Comfortable cottage. Great location. Quiet & peaceful. Amazing shower! However, I'm an asthmatic with allergies & found it to be quite musty.

Perfect Far North Base

We loved this great little cottage as our base over 3 nights as we explored the far North. Sue was so welcoming and the olive tree farm was a lovely setting. Kids loved the ducks and chickens!!

Great batch. Clean and tidy. Had everything we needed. It is very close to the road however so have to watch small children. The single beds are just foam mattresses but the kids slept great. The queen bed was really comfortable. The kids room could really do with curtains though as the sun doesn't go down till 9pm in summer and that room really heats up, 32 degrees one night, but we had to shut the windows or the blinds would constantly bang in the breeze.

Super clean, private, cosy bach, that was even better than the photos. Perfect location to multiple stunning beaches and walks. Would definitely go back again an recommend to friends and family.

Tokerau Bay

We had a lovely stay at this bach. The host was accommodating of all my requests. The house was warm and sunny with a lovely view of olive trees. My children loved visiting the chickens on the far side of the property and Tokerau beach was only a short walk away.

Super Spot

Felt so at home with amazing hosts Sue & Ray in this cozy, well-located and perfectly set-up cottage. Able to cut through to Tokerau Beach for a walk and a swim. Super easy access to many local hotspots. Kids loved the outdoor space. Can’t wait to get back!!

We had a fabulous time.

We had a fabulous time. The bach was clean, modern and had everything we needed. The location was superb - stunning beaches short distances in all directions. The hosts were very thoughtful, kind and informative. We felt welcomed like family. All in all we had a very relaxing, re-energising holiday. Great value for money.

Lovely little cottage in peaceful surroundings with friendly hosts.

The cottage was very clean and comfortable with everything we needed. We enjoyed driving to visit the various beaches near Mangonui during our 7 day stay. It was a great location from which to drive to Cape Reinga.

Quiet retreat in Olive Groves

We had a lovely 2 night stay at the Cottage. Sue gave us a warm welcome and recommendations of places to eat and visit nearby. The Cottage was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. It has good facilities for a short stay. The location was great up for our day trips out up and down the Karikari Peninsula. The map on HomeAway was not showing the correct location when we initially made the booking since it showed it as being much more inland, but is in fact is very close to the coast and just a short drive or walk to the sea.

Serene self-catered cottage

The cottage is tastefully furnished and located in a serene Olive farm. Even the night sky was beautiful to gaze. Highly recommend this cottage. :)

clean and tidy and great host

Sue was very accommodating. She had the cottage sparkling clean and her property is lovely. We had plenty of privacy and came and went as we pleased. The beds were comfortable however, my back is not good and the queen bed had a bit of a dip in the mattress on each side so I had to sleep in the middle. Otherwise very nice stay and the bed probably not an issue for most people.
