Collingwood Birdsong Cottage is a creative self-contained holiday home in a private forest garden.

Enjoy a 5 minute walk, or 2 minute drive to Collingwood’s cafes, art studios, estuary and beach. Just a 15 minute drive to the famous Mussel Inn for great music and nourishing meals.

Ideal for a restful retreat, or as a base to explore Golden Bay’s wilderness forest tracks and endless beaches for swimming. Birdsong Cottage is full of character, with natural timber features and a restful simplicity.

The downstairs living spaces are spacious and open-plan. You’ll find a full kitchen, dining room and lounge with a log fire for winter warmth. This space opens onto the covered deck and lawn for easy summer living. A great place to relax and enjoy the sun or shade, and the beauty of the wilderness garden.

Internal french doors off the lounge lead to a cosy bedroom with 2 single beds (low futon slat beds with comfortable inner-sprung mattresses).

Upstairs you'll find a sun light-filled attic bedroom, with views of the tree-tops and native birds. This room has a queen slat bed with a comfortable inner-sprung mattress.

A small desk provides the ideal place for some contemplative writing or drawing.

The downstairs bathroom has a shower and a bath (with garden and bush view). There is a separate toilet with hand basin nearby.
