Fantastic location

The house was very clean and had all the necessities. Loved the location - very quiet neighborhood and we rode our e-bikes every day. My only disappointment was the pool. It was 69 degrees and took about 5 days to heat it to 82. Cost of electricity was more than I expected!

Everything went smooth. Had a few questions and they were answered quickly. Has a weird floor plan. Some light switches don’t work and tough to use ceiling fans. Chains are too short or missing. You can tell it’s a rental.

Florida vacation

No Internet for 5 out of 7 days, no oven for 5 out of 7 days. Appears these were know issues as they were mentioned in current previous reviews. We found this quite frustrating. Pool/spa area were great.

Adequate

The good: home is very spacious, in a very nice location near local stores & restaurants. House was clean. The pool area is very pretty & the view of the canal is gorgeous. Instructions are very detailed & accurate. Not so good: the home needs a lot of maintenance & upkeep. None of the tv’s are smart tvs. Satellite tv is a very basic package that didn’t even include ESPN. The internet modem is so old, the max speed is 7.0 Mbps. Ceiling fans have pull switches broken off or attached with duct tape. Towels are old. During my stay we had heavy rain & there was water in the dining room & upstairs master. Carpet in upstairs master stayed wet for at least a week, so there is probably mold now. Oven didn’t work on bake, only on broil. Hot water was plentiful the first week, but by last few days only lasted a few minutes. The internet was also down for the last 3 days of my stay, which is obviously not the owner’s fault, but since this was a working trip for me was a huge issue. Since he’s not local & appears to be overseas there was little he could do about these issues. The home is listed for sale & I wasn’t told about that until a few days before I arrived. He said I may need to leave the property for showings & “put away all personal belongings”, which is another inconvenience when you’re staying somewhere for two weeks. Fortunately this only happened once. I asked for a discount for all of this & he gave me $20 off. I wouldn’t go back.

Beautiful and quiet.

We felt very at home in the clean and spacious home. It was too cold for the pool but the hot tub was great. We enjoyed visiting the local conservation parks near by. We went to Ft Myers beach which was a short enough drive. Cerstin emailed quickly when I had questions. I would defiantly stay here again.

Great home!

We enjoyed the home. It was beautiful, clean, and great location. The host was very helpful with pool and hot tub issues. Although they were out of their control, it did interfere with us using them for a few days. Other than that, we had a great time!

SW Cape Coral on one of the 8 Lakes

Property: Exceptionally clean and well laid out. Pool was immaculate, all the cooking utensils you could ask for, and the location is outstanding with easy access to everything in the area. Fishing rods, pool accessories, etc. Instructions: Detailed and made the stay easy and enjoyable. Everything from programming the A/C to trash pick-up to check out was very easy to follow. Communication: Owner was VERY responsive to any inquiry or question. A great property in an ideal location, highly recommended.

Die Vermieterin hĂ€lt mit der Wahrheit zurĂŒck. Vertrag ĂŒber Stromabrechnung wird nachgeschoben und nicht auf der FeWo BestĂ€tigung aufgefĂŒhrt und erwĂ€hnt. Das Haus steht bereits seit vier Monaten zum Verkauf. Das Haus ist renovierungsbedĂŒrftig, die Möbel sind abgewohnt, teilweise SperrmĂŒll; darĂŒber hinaus hat die Vermieterin eine Vorliebe fĂŒr Kitsch.

Amazing vacation

Booked for my 50th birthday and our 32nd anniversary . Check-in was simple. Cerstin, the property owner, was readily available and a gracious host. We enjoyed our time so much. The pool was fantastic. We had a visit from a few dolphins right at our dock. Would absolutely recommend!

Nice location

The view and location are great Lots of room in the home with nice lanai and pool. Kitchen appliances great except for dishwasher. Kitchen amply stocked except for fry pan. Owner overseas so hard to get help with minor issues, but overall a pretty good stay

Lovely view of the water. Very clean, newly painted and carpeted..

