Cranberry Cottage was lovely. It was clean and well stocked with all we needed. We enjoyed walks on the long beach right in front of the property.

Thanks to Linda and her friends. Lovely guest who connected respectfully and took great care of our home. We had an unexpected issue with the dishwasher and Linda let us know the exact issue in a timely manner so that we could get addressed as quickly as possible. We had a wonderful time at cranberry cottage. Our stay was in January but we were still able to take advantage of the local beaches. There are lots of hiking trails nearby that we were able to go snow shoeing on. The fireplace at the cottage was a nice surprise as we had some very cold nights. The host was responsive and I would definitely love to visit when the weather is a bit better but if you’re looking for a winter getaway this is definitely a place to consider.

Cottage was clean and very well fitted out including kitchen supplies. Very comfortable. The location cannot be beat - right on the beach. We wished we had booked for longer so we could have enjoyed the cottage more. Very happy with our stay.

Throughly enjoyed staying at the Cranberry Cottage. It has everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. The location is perfect and the scenery is beautiful. If you bring your fur baby with you there’s lots of room for them to roam. Would definitely recommend and would stay there again if we ever went back to that area. Beautiful Quiet Oceanside Oasis

Right on the Atlantic beachside. Beautiful sweeping views. Quiet location with easy access to all the convenient services and historic attractions and wonderment that is Cape Breton Island. Gorgeous well design interiors with everything you need for an amazing stay. Definitely a gem.

My husband and I were both born in Ns but met 35 +years ago in Toronto which is our main home. We have been together for over 35 yrs, have two sons now 27 and 23, adopted at 9 months each four yrs apart. We recently retired and when considering possibilities thought we would buy a place near our family. Then we decided we are not ready to leave the boys so let’s rent it out so others can enjoy the stunning scenery, amazing people and limitless activities our beautiful home province offers.of you’re headed to Newfoundland the ferry is just 10 min from our home

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

Sydney Mines in its day was a huge Coal mining town. Many of the company house still stand. While the mines have been shut down for years the spirit remains. The locals are kind, simple, giving people who love to share local stories, meet visitors and tell you the history.

It’s unique because it’s on the ocean, like 50 steps to the sand. It’s literally around the corner from world Heritage sites including the Louisbourg Fortress and the Cabot Trail. It’s relatively private and well maintained.
