Never got in the house

The owner never sent check in information and neither I nor VRBO could reach her. I arrived at the house and the exterior was very dirty. I was unable to get into the house but through the windows, the inside looked OK. After over an hour on the phone with VRBO, they set me up at a super 8 motel east of the city on I 10. The next morning there was still no communication from the owner on how to get in and so I told VRBO that I would make my own reservations elsewhere.

Acceptable for price

The location was ok. Close to downtown and Riverwalk. It is in a residential area which is fine. It was about a 10 min walk to some good restaurants in Southtown area. The blocks to the north-west are nice, with many restored 19th century homes, but a couple blocks in the other direction seemed a little sketch. The house was nicely restored and clean inside. The outside could use a little work, Not inviting at all. Outdoor furniture was very dirty, BBQ covered in dust. I wasn’t planning on cooking outside but after seeing outside area I would never have used it. The inside was nice and spacious, adequately equipped. Again, ok for the price.

House is old, but has a lot of character!

Good location, had all the amenities we needed. Only giving 4 stars because main TV in the living room would not connect to wifi and I thought the house had 3 queen beds instead of 2. Some family did not end up coming, so it worked out. House is old, but has a lot of character! I would recommened it to any families staying in the area.

About 3 years ago we started with Airbnb because we thought the King William Historic District could be enjoyed by many other people and would love the access to all the downtown venues.

Location, Location, Location is great to Downtown San Antonio. Easy expressway access to everywhere else.
Traveling with your children? There are tons of kid-friendly activities downtown as well! Ripley’s Believe it or Not !, The Amazing Mirror Maze, Guinness World Record Museum and Louis Tussaud's Waxworks. The San Antonio Zoo and Japanese Tea Gardens are only 12 minutes down the expressway and a great way to spend half or even a full day of adventure and fun.

With downtown only a 5 minute drive or 10-15 minute walk you and your family will enjoy the award-winning restaurants like Bite, Bliss, Cube, and Rosario’s, the trendiest bars and coffee shops, and historical areas such as the Alamo and the Riverwalk with daily guided tours by boat or by land to learn more about how this beautiful area was developed into what it is today. Go see a show at the Magestic Theater or peruse the exhibits at the Witte Museum only 5 short minutes away. The Mexican shopping area in Historic Market Square boasting 100 shops over 3-blocks, with apparel, handcrafts & food galore. La Villita (The Little Villiage) has some of the most beautiful galleries and shops with gorgeous handmade products you cannot get anywhere else! The outdoor Arneson Theater at La Villita is a must see for any lover of entertainment. Tower of the Americas, the Convention Center, Alamodome, and Hemisfair Park are all only a short 5 minute drive. Don’t forget about San Antonio’s First Friday Celebrations as well!