Some things to be aware of before booking - There is an additional charge per day for every person over 2 guests. As other reviews state, electricity is not included in your rent so you pay additional fee for electricity used. The pool heater only works when the pump is on during the hours of 9:00 am - 4:00 pm. The first 2 days were 80 degrees, then in the 70's. We were never able to get the pool heated enough even when we covered it at night to try to keep the heat in. We gave up. But the hot tub did work and heated appropriately. The downstairs shower did not work because the lever was stuck. We notified the owner the first day (Friday). The owner kept telling us to pull it really hard. If we pulled it any harder, we would have broken the faucet. Monday morning she said she would have the plumber contact us. They did and the first available appointment was Wednesday. They were running late on Wednesday and we did not want to wait around any longer for the repair so we said never mind since we were leaving Friday morning and had already been using only the upstairs shower all week. She now claims the cleaning lady had no problem with it. Seriously - why would I lie? Nice, clean house with the amenities we needed. But outdated kitchen, bathrooms, pool and hot tub. You can find better.

It was a nice place

We enjoyed our stay. Some things you should know before you book: they charge you for electric, for 7 days we ended up paying $52 or maybe more. You do also need to sign a separate contract which was no issue at all. Other than that the listing is exactly as pictured. The property is great and nicely kept. Not updated but clean and maintained. It was a great pool. We didn't turn the hot tub on much but it was nice to have. It is right on the water and honestly so quiet and calm. I stayed here with my husband and two children. We utilized the pool alot. There are no "beach" towels but there are plenty of shower towels. The owner replies pretty quickly via email and is easy to reach. I would absolutely recommend this property. It was a very nice location and neighborhood.

Little annoying but a nice vacation spot

***Don’t forget: if you use ANY amount of electricity, it will be deducted from your deposit.*** One of the reasons we chose this house, the propane grill, was very gross and seemed to have burnt fish bits in the bottom, which was disappointing since we had bought all these things for grilling through the week. It was fine, though; it was broken and failed to work after multiple attempts, anyway. (There’s a much smaller charcoal grill in the garage, if you’re good with using coal—which we’re not.) Some of the decor not pictured in the images is
 interesting. There are a couple items in the house that could be triggering, if you have a fear of clowns. Overall, though, we did have a nice time! The heated pool helped since the temperature cooled off from all the rain, and the hot tub helped recover from our long drive from being stuck in gridlocked traffic on Florida’s I-75, the main road to Cape Coral (and apparently traffic does that often due to regular crashes in the same areas on the road, as we learned on the way home and via research).

Please hire an exterminator. VRBO customer service was notified and has not contacted me back.

I was disappointed with the following: 1. Multiple Spiders in the pool cage area 2. Spiders in 2 bedrooms. 3. Front entry was dark. The landscape lighting was not functioning. 4. Hole in the ceiling downstairs. 5. Multiple screens in the pool area in need of repair. 6. Rats were running outside of the home. 7. I informed the owner of the size of my boats and the dock did not fit my boat. Plus no tie up cleats for a boat. 8. The pool deck needs to be pressure washed. 9. The trash can had a fly infestation from not being cleaned and caused many flies to enter the home. Otherwise the home is a nice neighborhood. Contacted the owner and I feel she was not responsive to these issues.

We are hoping to spend more time in our house when we will be retired. In all of our vacations over the years we felt very good and we're always happy to come back.

During our first vacation in Cape Coral we felt in love with it. ... and the great view to the lake.We didn't miss anything here and therefore we bought this house in the south west area, which is one of the best from Cape Coral. We love the lovely neighborhood with all the beautiful homes around. From the first minute on in our vacation, we felt relaxed and at home.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

The special look of this huge house with the gallery makes it wide and the gorgeous view over the lake is unforgettable. This two story house has a nice and open floor-plan with large rooms and a large pool area. We created the heart shaped pool by ourselves and love to share our house with nice tenants.
