Oak River Company Farmhouse

Travel back in time and enjoy a stay at the Oak River Company Farmhouse. This home was built in the 1920's, but has been completely renovated, yet maintaining the unique characteristics of the 20's era. Bringing to you all that you need for a peaceful, relaxing, and comfortable stay.

2 Bedrooms, 2 Bath. 1 King, 1 Queen, a Futon, a couch, and a Queen air mattress.

*We are conveniently located less than a mile from grocery stores and restaurants.
*Less than 5 miles from Warner Robins Air Force Base.
*A half a mile from Warner Robins Little League Fields
*3 Miles to Lane Packing
*6 miles to downtown Perry Shopping
*1 mile to CGTC
* 3 Miles to Hummingbird Farm Event Venue

OTHER THINGS TO KNOW:
We have an office off the back of the house. We are in the office Tuesday-Friday 11am-5pm. We are quiet and we will not disturb your stay.

There is a door locked in the hall of the bathroom, behind the lock door is our office space. There are cameras up in the office so if you go inside of our owner office area we will see you. Those are the only cameras that we have up, as this is a personal office space and it is not part of the Airbnb.

We are closed for all major holidays.

Comfortable Stay w/ Character

This charming cottage was a fantastic stay! Full of character, it’s perfectly located—just a drive to a lively downtown with great vibes and close to the business district too. The host was super responsive and helpful, making everything smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Such a precious place

We loved staying here and will definitely be back. The decor was so thoughtful and shared little moments of faith in every room. We felt safe and secure during our stay. The house is closer to the road than I imagined, but the owner had white noise machines, and we slept without any issues. Great place!

Perfect Location

This was a perfect location to call home base while celebrating our daughter at Hummingbird Hill Farm. A ton of charm and character- we really enjoyed our stay.

Cute Farmhouse Style

All went well with our stay, our only hang up was the fact that they have a home office they work out of and the door locks and unlocks from the office side not inside the home. As a mother it was a little awkward and I would have preferred the lock be on the inside of the home. The bathtub did have standing water when we arrived and due to our schedule it wasn’t an issue as we were not at the home much other than to shower and sleep. The home was very clean, we would consider it again in the future if in the area.

Lovely historic home

This cozy historic home has a peaceful eclectic decor and was very comfortable. Great location between Warner Robins and Perry. The host was communicative and helpful.

Perfect Home away from Home

We stayed here for a baseball tournament. The host Mitzi was amazing. She was easy to contact and genuinely cared about our stay. There were no problems at all. The house was beautiful, clean, and had everything we needed. I can’t say enough good about this stay!

Hot water

We did reach out to you about no hot water and I didn’t get a response. Can we get a small refund for this. Could do two days of cold showers and we had played golf all day. Otherwise the place was a great stay

Georgia Trip with the Family

The property was very nice, roomy and spacious. With six of us the amenities were great and we had a relaxing stay at the house. The house has a lot of character and is unique. The property manager is very friendly, communicative and checked in with us during our stay. We would love to stay at the house again on a future trip - the Brakenhoff family

The home had not been cleaned before our arrival. There were tiny dead bugs all over the kitchen counter. Tray on the outside of the refrigerator door was filled with slimy water, cloth stuffed inside the ice dispenser, keurig tray was moldy and in master bath toilet paper holder hanging out of a whole in the wall. The key lock was very persnickety. We emailed, left voicemail and sent text to host who did not respond during our stay. We left 2 more messages once we were home and still have not had any responses. Listing is inaccurate as well - there is no sofa bed or Murphy bed. There is a futon. House is very close to a busy road. We did like the old features of the farmhouse and could overlook the busy road for future stays if the house had been cleaned. We cleaned everything ourselves since we had no response from host! Do not recommend for it appears they have lost interest in taking care of their home and communicating with guest to resolve issues.

Quaint charmer; great location

We needed a place to get together with family (4 adults; 3 children in total) for the weekend, and this location on Houston Lake Road was perfect. The road is busy, but it gave us easy access to the event in Perry we attended on Saturday and was conveniently close to services (grocery, etc.) we needed. The house itself is a quaint old farmhouse with high ceilings, an inviting front porch, and a quiet back yard.

Charming Cottage

We were in town for a horse show, and the cottage was indeed very cozy and welcoming. The bedrooms were quite large, and that made for a spacious feel in such a cozy cottage. The decor was wonderful too. There were two things that we were not aware of before we arrived. We would have liked to have known about these prior to the day of our arrival. When we received check-in instructions on the day of our arrival, the last paragraph of the welcome message said, "We will be working out of the back of the house Tuesday-Friday 11am-6pm. However, it is a separate entrance and we will not be in your way." This office abuts the master bedroom, and we could hear voices from the office throughout the day. Also, the door to this space locks from the other side, but cannot be locked by the guest. So, with two young daughters, it concerned us to know that someone could come in at any time, and we could not control that. We wish we had been made aware of this prior to booking. The home also sits right on a main road, which is convenient, but somewhat noisy with a good amount of traffic. Your home is beautiful and you were very gracious hosts. We sincerely appreciated staying.

Great Stay but functional issues

We enjoyed our Christmas visit and the home prompted many nostalgic memories. The home did advertise a Murphy bed and futons. What we found we're two small couches and a blow up bed (which was probably preferable to futons). Closets are unfinished, and there is very little drawer be space in the bedrooms. Bring your own hangers there were only a few available. Kitchen was a mixed bag, while generally we'll stocked for a VRBO there were only 6 forks available. There was a frozen rag stuffed into the ice dispenser, and some of the bakeware in the broiler was. Dirty or unusable. The 2nd bathroom was clean but the tub in the Master bedroom had not been cleaned and it drains VERY slowly. The hot water heater works fine for showers but the large garden tub cannot be filled with hot water without waiting 20 minutes for the water to reheat. Dust had accumulated below the couches. Back room can be a bit chilly even with both space heaters going on cold days. We were allowed to check in early which was a BIG plus to our stay, since we had a dinner that night. Note that because of our holiday schedule we did not bring any of these issues to management for resolution, so it is possible that some of them could have been addressed. We weren't in love with the idea of sharing the property with a business location but turned out to be a complete non-issue.

Adorable little farmhouse

We enjoyed our stay while visiting Perry. This adorable little farmhouse was perfect for our family, much better than a hotel. We had everything we needed. Mitzi was a great hostess.

Perfect Middle Georgia Getaway

We loved this charming farm house! The bedrooms were super cozy. We toured the Museum of Aviation one day and shopped on Perry, GA. The owners made everything easy!
