Welcome to Copperhead Cabin, a charming barn-style retreat with striking Shou Sugi Ban siding and a gleaming copper metal roof! Nestled on 20 acres of breathtaking land with hiking paths, this cozy getaway invites you to explore towering 60ft rock walls, lush treed hills, and two sparkling creeks that converge at the heart of the property. Unwind on the front, side, or two rear decks, soak in the hot tub, sway in the hammock, or gather around the fire pit with plenty of seating for s’mores and storytelling under the stars.

Perfect for groups, the cabin comfortably sleeps 9. The airy loft offers space for 5 with a twin bed, full bed, and a daybed with a trundle pull-out. The main floor features a king bedroom for 2, while the walk-out basement includes a queen bedroom for 2. Each level boasts a full bathroom with a shower for your convenience.

The heart of the cabin is the two-story great room on the main floor, where plush seating and a large TV create a warm, inviting space to relax. Steps away, the well-equipped kitchen and dining area await, with a large table for 6 and 4 bar chairs at the peninsula. The chef in your group will adore the 4x3 window above the sink, offering stunning views of the woods or a glimpse of the kids playing on the deck.

Downstairs, the walk-out basement is a haven for fun, featuring a pool table, a cozy lounging area with a Smart TV, private Queen bedroom and a washer and dryer for added convenience. Really beautiful and cozy property with shockingly comfortable beds! Yes, a rental with comfy beds! The place also has lots of really comfortable seating. The host was attentive and kind and even sent someone over to shovel the stairs and driveway after heavy snow. The hot tub has a lovely view and the whole place is so peaceful. I’d love to stay here again.

The cabin was very clean, plenty of space, and my husband and I enjoyed the pool table, games, hot tub, and the black stone grill. We cooked at home (Crossroads Meats in Laurelville was excellent) and the cabin had everything we possibly needed!

Great stay! House was spotless and we enjoyed the comforts of home like extra comfy blankets and noise machines. Very close proximity to the HH sites. We had 8 people total, two couples and four college age boys and we had plenty of space. The three full baths were especially nice. We enjoyed the hot tub as well. Mechele was one of the most communicative hosts we’ve ever had. Thank you Mechele!

What a wonderful cabin! Plenty of room for two families. It was very clean, the beds were all comfortable, including in the loft. Extra blankets and pillows were available. The hot tub, pool table and fire pit were awesome. The grill is a Blackstone, which people love, but we kind of missed the taste of real grilling-but the burgers and dogs were still yummy! The owner is incredibly nice and responsive to all questions. I never felt like I was bothering her. Oh, and the cabin has TWO Yahtzee games, so you don't have to bring your own like we unecessarily did! Cantwell Cliffs and Rockhouse and Fox's High Rock farm petting zoo were some higlights of our adventures. If you want a cozy cabin that is also spacious, in a beautiful setting, do not hesitate to rent this one!

This cabin had everything we needed. Lots of space, fully stocked kitchen, and the kids really enjoyed both the pool table and the hot tub. The cabin is very clean and polished yet still has all the rustic charm. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful family vacation stay at the Copperhead cabin. We spent our days hiking at Hocking Hills State Park and our evening soaking in the hot tub, playing games, watching movies, and soaking in the hot tub. It was a great experience for all age groups.

Gorgeous Cabin

Our trip consisted of five friends who wanted a close road trip from Columbus, Ohio. The cabin was perfect for us. We stayed in the first evening and just hung out on the deck which we could do even when it rained. The next day we hiked around old man’s cave, and then went to Hocking Hills winery. Both were perfect things to do with friends. We stayed in on the last evening because of the storms, and even though we lost all power, we were able to still do what we wanted ( hang out) inside the cabin and on the deck. This place fully met our expectations, and we all agreed that we would love to bring our friends and family back to stay again. The owners were amazing and very helpful throughout our stay.

Copperhead Cabin delivers as advertised


Weekend getaway during son’s college graduation and provided the perfect environment for some much deserved R&R. Extremely clean and provided all the essentials (I.e spices rack, utensils, grill and black-stone,etc.) and the view and privacy was amazing. It rained the entire weekend but we still enjoyed the covered patio and covered hot tub and all this cabin has to offer. Will be back!
