Lakeside retreat is a 5 bedroom 4.5 bath cabin with private boat dock, fire pit, gas grill, smart TV's, 2 family rooms, and awesome outdoor living space. This lakeside mountain oasis is perfect for a family vacation or couples getaway. Bring your private boat or rent one to enjoy the clean and refreshing mountain air of the Blue Ridge mountains while taking in the sparkling waters and outdoor adventures of Lake Blue Ridge. Don't miss out of this property, as the summers will stay booked. Lakeside Retreat is only a 5 minute drive to the historic downtown Blue Ridge strip where there is fine dining, shopping, and adventure awaiting you and your guests.

**PLEASE NOTE** The water level is seasonal. Water at property from Memorial Day to Labor Day. It often extends beyond that but there is no guarantee. Dock sits on dry land when the lake is drawn down.

Awesome Lake House

This was our second year in a row renting this house and it was great once again. Can’t beat the location and the lake was perfect. The home is well stocked with all essential supplies and communication with the owner was fast. Thank you once again and we hope to come again next year!

This house was awesome!! 100% recommend! Not only does it have a great view, the bedrooms are all nice and the beds are super comfy. They stock the house with everything you could possibly need and more. Great location too. We will definitely stay again.

House was clean and easily accessed. Adequate parking. Coffee and supplies were provided. No fault of the host but the lake water level was low and shoreline muddy. The floating dock needs TLC. We did not have pets. It would have been nice to have additional seating on the main floor deck.

Perfect Location and House

The house is in an ideal location close to Blue Ridge and on the south end of the lake. It is nicely finished with nice furniture and plenty of space. The outdoor decks are great with amazing views of the lake and mountains. It does sit pretty high above the lake, so it's a bit of a chore to go up and down to the lake. Overall, a great lake vacation!

Great Christmas Stay

We loved it! It was very cold the first few days and we enjoyed relaxing in the house and the hot tub. When we ventured out later in our stay it was close to everything. The road in wasn’t bad with the snow. It had the necessary kitchen things for cooking. When we had an issue with the heat and the fireplace the owners came and helped, were super nice and helpful. Overall 10/10 and we’d be back.

Funtime at the lake

The location is great. All of us adults and kids had a great time, once the air conditioning was fixed (checked in on Sunday, fixed Wednesday). The ladder at the dock was broken and repaired while we were there but it was not a good functional ladder from the lake to the dock and it slants back under the dock, making all but the top step useless. Some upgrading is needed, but the basics are there for an excellent lake trip.

Blue Ridge Getaway Fall Lake Water Low

The property was a great location and was a nice home that was recently updated with average decor. The real feature is the location on the lake, beautiful views! The house was clean and well appointed with everything you need. If you are staying in the fall please know the lake level is low which affected the view with a lot less water. You cannot boat, fish or swim with low levels. The owners did discount our rate as the listing at the time did not reflect it. I’m sure summer would be better with the dock etc.

A Wonderful Thanksgiving Getaway

Quite a beautiful home and location with a few issues. 1. Tablet missing 2. Main kitchen refrigerator temperature stayed warm. 3. Fireplace downstairs won't stay on. 4. Broken door knob to dining room. 5. Drafty around door and windows. 6. No curtains or blinds in bathroom. 7. Broken blinds on the main level bedroom.

Great Place for Family Reunion

Wonderful place for a family reunion for all ages. The lake front property provided hours of swimming, boating, standup paddle boarding, and floating for our family. Some of the lights, electrical appliances (ice maker, upstairs washer and dryer) were out of service and the house was not equipped with serving dishes or serving utensils. We had a great time nonetheless.

Nice Stay

The exterior of the property needs cleaning and maintenance. The inside is good. The location is nice meaning its close to the lake and recreational area but the Morganton city is not very well maintained. We could see abandoned homes, trash etc in the neighborhood. Not deal breaking but we have lived in cleaner neighborhoods in the mountains.
