Hummingbird Haven is a spacious retreat offering the comfort of home at every turn, with the lake close by. This two-story cabin has four bedrooms and two bathrooms. Offering two kings, two fulls, and two twins, 10 guests can sleep soundly with more than enough room to spread out. Great location

The house was very clean, great location, very functional kitchen, and wonderful fireplace (bring your own wood) I would stay here again.

Lovely Old Lake Home

We enjoyed our stay. The home was very spacious and the yard well kept. Definitely would recommend for large family gatherings! There was a very small public access beach within a short walk out the back.

Great views and plenty of room

Great views and plenty of room for everyone. Heating is a little unusual and the decor and tvs need to be updated. Enjoyed our stay and the location was perfect for our adventures in the surrounding areas.

Beautiful property within walking distance to the lake. If you are a nostalgic person, you will love the décor. Took me back to when I was a kid. My friends and family had a wonderful stay. Yes, that's good no.

Celebration of Life

Location was perfect for our needs. Lifelong friends have a house just down the road that we have been visiting them at since 1997. We were there for a Celebration of Life. The house is just a little dated and landscaping a bit overgrown.

A relaxing stay at a retro classic Airbnb

I was a bit skeptical when I read the review about the house being dated. However, I was pleasantly surprised and delighted about the condition and cleanliness of the house. Instead of dated, I would say the house is retro classic, like a movie set straight out if That 70's show. We enjoyed our stay there thoroughly and would recommend it to our friends.

Nice house near the lake

The house was nice. The microwave did not work and the hot water heater was not able to provide enough hot water for showers of ten people. Sundog staff brought us a replacement microwave. Sundog also was very responsive to our needs. We enjoyed the house and the lake neighborhood.

Smelly and dated but great location

The property had a foul odor the first 1-2 days we stayed there, and the property manager apologized but did not attempt to resolve it. We put in air fresheners ourselves which helped dramatically. The decor is very very dated, but it served our purpose as it was close to the family we were visiting.

Nice summer getaway.

My wife, my daughters stayed here in mid June and had a nice stay. It’s very close to beautiful Lake Glenville and we were able to enjoy some paddle boarding, etc. the location is central to a lot of a great cities/towns including Asheville, Highlands, Bryson City. We made day trips to whitewater rafting, ziplining, waterfalls and mountain hikes. The house is not very updated with older carpeting, TVs and kitchen appliances but everything worked well enough. no air conditioning but luckily the weather was mild and we didn’t really need it. Booking and check-in/check out process was simple. I would stay here again.

Great, comfortable stay!

Overall we had a wonderful stay at Hummingbird Haven. The cabin is comfortable and quaint and the proximity to the lake was great. There were some minor maintenance issues, though. We could not get the chimney flue completely open, so we had to squelch our fire earlier than we wanted to because of smoke. The super-squeaky pocket door to the upstairs bedroom meant that if one person woke up, the other person's sleep was disrupted. The lights in the entryway did not seem to work. Other than that, all was good and we'd happily stay there again.

Clean convenient Glenville location

This house suited our needs almost perfectly. It’s certainly not modern: but it is clean, affordable, convenient, and comfortable. Located on the east side of Lake Glenville this house has easy access to Highway 107 in the town of Cashiers. It’s also only about one minute away from a Great local restaurant Happ’s Bar and Grill; and about five minutes or less to Signal Ridge Marina. It has a nice, usable deck, half of which is undercover; with a limited view of Lake Glenville. It would probably be advisable for the owners to replace the charcoal grill with a gas grill.

Retro but fine!

Hummingbird Haven was pretty retro-decorated and they could use nicer bedding. They need to upgrade, but it was very clean and acceptable for laying our heads. Don't be bringing a large SUV into the driveway! :-/ Very thin!

Cottage was very dusty and dated. Lots of dead bugs on the floor throughout the house. We walked through a number of spider webs inside the home when we first arrived. The carpet on the main level looks like it is the original. The whole family was very congested from staying in the mold and dust filled cabin for the weekend. On the bright side, the landscaping in very pretty and the location next to the lake is great.

Not a bad stay

Very clean and homey cabin. Love the old wood furniture. Carpet could use some attention. Hot water tank may need service. Took forever to warm up after turning tank temp up. Only lasted about 15min. Could not support all rooms being occupied. Chimney may need a good cleaning. After opening flue, smoke still pored into cabin. Had to open back door to create a better updraft. It would have been nice to have heat on a low setting for our arrival. We arrived at the cabin late at night and it was freezing. Took a good while to warm up. Would stay again as it was a good price and good location.

Beautiful and worth it!

So we had a really great time at hummingbird haven and the hummingbirds really were so cute! The house was really cozy and immediately made you feel right at home! There were TVs but with so many outdoor activities that was close you definitely dont want to stay inside. Also one thing that you'll want to know that even though there was no air in the home be8its close to the lake it was always pretty cool and their were plenty of fans in case you needed them but the downstairs was definitely already pretty cool! The company is definitely helpful if you need any help and very nice! The neighbors were actually really really nice and gave us lots of ideas and places to go and visit while we were there! I definitely recommend and make sure you follow the directions to get there your gonna need it and its SO worth it! Had a great time! 10/10!! Management Response: Thank you for your feedback!
