We stayed at the retreat among the pines while my daughter was in town to take the ACT, and it could not have been a better fit for what we needed.The space was peaceful, comfortable, and incredibly well appointed. Every detail felt thoughtful. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, the shower was fantastic, and the quiet setting among the trees made it easy to relax and get a great night's sleep before a big test day. We especially loved the views from the deck and only wished we'd had more time to sit outside and enjoy them.The hosts were wonderful and went above and beyond when we accidentally left items behind, making the recovery process easy and stress-free. Great restaurant recommendations in their binder. We chose Frida's and it was fantastic.A perfect retreat for anyone looking to rest, recharge, and enjoy a beautiful setting. We would gladly stay again.

From booking to check out, our communication with Stephen and Pam was wonderful. Pam had some helpful restaurant suggestions and also made sure we were comfortable in our place. We had everything we needed and more! We will definitely stay here again if we're in town!

I can say that I have stayed at probably 40 or 50 rentals over the past several years and this is one of the best. It’s pretty new. Spotless. Very well equipped. Comfortable bed. Beautiful bathroom. Perfect for a couple. We were there for my Culver alumni reunion. They have many of the basic supplies you need like oil and spices coffee creamer. So you don’t have to spend a lot of money on that stuff. Only thing to know is that there are stairs to the rental because it’s a loft. The place is super peaceful. We went to sleep last night to the trilling of frogs in the woods. Woke up this morning to the birds. We would definitely stay here again.

The property managers are very kind. This is a clean cozy place to stay. Every detail was thought out to make this stay comfortable for the guest! The shower felt like a spa. Cute retro style appliances and really good coffee in the mornings. Deck offers a nice view too

We are natives to this part of northern Indiana. We built our farm from ground up with the dream of having a "bed and breakfast" since the early 90s. However, with 3 children thrown in the mix, the bed and breakfast was put on the back burner. As time and the name (bed and breakfast) have evolved, we have finally been able to embark on our dream.

We chose our location because of the closeness of family, and also has been a peaceful place to homestead.

You will see us around as we are a working farm: from vegetable gardening to selling eggs to canning pears to wine making to cooking down maple syrup!
Take a nature hike down our trail, Possum Path and loop around Cedar Grove. But watch out for Jack Pine Plunge!
