The hosts were amazing and the home was gorgeous, well stocked, and comfortable! Plenty of room for my husband and me with our two adult daughters. We definitely want to return. We love the Wichita Mountains and the Wildlife Refuge.

Beauty on the Big Rock

We So enjoyed our time at your home! Stunning views! We loved the porch to sit still and just be with Nature. Our getaway was lovely --thanks to the well-appointed home with all bedrooms on the ground floor plus the nice Loft space as well. We so enjoyed the details of the home! Loved the vintage microwave! Loved being near All that is Medicine Park. This home is a Stunner!!!

Perfect getaway - Friendly hospitality - Clean & comfortable

Our stay was fantastic! The property was very clean and well-stocked with everything we needed. The host was accommodating and provided great local tips. The house was beautiful & the location was perfect, close to everything we wanted to see and do. We can’t wait to go back!

Family Time

We spent 4 days & 3 nights in this great space. We were looking for a place to get away from the daily grind & spend time with our extended family, six adults and one pre-teen. You can check out the amenities in the listing, but I'll just say they're top-notch. This isn't a bare bones lease, this house has EVERYTHING.We cooked breakfast in each morning and ate our other meals out (American, Mexican, and Vegetarian/Vegan) including homemade ice cream and bakery treats for dessert. There were opportunities for souvenir shopping and listening to live music in the evenings. When not at the house, we hiked some easy trails (& one a little tougher), visited the aquarium, & drove thru the wildlife refuge where we saw bison & prairie dogs up close & personal. We also saw deer several times during our stay, some right in town. When we just wanted to hang out, the house was super comfy. We sat around the living room and visited, streamed a family movie, and played some games up in the loft. One evening, a fairly wild storm blew through and the house felt snug and safe. It was awesome to watch the lightning through the upstairs windows.We highly recommend The Blue House on Big Rock Road in Medicine Park!

Blue House on Big Rock Getaway

Our stay at this vacation rental was absolutely wonderful! From the moment we arrived, we were struck by how beautifully decorated and inviting the house was. Every detail had been thoughtfully considered to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed, even a charming red microwave that added a unique touch!The beds were incredibly comfortable, with plenty of pillows to ensure a restful night’s sleep. The living area was cozy, and the television was just the right size (big!) for relaxing movie nights. Natural light poured in from the transom windows and other large windows around the house, creating a bright and cheerful atmosphere.The loft was a true highlight, offering an amazing view. We spent several evenings in the Adirondack chairs, soaking in the beauty of the sunsets—it was so peaceful. The master shower was another standout feature: spacious, modern, and luxurious, it was the perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring.The location couldn’t have been better. It was conveniently close to the Medicine Park downtown area, where we enjoyed the charm of local shops and restaurants, and just a short drive to the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge. The refuge was outstanding—we saw so many buffalo roaming freely, which was an unforgettable experience! We also visited Mount Scott, and the view from the top was unparalleled, offering breathtaking panoramas of the surrounding landscape.This “Blue House on Big Rock” exceeded our expectations in every way. We highly recommend it to anyone seeking a cozy, convenient, and unforgettable getaway surrounded by nature and charm.
