Paix et Tranquillité

Peace and Tranquility est le nom parfait pour cette retraite calme. Partez à la découverte de la baie des Îles et revenez chaque après-midi dans un petit coin de paradis. Vous pouvez également passer des journées entières à vous détendre dans les jardins aux allures de parc, à ramer sur le lac ou à visiter les animaux de la ferme.

La maison de vacances est de construction récente avec tout le confort moderne, mais pleine de caractère et de charme. Le confort est assuré toute l'année avec feu de bois, pompe à chaleur et climatisation. Il y a beaucoup d'espace pour garer un bateau et une remorque, et un accès facile aux rampes de lancement publiques autour de la baie.

Nous sommes situés au centre pour profiter de la baie des îles. Situé à dix minutes au nord de Kerikeri, nous sommes à 35 minutes de Paihia et Russell au sud et à 35 minutes de Coopers Beach et de Mangonui au nord. Et il y a beaucoup d'autres endroits intéressants à visiter entre les deux.

À la suite de notre déménagement du Royaume-Uni en Nouvelle-Zélande, nous avons construit une maison que nos parents et amis pouvaient visiter afin qu'ils puissent profiter de leur propre espace et de leur vie privée. La course initiale est terminée et nous avons pensé qu'il serait amusant d'accueillir de nouveaux visiteurs qui pourraient se détendre dans notre maison de vacances spéciale.

TOUT EST INCLUS pour votre séjour afin que vous ne craigniez rien. Haut débit sans fil gratuit, forfait SKY complet, literie, serviettes, nettoyage et ramassage des ordures.

Nous acceptons les chiens bien élevés sur rendez-vous moyennant 15 USD par nuit.
Nous aimons avoir des chiens pour rester, un ou deux, plus on est de fous. Notre propre pensionnaire, Collie Tui, aime beaucoup les gens et les chiens. Les 12 hectares de terrain sont tous clôturés avec un portail électrique. Il y a une nouvelle véranda agréable pour que votre chien puisse dormir en sécurité à l'intérieur. Nous sommes heureux de faire du baby-sitting (seulement des chiens, pas des enfants!) si vous souhaitez sortir pour la journée faire de la voile ou de la pêche dans la baie des Îles, et que vous ne pouvez pas prendre le chien.

Loved that we could have our dogs with us, plenty of room and completely secure. A very spacious batch, well stocked with the basics. Property has a washing machine, dishwasher and a bath.

Superb location in Kerikeri, away from the hustle and bustle that this area can have during the summer. Dot and Steve are excellent hosts and are on hand to advise if needed. In fact, I found them to be of great support when the unthinkable happened during our stay. Beds were very comfortable, and the kitchen was a delight to work in for self-catering meals. All amenities listed are accurate to description and the grounds are vast - loads of space to gallop around and Charlie the dog for company if that's your jam!

Great place to stay

Another wonderful visit to Kerikeri. Dot and Steve are great hosts. The cottage is set in beautiful surrounds and Charlie the dog will make you very welcome.

Lovely accommodation, very friendly hosts, including Charlie the dog. The dog sitting was a great additional bonus and meant we could do a boat trip. Beautiful big garden for us all to roam in. Thanks for having us.

Peace and tranquility was a second heaven away from…..HOME

we had an amazing stay….. host couldn’t have been more helpful if they had tried harder. The family dog just made us so welcome and was so well behaved and a joy to have visit and tell us what he had been doing all day. Couldn’t recommend this stay more than I have to any couples or families…..just a delightful stunning spot. Well done Steve and Dot.

Never disappoints. Stayed here several times, Steve and Dot are super friendly and accommodating. The property has everything you need. And resident Charlie dog makes pals with our dogs every time.

Clean house, beautiful location

'Peace and Tranquility' is a perfect name for this place. Looking out into the green and on the water is very calming. The house is super clean and warm, has everything you need (beds could be more comfortable), and the landlords Dot and Steve were very nice. Thank you for a great stay!

Paradise, Indeed!

Lovely, peaceful setting, a cottage with all the mod cons, designed for comfort and convenience and set up for visitors. Steve and Dot are perfect hosts. We've stayed in many other rentals in Kerikeri over the years and this is our favorite. In fact, it's one of the best VRBO properties we've rented in more than a decade of retirement travel. Highly recommended.

