HI Kari, thank you for your feedback. We sent housekeeping and inspections through the home after you, neither reported any sighting of any insects. After speaking with you and being denied a refund, I wanted to recap our conversation. We apologize about the stop work order that was posted on the home. This was posted on Friday afternoon before your arrival for an unpaid permit fee. Although immediately paid the document was not removed until Monday morning as this has to be done by the building dept. of Kure Beach. We do hope you enjoyed the new custom deck that was built on the home, we think it is stunning! Anytime you need extra stock we are just down the road and are happy to drop items off, the home sleeps 6 and since you were only a two day stay the items were left per occupancy. But again, we are happy to bring extra towels, trash bags etc. We take pride in our homes on the island and are here to help! We regret you did not enjoy Summer Place in Kure Beach like so many others.

We're glad you contacted us during your stay so we could immediately address your concerns by securing nail heads, replacing all damaged blinds, repairing the towel holder, and bringing a fan to replace the broken one since the new one had not yet arrived. The master bath drained perfectly once we showed you how to use the diverter to open the drain. As for the vents, we did apologize and inform you that when guests leave doors open to listen to the surf, vents accumulate condensation due to the temperature difference and it can cause mildew. We offered to send housekeeping back and you refused. The new roof and deck were installed just before summer so there was no time to address the ceiling stains in one room or replace the beach walkway due to summer bookings. However, both issues will be addressed at the end of season. Thank you for your patience and feedback.
