Nice view from house but not near restaurants

The house is well maintained and has a beautiful view. The property manager was "all business" - but was responsive when help was requested. Only one bedroom was made available - the other bedrooms were locked. (I some times am restless and might have made use of the second bedroom - though in all fairness I didn't raise the issue.)

The Black Batch stay

Property was as advertised in the photos, lovely views and very modern with everything you need. Although it is not self check-in Barry was there promptly when we advised of arrival and departure time. Beds could do with an upgrade as they were not very comfortable, but this also a personal thing and others may be OK with them. Would book again.

Florence Ave Home

The house itself was beautiful and fit our family of 5 comfortably. Located within walking distance to town which is always a plus. Most importantly it was clean. Only downside, it was double the price of an equal home we stayed at in Russell the week prior, but was missing key things most people don’t travel with; like hand soap.

Thanks for your review, as you know we were only 5 minutes away and could have popped in with the hand soap should you have advised/called to advise, such a shame you did not call us to rectify this minor error.

Our second stay and was just as perfect as our last.

Our second stay and was just as perfect as our last. The Bach is in a lovely location just 10min walk out of Russell with views over Matauwhi Bay. Very spacious, quiet and is equipped with everything you need. Lesley and Barry were very efficient and helpful with sorting out a few maintenance issues. We will definitely be returning, thank you!

Absolutely gorgeous house with stunning views!

Absolutely gorgeous house with stunning views! Loved the spaciousness and flow of the house - something that you can't really see from the photos. The interior is beautifully decorated and has a clean, fresh and modern feel. Heating was excellent and consisted of a wood burner fireplace and heatpump. The house is very well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable, relaxed stay. We will definitely recommend this property to others and hope to return again for another wonderful stay.

Booking process easy with no issues accessing the property on arrival.

Booking process easy with no issues accessing the property on arrival. Stunning views of Matauwhi Bay from the large, west facing deck. Easy 15min walk into Russell for that important caffeine fix and provisions. Moderate 20-30min walk to Flagstaff Hill and Longbeach. Sufficient space at foot of drive to park a 7m boat which made things easier and safer from a security point of view. We really enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate in staying here again or recommending the property to others.

Great place.

Great place. Loved the proper espresso machine. A few mins drive into town, or to long beach. Fantastic views. Only comments/suggestions: The dishwasher was a bit unreliable, vacuum cleaner was hopeless and the kitchen utensils & crockery could do with a sort out - a collection of random items, far too much stuff but lacking some essentials e.g. only 1 sharp knife!

La_Maison_de_Nautica is a wonderful experience as an ideal apartment for both couples and extended family. A quiet, extremely well equipped large apartment that is close to local shops, restaurants and fishing experiences. My wife and I have been to Russell and rented on three previous occasions and are of the opinion that La_Maison_de Nautica has provided our best experience. Lyndon and Jackie Cox
