. This resort is my favorite place to stay in Destin. Condo has plenty of space, great air conditioning, good washer and dryer, great view out the back door for watching fireworks, very fun fishing and watching the turtles. Communication with the property managers was a little chaotic as there are multiple people trying to help. They are quick to initially respond but not good with updates which is sort of understandable if they are also helping many other guests.

Access to the golf cart is great. There are just some things off about this property. There is no table in the living room to put drinks on so you spend your time trying to make sure you don't spill. There is no mat to keep the pinestraw off the porch or from inside the house. There isn't a way to really clean the unit other than a sad broom. If you are staying more than 3 days you'll need to bring everything you need for cleaning supplies. Truly everything. The unit had candy wrappers everywhere and trash under the couch and behind nightstands. It's not being cleaned well at all. The filter from the ceiling came crashing down in the middle of the night because one of the brackets was broken and the last one finally broke. You can't use the closets because there is furniture stored in there. The golf cart back seat-back was almost completely of the bracket. The grill is gross and tiny and can't be used. One of the kitchen chairs is about to fall apart. In summary, it feels like they are trying to make some things new (couch, flooring) but it's just not great. Location and size is great so there is hope to be had.

Vacationers Beware- Not a Gourmet Kitchen & unmaintained carts

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I wish I could give this unit 5 stars but unfortunately we ran into many issues over the course of our 9n stay. Let me start by saying this was our 5th trip to Sandestin & the only negative experience. We were hesitant to book bc of previous neg reviews stating the golf carts didn’t work properly. We reached out to verify they were in working order prior to booking as this was our main draw to the unit! Upon arrival the white cart was not working, we lost a full day of use. It was repaired on day 2 but started jerking. We reported it & was told it was fine. It broke down & we had to push it back! The other cart didn’t holds charge like normal & the battery indicators were not working on either cart. We also broke down in that cart and had to push it off road & charge at a random unit. We had to call maintenance for the first 6-7 days of our stay (which was very frustrating!) Both golf carts are in horrible shape & not well maintained at all. The blue cart: the headlight was hanging out, the seats are ripped & have a scratchy seat cover & the backrest kept falling off!!! On the white cart: the radio was down inside of the dash, the back cup holders were busted off, the horn didn’t work and it had no back up beeping for safety. This was a major inconvenience for us because we rely on the carts to go to beach, the wharf, restaurants and shopping! Besides the cart issues the kitchen isn’t gourmet as advertised. The fridge didn’t maintain a cold temp, we reported this issue & were told it was fine but in reality the seal was broke on the fridge so it wasn’t sealing properly and keeping things cold. The dishwasher was not mounted/it moved & leaked, there were no pot holders (didn’t realize until I went to take food out of oven), the stove top had no markings so it was very difficult to cook on the range because you had no clue which knob is for what burner or what setting it is on & the biggest skillet w

Shabby but not chic!!! Although kitchen and baths remodeled, rest of the unit was very shabby. Ceilings with terrific water stains and well worn woodwork. Not clean, trash under couch, hair in bathrooms, and a baby powder bottle left on bathroom floor. 3 of the dining chairs were broken upon arrival. We enjoyed the view, from the screened porch, that was awfully dirty. Overall adequate, not luxurious

Quick Getaway

Overall we really enjoyed our stay. Loved the location. Golf cart made it easy to get around. My daughter loved getting to ride around and explore on the golf cart. Check in and check out convenient and easy. The beach access for the property is very crowded. The unit was updated and clean. Loved the layout. The listing stated updated walk in showers but the pics showed tub/shower combos. There are in fact updated walk in showers in both bathrooms. It was not well stocked. There were no extra blankets or pillows. There is storage space at the condo so having extra items such as beach chairs, umbrella and beach toys would be a plus. It is difficult to pack these type of items on a trip as they take up a lot of space. A keurig in the kitchen would be nice. There is a coffee maker. There were some cosmetic flaws and some of the furniture needed some work. We didn't use the top bunk because the ladder was coming apart at the bottom. Some of the dining table chairs were a little wobbly. There were a few maintenance issues that I reported at the end of our stay. I recommend this unit just be aware to bring extra blankets/pillows, hair dryer, beach items, etc.

Great Vacation!

This is the 2nd time we have stayed in Bayou Village. This stay was so much fun with having 2 golf carts! It just made it more fun following each other through the streets of Sandestin. Loved our stay and will be booking this room again next year!

Great spot

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This condo was EVERYTHING we could’ve asked for! Plenty of room for our family of 7 and very nice. Things were clean and comfortable! It also had golf carts so we could all ride which was necessary because the pool and wharf were a mile or so away. The only downside with the whole experience was how crowded the beach was. Sandestin is a private beach but it was way busier than the public beach! We will definitely book this condo again

Great location

This property was perfect for our family of 6. Pictures are accurate and exactly what you'll get. The screened in porch was our favorite spot to chill. Golf cart was a great plus! We would stay again for sure.

March 2022 Stay

The overall stay was okay but had a few complaints that needed to be corrected. The stove didn’t have numbers or words to indicate what temp you’re cooking grits or anything. The washing machine was making loud noises. The floor was still dirty according to the swifter jet we used from home. Housekeeping could’ve been better . Hair was found in master bedroom tub. Nails/screws were sticking out rail on the queen bed right side by the wall (room with the bunk bed). The outside view was beautiful. It was relaxing and peaceful sitting out on patio.

Disappointed

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We did not originally book this property. Our condo was sold & the rental company placed us in this unit. I was told it was an upgrade. The unit was in the middle of being remodeled and was not completed. It was not sufficiently equipped. The bathroom did not have towel bars or wall mounted toilet tissue dispensers, however, the holes were in the walls for both. The upstairs balcony door had no door handle and wouldn’t lock. The wager had a substance melted on the tub and the rubber flange around the door. The rubber flange was black with mold. It also made a terrible nous on the regular cycle.I responded to an e-mail from the realty company. They sent maintenance men to correct some of the issues. Both employees were nice. The second young man was very nice and very helpful. The unit had a brand new grill, but the electronic ignition wouldn’t work. The second maintenance man fixed it. The screened in porch did not have a landscaped area with stepping stones so the floor was constantly dirty. I appreciate the realty company providing a replacement rental. I am also aware that they may not have been aware that the unit renovations were incomplete.