Short Winter break

The property and hosts were excellent and attention t detail was good. Lovely setting and not too far from anything if you need to pop down the road. Charlie the dog was great company for our dog and the country feel with the other animals was a bonus. Not cheap with all the add ons but well worth it.

Steve & Dot (and we can't forget Charlie) were the perfect hosts. From the moment I booked, the communication from Steve and Dot was fantastic. On our arrival Steve greeted us with a very warm welcome and a roaring fire. The cottage was immaculate with every conceivable home comfort and we wanted for nothing throughout our stay.Charlie endlessly entertained our two dogs leaving us to relax and enjoy our surroundings.We were looking for peace and tranquility and this certainly delivered!We would highly recommend staying as you won't be disappointed.

Visitors to Peace and Tranquility

A perfect place which lives up to its name. Set in beautiful landscaped gardens, the cottage has everything that one could need. There is plenty to do in the region, but it is so delightful here that one can simply stay and enjoy a relaxing time watching the ducks on the lake, fan-tails flitting through the trees, and Charlie the friendly dog waiting for a pat! We would heartily recommend Peace and Tranquility to our friends.

A great place to stay

Our family of 4 adults stayed 4 nights at Peace & Tranquility. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Steve & Dot were lovely hosts, made even better with Charlie the dog visiting us for pats & for us to play frisbee with him. Steve & Dot gave clear instructions on how to find their place & even offered to do a small grocery shop before we arrived in case we didn't have time on the way!The cottage was well catered, full cooking facilities & plenty of clean towels etc.The cottage was very clean & well maintained. Simply The Best

6 peaceful nights spent here enjoying a beautiful home, stunning outlook and amazing hosts. I cannot find anything to say that doesn’t include heaps of adjectives. Dot and Steve were friendly and professional hosts knowing exactly when to interact. The accommodation was welcoming and cosy. The fire provided a warmth and ambiance, Charlie was a delight. Fairytale Getaway

We enjoyed our stay at Peace and Tranquillity tremendously. Especially the friendly and playful Border Collie named Charlie who lives in the main residence! The property and house are beautiful, the hosts are lovely, and there is so much light in the house! Note that the house is very close to a small lake and none of the windows have screens in them, so if you leave the windows open for air and to cool the house down as we did, you will get a LOT of bugs inside. Most don't bite, but some definitely do. That's the only criticism we have, everything else was amazing!

Sorry about the Mozzies, The house has Air-Con so can be kept cool without opening windows, but fresh air is better. In 15 years we have never had a problem or any other guests mention it. We know some folk are especially prone to Mozzie bites, so thanks for the heads up, and we will now ensure we have candles and plug in units for anyone who needs them. Dark nights, open windows and lights on, are what attracts them, but don't think we are prone to any more than elswere in a rual setting. Can't help nature.

Perfect holiday home for family!

At peace and tranquillity, the views were not only amazing but the atmosphere and hosts were wonderful!! Having spent 6 nights there and waking up to the clean crisp air gave my family and I comfort and serenity. The gardens were vast allowing my children to run around and play with the host's dog, Charlie. The house itself was perfect for a family of 4, with everything made as accessible and available as possible. Upon our arrival, Steve and Dot welcomed us into the house and explained how all the heating and other appliances worked to make everything easy for my family to use. Not only that, as we arrived late in the day they did supermarket shopping on our behalf so we could have something to eat. Peace and Tranquillity was away from the main roads allowing it to be more of a peaceful environment which was exactly what my family and I were looking for on our get away trip.

Fabulous

So enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property. Loved everything about it. You felt like you were on holiday the second you were there with beautiful accommodation and such an amazing view and gardens. So enjoyed sitting on the deck, playing frisbee and ball. And really enjoyed Charlie the dog who was so calm and patient with our little dog who sometimes gets a bit anxious with other dogs. Thanks for such a lovely holiday.

Magical Spot

We loved staying at Steve & Dots place. It is so beautiful and the hosts are super lovely, providing us fresh eggs from their hens on arrival. So nice to wake up to such a beautiful view and cuddles from the gorgeous Charlie. Thank you for having us ❤️
